Very true about Baltimore's backups. Their team is clearly on another level than Pittsburgh. On the Steelers QB situation though? Rudolph has looked like the best of the three they have started. He and Pickens also seem to have great chemistry at the moment. In the last two games Pickens has 11 catches for 236yds and 2 TD's. That's 12 yards short of what he had the 5 games prior to combined. All that said, I still expect Baltimore to win an ugly, 17-16 type of game.

First off, I hope (just like everyone else) we beat the brakes off of Miami Sunday night to secure the #2 seed. But, if we do not, then maybe, just maybe, the Steelers do what the Bills did all those years ago and lose to a team's 2nd/3rd string to cost themselves a chance at the Playoffs. We shall see.

You gotta be smarter than this. But he is one of the worst owners ers in the league.

*TNF * New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns - 8:15 Prime Video
H2o replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets made a splash move, what looked like a swing for the fences, but the house of cards crumbled quickly (at least for this season). They were the talk of the off-season. They were primed for a SB run, according to the sports media bobbleheads. Honestly, nothing about what they've done or "built" seems that impressive to me. Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner were really good draft picks who looked promising. They have talent all over the place on defense. Then they went out and got a couple of Rodgers' guys too. But the OL? The OL was always gonna be a problem. Becton can't stay healthy, at all. The interior was always suspect outside of Vera-Tucker. They sign Dalvin Cook, who was coming off of a 1,400 total yd and 10 total TD season, and then NEVER used him. The coaching has been terrible. Hackett has no business near a clipboard. Saleh comes off as arrogant imo. To me, it seems like he's nothing more than some rah-rah type who wants to be buddies with all of his players. Being liked by the players is fine, but you still have to be the disciplinarian and the leader of those men. I don't see it with him. The Jets will ride this Rodgers train until it jumps the tracks, even though they really should clean house in the FO and with the coaching staff. Douglas and the rest, but they won't. -
But not because of Russ
-
Russ threw the pick on the goal line. It was a stupid pass. Stevie Wonder could see that.
-
Russ blew that 2nd one. The defense won the first. He was just a game manager.
-
I have watched plenty of Russ over the years. Plenty. I'm saying look at him with Pete, without Pete, and the same with Geno.
-
You may be right. It is kind of weird situation to gauge imo. Some guys have been relatively successful in our system, then when they got paid and went elsewhere did nothing for the most part. Even still, all it takes is one team/GM to say, "he's our guy." We shall see I guess.
-
Let me try kindergarten terms for you. Russ with Pete, good. Russ without Pete, bad. Geno without Pete, bad. For 8 years he was bad. As soon as Geno with Pete, good. And that's EXACTLY what I'm saying. Pete Carroll made Russell Wilson look better than what he actually was. Just like Pete took a JAG and made him one of the top QB's in the NFC last year.
-
If you were following the rest of what we're talking about, then the comprehension part might be there for you
-
And what did Geno do last year after doing absolutely NOTHING for an entire 8 year career? 69.8% completion rate, almost 4,300 yds, and 30 TD's. Sorry. No, I will not give Russ more credit.

Does the Bills Fan Base Need to Cut Miller Some Slack?
H2o replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is this going to turn into the argument like we once had over Jadeveon Clowney a few years ago? In Clowney's case people were arguing about pressures and how he affected the game, even though he never showed up on the stat sheet (especially sack wise). Just like Jerry Hughes too, always being around the QB and never finishing the play. Excuses, and more excuses. Von has looked better the last couple of weeks, but no one needs to "cut him some slack" for anything. I've watched him run himself out of plays and be basically ineffective quite a bit. It is what it is. And unless he ends up suspended, we're stuck with him next year as well. -
-
I think Pete Carroll was an absolute genius who was able to mask Russ' deficiencies over the years while in Seattle and then "sold high" while he could. Look at what Carroll turned Geno into after being a career JAG.
-
1. Christian McCaffrey 2. Lamar Jackson 3. Tyreek Hill 4. Josh Allen 5. Brock Purdy
-
I actually think Epenesa will end up somewhere on a 1 year, prove-it type deal with another team next year. I expect that to be somewhere in the $8M-$10M range. I don't think any GM is going to hand out a bunch of gtd $$$ to a guy who hasn't consistently produced. If he shows out next year with more reps elsewhere, then he'll cash in for real.
-
This is one of those deals where the stats don't tell the whole story. Russ is a vet. He should be able to pick up on things fairly quick at this point as there isn't much he has not seen. He's having a problem running Sean Payton's offense the way Sean wants it run. He also misses wide open WR's on the field an awful lot, and has since he arrived in Denver. Can't tell you how many times he's had guys wide open for what would have been drive extending plays, chunk plays, or TD's and he just doesn't see them. He's also holding onto the ball, A LOT, and it's led to him being sacked 3 times a game on average. This doesn't count how many other pressures or hits he takes because he's back there looking clueless at times.
-
Wilson to NY straight up for Daniel Jones
-
I don't. It's all about the #1 seed for them. They'll be up for next week against the Phins.

The hits keep coming. First Purdy's MVP chances go down like the Titanic and now they lose their All-Pro LT.
