  1. No need for an actual meeting with Campbell I would believe. I'm sure Luke has told Beane and McDermott all they need to know, then they have the tape as well. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/iowas-jack-campbell-is-a-middle-linebacker-nfl-scouts-destined-to-love/article_4159d946-b933-11ed-ad5c-2f2d2aa26cab.html#:~:text=Jeremiah said Campbell has been,third-round pick in 2020.
  2. I agree, Campbell is definitely a plug and play starter in the NFL. I also believe that where some of these other guys depend on their athleticism alone, Campbell more than makes up for it with his football IQ (which is off the charts). If you process things quickly, and play your role without hesitation, you don't have to be a 4.45 40 guy. I really think Campbell could be the Kuechly in this defense everyone was hoping Tremaine would have become. I'm not as high on Simpson as some are. I think he could have a nice role as an OLB in a 4-3, but I think he will struggle to play inside. I think Sanders will as well, if they play him inside. I think Sanders would be great playing the Will, and being used as a blitzer from time to time off of the edge.
  3. Simpson is a no from me. He's athletic as can be, but his instincts are meh and he is like Tremaine in that he gets lost in the wash of blockers. If we were going to more of a traditional 4-3, with 3 LB's on the field, I would play him at SLB. I don't see him as being a MLB in our defense though. I hope they don't either. Sanders is definitely talented, but he only has one year at the position while at Arkansas. He's also very thin framed for manning the middle.
  4. I'm resigned to the distinct possibility our pick @ #27 will be Jack Campbell / MLB / Iowa. I think there are only a handful of players being unexpectedly available at #27 who could change that. Seeing how we've maneuvered in FA though, that tells me this is what will likely happen. I won't be mad at the pick and I think the guy will be solid in this defense.
  5. Goodell headed to sign on the dotted line
  6. Good for McKenzie. He can prospect for the opening of a new BBQ joint while he's there also. Matt Ryan, He was released.
  7. Good for Singletary. He's accepted the role of backup. It's not a bad gig for the $$$. He's not gonna win this year, but RB's have to maximize their value as much as possible.
  8. It trips me out how these "analysts" and the sports media crowd keeps trying to say, "this team should trade for Lamar. No, this team should trade for Lamar. Lamar makes the most sense here. Lamar should be the top priority of (blank)." I mean really, do they even think about the drivel before it tumbles out of their mouths? Then they act like it's a conspiracy or some kind of travesty that no one is doing the things they are suggesting. Two first round picks to the Ravens and the guy wants a contract with the most GUARANTEED $$$ in the history of the NFL. It's not rocket science. It's two 1sts and a contract that could set your franchise back for years to come, especially if Lamar suffers a play style altering injury. It's a huge risk for a guy who has missed at least 5 games per year the last two due to injury. This is why the analysts and sports media crowd aren't GM's or owners. Because they would fall flat. He also should've coughed up the 2 or 3 % and hired Drew Rosenhaus. He would've been sitting on a nice guarantee by now. Maybe not the Watson contract, because the Browns are idiots, but he would have gotten more than Russell Wilson or Kyler Murray I bet.
  9. OK, I do know who this guy is.
  10. No idea who this guy is. Could care less about this signing, one way or the other
  11. Word is Brown had a 6 year $139M offer on the table with KC. He turned it down thinking he could get more elsewhere. That would've been $23M per year. The Chiefs pivoted and signed Jawaan Taylor. He ends up signing in Cincy for 4 years and $72M. That's $16M per year.
  12. I'd rather have someone else than this 🤡. His airplane incident, his whole Prima Donna attitude, and someone who is rich af already moaning about $$$. He's coming off his 2nd ACL injury in the same knee and is over 30. Go float off into the sunset.
  13. He definitely would be much better off in NY with the Jets or Miami. I think he is exactly the type of QB that Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman were looking for in SF though. He's CK, the upgraded in a lab version. Brown is better than Davis though. At least he can get separation. And the TE's? He's had one of the best TE's in the NFL in Andrew's, and Hurst wasn't a slouch either. Not to mention, the threat of his legs makes things happen. He'd definitely be a problem, like you said, in either Miami, NY, and possibly even Washington.
  14. I like Lamar and he's fun to watch play. But even a lot of his passing is set up by his legs, or the threat there of. I know I've watched him throw 10 or 15 TD's in the Red Zone where he could run, but throws a little 3 yard type TD pass. He's one of the best scramble drill QB's I've ever seen, especially running to his right. He is NOT a traditional pocket passer though and never has been. He still struggles reading defenses, throwing passes outside the hashes, and with timing consistently.
  15. He's a big boy, and he's got straight line speed, but he's an edge defender and one of the knocks on him is his lack of instincts against the run. We just had one of those.
  16. No my friend. Not at all. It's just some people are dangling off the ledge one way, then others are doom and gloom to the other. There's a rope tied to each of their legs joining then together so neither can truly fall
  17. He, OBJ, already came out and said he's not sure where the "quote" came from and $4M "AINT" enough. The $4M quote probably came from an American Airlines stewardess.
  18. So which one is it? Are we p*ssing and moaning about not signing more of the free agents the armchair GM's want us to sign? Or are we p*ssing and moaning about a 3rd Rd comp pick because we've signed too many people already? Make up your miserable minds.
  19. I work with a few Steelers fans. You think Bills fans are bipolar? Yeah
  20. I don't hate him at all. I'm talking about what the Steelers' fan reactions would be. That's your delusional assessment. I don't think he's anything more than a gadget player and you can't argue his affinity for untimely drops that somehow seem to find the defenders. He could have stayed, but it doesn't hurt that he's gone.
