That trade caught Seattle a manslaughter charge. Oh, you could increase that list by 50 if you're doing drafted QB's

Who Would You Trade Up For, And How Far Would You Go Up To Get Them?
H2o replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, that's a bit dramatic. The team took two DE's in the first two rounds, one of which was a bust. We seem to be alright. -

DEFINITELY not trading up for a DE. Side note: This board would never recover if that happened. -

Just because that single trade didn't work out for us, doesn't mean you can label all trades based off of that. Watkins never live up to his draft position, but that doesn't mean the next guy won't. It's a risk whether you stay put and pick a guy or you swing for the fences on someone else. Swinging for the fences may cost you a little more, you may be putting a little more into it, but you can still strike out either way. -

And who was the OC at the time? The same coach who went away from McCaffrey for over an entire quarter of game action in this most recent SB, Kyle Shanahan. That's a no go for me. I don't want any parts of Keon Coleman. -
Mort hung in there for a long time while battling cancer. May he rest in peace.

After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?
H2o replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we're staying at #28? 1. Brian Thomas Jr. (a pipe dream at this point) 2. Adonai Mitchell (probably gone as well) 3. Xavier Leggette 4. Ladd McConkey -
The Combine has been fun to watch this year because of the performances by those at our greatest position of need, WR. From the 40's, to the drills, to the tape we have already seen on most of these guys, this is the year we can truly get a difference maker to go with Diggs. The way the draft is going to shake out hinges on how teams view these QB's. That's usually the case, but these year even more so I believe. The first 13 picks are where the most QB needy teams are. In those picks you have 8 teams potentially in the market for a QB. Chicago, Washington, New England, Atlanta, Minnesota, Denver, and Las Vegas. The NY Giants could possibly go QB if they have soured on Danny Dimes and want to groom a guy for a season behind him. There was also talk of the Jets looking at QB's. Then you still have teams like Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Tampa who could be in the QB market come the draft. A few of these teams are likely to fill their need for a QB in FA or via trade with Mayfield, Cousins, Fields, or Wilson. How the QB situation plays out will have a huge impact on the top 13 picks. Even with the talent pool there are still tiers to this WR class. It is extremely deep though. It's pretty much Harrison, Nabers, and Odunze followed by the rest. I think all three of those guys are going to be stars in this league. Some people say that Nabers may end up being the 1st WR off of the board and not MHJ. Either way, those two with Odunze are the cream of the crop. Even though two of those guys did nothing at the Combine, I have seen enough game film to know what they are. The next tier are all extremely talented, but they have more question marks. Say the draft pans out like the below scenario. Would you be willing to pay the cost to move up from #28 and how far would you go? 1. Chicago - Caleb Williams 2. Washington - Drake Maye 3. New England - Jayden Daniels 4. Arizona - Marvin Harrison Jr. 5. LA Chargers - Brock Bowers 6. NY Giants 7. Tennessee 8. Atlanta 9. Chicago 10. NY Jets 11. Minnesota 12. Denver 13. Las Vegas I guess a lot of depends on where you feel this team is at overall. And to move up into the top 10, it's gonna cost you. Probably #28, our 2024 2nd, possibly another 2024 pick, 2025's 1st, and a 2025 3rd or 4th as well. Would you call Schoen and pay the price to get Nabers (or Odunze depending on your preference)? Would you wait and see how 6, 7, and 8 play out then hit up Chicago? Me personally, I seriously consider making the move for Nabers. He, Diggs, Kincaid, Cook, and Shakir out there with Josh slinging to rock around? In all seriousness though, who could the defense key on that would stop this offense then? Imo, at least 2 of the 5 would always be open. We'd have the best offense in the NFL. What would you do? Move up for someone? Stay at #28 and see how the draft plays out? Who is your guy and what would you be willing to do to get him?

Al Davis is going to resurrect from the dead to draft Worthy first
-
Leggette with that 4.39 on the 2nd
-
4.47 for Leggette. 4.35 for Adonai Mitchell tho 🔥
-
DeVonta Smith is 170lbs. He's pretty good. Pass on Coleman.
-
Franklin with a 4.41 isn't bad at all. For some reason I thought he was taller though.
-
Shakir has some versatility. Ideally, he's going to start in the Slot next year. Really good hands and made the most of his opportunities. Josh also was looking for him more. Gabe saw 81 targets during the regular season last year. Shakir, already having chemistry with Josh, should see a some of those.

Pats now have 101 million in cap space - What would you do with that?

Sign the entire staff from Orchids of Asia to the active roster. -
Mike Evans to hit free agency (UPDATE: Re-signed by TB)
H2o replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
He already has one. At this point in his career, he's probably just looking for one more payday. If he can get that AND chase a ring he would do it. I think the biggest threat to steal him from Tampa is Houston. He played his college ball at A&M (College Station is fairly close to Houston), he's also from Galveston, TX which is not that far from Houston, Houston has $68M, and they have CJ Stroud. -
Again, he's another athlete without much to show for it on the field. He had 15 TOTAL tackles in 10 games with 4 whole sacks. Amazing. I don't care what Baldinger has to say about three highlights he pulled from a game against Iowa. Of course they aren't showing the tape where he's getting cleared out by the OL or taking himself out of plays. That's an easy pass.
-
He's basically Yannick Ngakoue without the production. We don't need a 6'3" 250lb DE with 11.5 sacks in 3 years. It would be a waste of a 1st round pick. Let someone else make that mistake. He's not Micah Parsons 2.0 like they're making him out to be.

KC has Chris Jones to re-sign, Trey Smith on deck, Nick Bolton one deck, Creed Humphrey on deck, and Harrison Butker on deck, They have a lot of $$$ they are about to have to spread around. I can't see them Paying $20M+ to a WR and giving up multiple high end draft picks.

Purdy is the fluke in all of this. They had Jimmy G prior to, but he was on a middle of the road QB contract. Reason being, Shanahan's offense can almost be run by a chimp in pads. Ok not literally a chimp, but you get what I am saying. He knows how to coach up QB's and get the most out of them. Tua is in the same system with McDaniel as Purdy with Shanahan. Miami is about to find themselves in a more tight cap situation as well when they pay middle of the road Tua top QB $$$. They also have Waddle coming up soon, and possibly Jaelen Phillips. No, Allen is not on a rookie contract anymore. In all fairness though, this season is where his new $$$ is finally ballooning for the first time. They had opportunities to do more for Allen, but they have not. Part of it is because Allen himself makes everyone else around him better than what they actually are, outside of Diggs who was good before he got here. Part of that is they were banking on Gabe's development. Then the rest of it is they spent resources elsewhere and hoped to get lucky while bargain hunting. It hasn't worked out. He has not had the same talent around him as the other top offenses in this league. Whatever the reasoning may be or how people try to justify it, this is the case. For Allen's future cap figures, they will likely have to renegotiate a deal after this season tacking on more years and throwing in more guaranteed $$$. We know what we have so it's not a bad of a situation overall.
