  1. Whatever his issues are, he's about to get some run now and I hope he makes the most of his opportunity. He showed some flashes last year of being a talented young CB. I hope this has served as a learning experience and now he comes out with some fire.
  2. Couple McGovern with Torrence and this OL is actually solid.
  3. This NY team looks like complete crap without Saquon. And Brightwell is trying to get a pink slip on Tuesday.
  4. Been like that since he took the NY HC'ing job
  5. And those are the types of headscratcher calls that Daboll makes. Run on 3rd and 10.
  6. Tre is all class. Done. Go Bills!
  7. There are multiple contributing factors. Dorsey needs to be a bit more creative with his play calling in the passing game, and use pre-snap motion to our benefit. It's been quite vanilla in this regard, and I think it goes back to last season. He needs to be better at scheming up route combinations that actually get people open. We have two good TE's, one drafted in the first round this year because of his receiving prowess. For God's sake, use the man for the same reasons you drafted him. Him and Knox should be mismatches against smaller defenders all game long. Let Knox do what he's done the last three years, and have Kincaid running option routes to find the soft spots in Zone as well as running the seams. At the same time, if Josh continues to take what the defense gives him (as he is completing 72% of his passes) then this will mask some of Dorsey's deficiencies. This is until we get into the Red Zone. Josh also has to STOP throwing the ball into double and triple coverage. At this point it's just stupid. Live to fight another play. Overall, the play calling and utilization of the guys we have has to be better. Spencer Brown still isn't a good NFL RT. He can't handle speed rushers for sure, and finds himself setting up too high against the bull rush at times also. Davis is still meh. One game he may be a lion. The next three he may be a lamb. Shakir deserves more looks in the Slot if we are running three WR sets. Harty has been rather ineffective. Not really sure what's going on with Sherfield, whether it be scheme or on him, but I expected a bit more out of him as well. The running game and Cook have been a welcome surprise this year. Of course that will take away from some of the gaudy passing numbers, but all of us can see this offense still isn't clicking.
  8. They scored 34 on the Chargers, 24 on the Pats, and 70 on Denver. The 70 against Denver does not mean they have turned into some super power that no one can stop. I believe the typical Dolphins team you will see resides in that 24-34 range. Our defense is better than both the Pats and the Chargers (who held them to lesser outputs). I think we keep them in the 21-30 range and that our offense has no problem moving against their defense either. Hopefully we can get some early pressure, knocking Tua around a bit, and have him seeing ghosts in the pocket the rest of the game.
  9. Same thing as last year when Wilson was stinking up the joint. He finally benched him after the post game presser where Zach claimed he wasn't letting the defense down with his crappy performances. The locker room revolted after that, then it was Mike White time. That is until Milano almost snapped him in half.
  10. He's still salty from when Josh left him hanging.
  11. For comparison, our local high school tickets are $10 a piece. I'd rather buy two tickets for myself to the high school game than one ticket to Denver vs Chicago.
  12. I chose Daboll over Dorsey, but it's a coinflip honestly. I doubt that happens to him after a single bad season in NY (if he does have a bad season this year in NY). Daboll's offenses seemed more creative overall and I think he and Josh had a better relationship. But if Dorsey continues to do some different things this year, and the offense eventually clicks, then you definitely would keep Dorsey. It's still too early to tell right now. If you think about it, the offense didn't really click here with Daboll running the show until year 3. Granted the tools Daboll had to work with changed significantly with the addition of Diggs that year, but we all used to complain about his play calling a lot at times too. The problem with any OC in Buffalo is Josh potentially making them look really good and some other team hiring them. It's the same way with coordinators all over the league, especially those on successful teams. See Brady with McDaniels (twice teams have been suckered by this guy), Manning with Gase (another repeat offender), and Rodgers with Hackett. We may be in for rinse, cycle, and repeat over the next decade with Josh here as far as OC's go. If the necessary talent is around him, then Josh will be successful no matter what.
  13. Tua, Milano Snap back to reality Milano, Tua
  14. Good morning gentlemen, and ladies. Long time no see. On to the Herbert debate. I like Herbert. Good QB, and the market is what it is for good QB's these days. Can't really fault him, or his agent, for maximizing his value. It's not like he's Daniel Jones or anything. He has had some solid weapons around him since he's been in the league with Ekeler, Allen, Williams, and whatever option at TE. His numbers have been really good every year. In 2021 he threw for over 5000yds. Last year he threw for over 4700yds. He has a cannon arm, and is pretty smart with the football. One thing I have noticed about Herbert is he just doesn't seem to have that "it" factor about him. You could see it in Josh from that first start against Minnesota. I have never seen that same fire, or felt like Herbert was the same type of leader of men that Josh is. And people are right, it does seem like he disappears at times or shrinks in the moment. In the end, I'm still glad Miami took Tua over Herbert. I'd hate to see him twice a year with that stable of weapons around him. Brandon Staley, however, has to be one of the worst head coaches in the league imo. He's had questionable call after questionable call, game after game for 3 years now. The icing on the cake was the blown 27-0 lead last year in the Playoffs. Now this year, in the juggernaut that is the AFC, they have started off 0-2. I don't see how he still has his job tbh. I would imagine he'll be canned at some point during or after the season if he doesn't right the ship really quick. The main issue I have with Staley is how their defense constantly looks, being DC is his background. I believe he is truly the one holding the Chargers back at this point.
  15. A live look at Chiefsaholic starting his new life.
  16. Welp, there's goes the Hopkins $$$
  17. That's a whole lotta Valium going around here The radar didn't matter. The injuries, however, made all the difference.
  18. To help some people step away from the ledge
  19. As is your wallet.......somewhere
  20. 4.54 speed, but subpar instincts. Campbell has 4.65 speed, elite short area quickness, and excellent instincts.
  21. Campbell. Campbell would be what we all hoped Edmunds would become in this defense. For whatever reason, Beane and McDermott believe in Brown (even though a lot of us don't).
  22. The way the draft picks have been spent is obvious. But we have holes to fill and a cap hit of that sort screws us over and takes away two potentially impact players. Let's not forget we need a MLB and still a couple more pieces for the OL. We're also thin without Lawson or Phillips. You name these other teams, but neglect to mention what they already have. Both have OL's better than ours. Both have an overall skill group better than ours. Lots of changes coming this year though, already starting to lose some players. In the end, back to the topic of Hopkins, it doesn't matter anyway because Beane won't do it for that price.
  23. No we don't. We still need to add to the defense and the OL. We only have 6 picks. If we give up that for Hopkins, AND have to find a way to navigate his salary, we'd be in trouble.
  24. Beane WILL NOT make this trade if that is their asking price. He just won't. He'll look elsewhere or just go the draft route.
