We're building the offense around the passing attack
H2o replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The offense is being built to be a complete unit where we have options. They will not be strictly a passing team or strictly a running team. They are being built for balance. We have the makings of a MUCH IMPROVED offensive line. We have a deep RB group. We have a couple homerun threats in Foster and John Brown. We have guys with short area quickness in Beasley, Brown, and Foster. The TE group is largely a question mark, but we have athletic TE's and blocking TE's. They want to be able to go into games with the ability to keep a team off balance and impose their will. Their success still hinges on Allen, but he is definitely being put in a better position to succeed this year. -
I would hate the Pats just a bit more if they do this. I don't see us making a move for Rudolph though.

Good. Love when a first rounder's deal gets done quickly.

Beane: Gore will push McCoy to be the starter
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You could see McCoy clearly still had his burst when he had lanes last year. The problem is he had no lanes, especially on the interior. McCoy is 30 and Gore is 35. Yes, I expect McCoy to easily beat out Gore for the starting role. But just like every other position on the team, it is always an open competition. I can't explain the misuse of Kenyan Drake in MIA. You'll have to ask googly eyes about that one. -
Beane: Gore will push McCoy to be the starter

Gore is just not the player he was. Can he still be effective in a spot role? Sure, but he's not going to beat Shady out as the starter. Shady is going to bounce back behind a much improved OL. The guy to watch is Singletary. I think he is going to push Gore for the backup spot. -
Meh, this doesn't bother me at all. I think we'll be just fine.

My Bold Predictions: 1. Bills finish no worse than 2nd in the AFCE at 11-5 getting at least a WC birth. 2. Shady has a bounce-back year tallying over 1,000 yards rushing and 1,500+ yards from scrimmage. 3. Josh Allen will complete at least 65% of his passes. 4. Tampa wins 10 with Arians running the show and Winston looks like a #1 overall pick. 5. Pittsburgh goes 5-11 and Mike Tomlin gets fired. 6. The NY Giants will conjure memories of the old Lions teams riding Saquon like Barry Sanders scratching at a WC birth. 7. Dwayne Haskins wins the job in TC/Preseason ove Keenum and wins the OROY while leading the Redskins to the NFCE title. 8. The Cowboys take a step back and Jason Garrett finally gets fired. 9. The Oakland Raiders will bench Derek Carr by week 6 and end up with the worst record in the NFL. 10. The NFCW will be the worst division in football with the winner holding an 8-8 record. 11. Cleveland will run away with the AFCN having the division won with 3 weeks left to play. 12. Baltimore's defense will finish in the 20's this year while people expose Jackson just like Kaepernick and Tyrod. They will be bottom feeding with Pittsburgh. 13. Deshaun Watson gets injured early and misses most of the season. 14. Nick Foles becomes the Nick Foles of LA/St. Louis again and Marrone/Coughlin get canned. 15. Marlon Mack will lead the NFL in rushing.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Richie Incognito working out for Raiders (update: Signed)

He and Brown can trade medication -
Aaaaaaand 0 's were actually given about roto's UDFA rankings.

There are a lot of contributing factors here. Distance to first down, the WR running the routes, the QB throwing the ball, and the defensive formation. I can see where the Post and Corner routes would be more successful as it puts more pressure on the Safeties, CB's, and LB's possibly dropping into Zone coverages.

7 picks between rounds 6 & 7 is very underwhelming. Having 5 picks in the first three rounds though can be used for something. Like I said in another thread, until the Pats picks start amounting to an actual foundation and quit being turnstiles I'm not too worried about them once Brady is gone. They haven't been that impressive even with tons of picks over the last few years.

Penalties are becoming a problem again
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you look at the overall totals, we were penalized double the amount on the road than we were at home. The Jacksonville game also has to be taken into account because that was just a brawl. The Minnesota, Houston, Jacksonville, and first Miami game accounted for 50 of our total 116 penalties. That's almost half of the total in a quarter of the season. We were one Charles Clay drop and a Josh Allen injury away from being 4-0 in those games as Nate "Petermanned" the game in Houston. With that being said I agree with Gunner's take as well. -

MMQB Draft winners and losers: Bills are... both?
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll believe the Pats' players are good when I see it on the field. Outside of Michel, a couple OL players, and an occasional defensive player they refuse to pay once they hit FA they really haven't drafted that well in recent years. They have Tom Brady and make solid moves bringing in FA. -
The only way we're picking 5th in the draft next year is if we trade up and it sure as hell isn't gonna be for a WR named Laviska whatever.

RD 5, Pick 147: LB Vosean Joseph, University of Florida
H2o replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spikes was slow as molasses. Ran like a 4.9 forty. Vosean can run. Spikes was also about 30lbs heavier. Not even close to being a valid comparison.
