Bills sign DL Michael Hoecht on a 3-year deal worth a max value of $24M

A 267lb DT? -
Washington definitely needed OL help.

Looks like Dyami Brown just got $10M from Jax, and it's worth up to $12M. That $12M is basically what we just gave Palmer.

That is BIG $$$ for Sweat. A guy I think would fit in well here as a depth piece, and not have a huge $$$ tag, is Darrell Taylor. He had 9.5 sacks for Seattle one year and is only about to be 28. He would essentially replace Smoot.

It won't happen here. No Safety will sniff $15M per season on this team.

To the Steelers

Nothing the Pats have done make me nervous. I think meathead was a good hire, but Landry doesn't move the needle. That team needs a lot of work and luck in the draft.

I think he fits into a Sean McVay offense well. You also factor in 10 games on the west coast, which is where he wanted to be. Makes sense for him. And he got one more payday.

Browns ink Myles Garrett to an Extension
H2o replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
All of the talk about being disgruntled, never going to play for the Browns again, and him wanting to win was 💩 It was all about $$$. Enjoy the factory of sadness, Myles. -
From sources deep within.... IYKYK

Thanks for the good games prior to the ACL tear. Call it a career, bro. You're washed up.

I know. I keep checking in every time the thread gets bumped, only to find myself disappointed again.

Oh, young man, your reading comprehension seems to be lacking. I truly don't care what he's done, but it DOES make him look childish. It also makes anyone else who does the same look childish as well. If he re-signs, he re-signs. If he doesn't, he doesn't. If he gets traded, he gets traded. If he leaves in FA next year, he leaves in FA next year. I did not claim my belief is gospel either, I said it was my belief. You young whippersnappers don't have to see it my way and I am good with that. I can take my belief all the way with me to get my Senior breakfast at Denny's in the morning.

Yeah, I'm not saying he isn't a good player. He is. I'm not saying he isn't worth a 2nd contract. He is. The perceived value is debatable, but he will get a good 2nd contract from someone. The issue I see with it is the way he's going about it. It truly does make him look like a child. Demand something, take everything down on your SM that has you in their apparel, and references them until you get what you want. Yeah, that'll show them!!! To me, it screams diva. We just got rid of one of those. Yes the Stef situation was different, but he was a diva none the less. A me first guy. And before anyone says he's risking injury with no guarantees, he's guaranteed $5.2M this year and is free to take out an insurance policy on himself for injury. He's also risked injury playing this game since he was a child. The Bernard contract was alright. He's a solid player. I liked the Shakir signing. I liked the Groot contract. When you factor in their pay for this year, the averages are all below what many people had said they would be. All three of them just show up to work and let the rest work itself out. I feel Cook would have been better served to do the same. I do believe it makes a difference with perception from within the organization, but that doesn't mean I'm correct in my belief. We'll see how it plays out.

I think he would have liked to remain healthy the entire time -
Ravens Re-Sign Top FA OT Ronnie Stanley

It's a good deal for the Ravens as well. I know Stanley has had injury issues, but he's still a good player. -
I'm not triggered at all. Sign him to an extension, trade him, let him play out the year on his current deal then walk, I don't care. He's a good player. Not $15M a year good imo. But hey, it is what it is. It IS quite childlike to take down anything involving your current employer, and thinking it somehow helps your case in what you're looking for though. The oppressed RB making $5.2M. Terrible. The whole point is these other guys who just got signed to extensions, we never heard a word or saw anything like this out of them.
