Jimmy G was hot coming in for San Fran. Won 6 games in a row to close out the season if I recall correctly. Once he gets the feel for the speed of the game back he'll be fine.

What do you do if you are Cowboys GM?
H2o replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have to re-sign Dak, Amari Cooper, and Jaylon Smith by next offseason. They only have one Franchise tag to use. They have to get at least two of the three signed if they want to keep all 3. Zeke is under contract for two more years. That's the business. I know he feels he's outplayed his deal, but so has Barkley and Kamara. If someone throws you a good trade package then you take it and let them pay out the bum for the guy. -
Foster isn't going anywhere, except on IR now possibly. Hopefully it's not a Jones fracture.

Seahawks rookie D.K. Metcalf to have knee surgery
H2o replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or he could just go the Brian Cushing route and take his chances. -
It will definitely be encouraging if the first team offense and defense puts up another performance like last week. I still don't put much stock in the preseason. I want to see how our OL looks against that Jets defensive front Week 1. Quinnen Williams was mauling Atlanta OL'man this past week. Hopefully Morse is back and doesn't take any head shots.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
H2o replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I hope he sticks around as well because the guy has a lot of talent. I think our staff could get him up to speed mentally if they just give him a year to develop. We shall see what happens. -

Who could we realistically trade Zay or Shady for?
H2o replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't trade either. Shady is in the last year of his deal, wants to be here, and imo can still be effective. Our RB depth hasn't been this good in a long time. Injuries happen. Last year Zay took an obvious step forward. He's young, cheap, and has some talent. Keep him as well. -
I too am optimistic. I have had a feeling this team would be special stirring for a while, going back to the beginning of FA. After 20 years I do believe our team is ready to make some noise. We will have balance and the defense is going to be more effective getting pressure on the QB which in turn will lead to more turnovers. The only thing that worries me right now is the depth at LB. Other than that I feel this is the best overall team we have fielded since the late 90's.

Antonio Brown Tells Raiders without his helmet no football
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am so, SO glad we avoided this Ringling Bros. spinoff, the NFL version. AB is a complete whack job. They can put his name and number on the back of a staight jacket. It will blend in just fine with the home whites. -
I literally just spit tea out onto the dining room table laughing when I read this.

Florio, is that you?

Odds of both Daboll and Frazier being back next year
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd trade off an OC for a Lombardi, just saying. -
Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about. https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/tremaine-edmunds-made-quite-impression-panthers-coach-ron-rivera “I think he’s got a really good position coach in Bob Babich, Sr.,” Rivera said of the Bills linebackers’ coach. “I was with Bob when we were in Chicago and we had Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs, and Bob told me, ‘this guy is a combination of both of them,’ and that’s kind of cool to hear.”

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/08/15/panthers-impressed-by-tremaine-edmunds-in-joint-practices/ “It was kind of neat first-hand to watch him,” Edmunds said, via WGR550.com. “We ran a screen against them. It looked like it was going to pick up some pretty good yardage, and he was able to break through and run it down and keep it about four yards. I think the young man is on his way to being one of those types of players that can be with a team for 10-12 years and be an impact guy for a long time.”

What if Josh Allen threw 5 straight int in practice
H2o replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of the Allen detractors would be like: "I told you he sucked, I told, I told you, QB!!!" -
That's the infield single Kelly the Dog was talking about.

Ed: Damn you got some f****d up hair dawg.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit amped right now. If we get a motivated and healthy Clowney then this defense is gonna be SICK!!!

I hope his first carry ends with Oliver's first bone-crunching, regular season tackle.

I do my friend and it is how I live my life every day. I also understand the need for change in many areas of life in this world. That change begins with each individual making the smallest of efforts to make a difference. For instance, there was an older lady in front of me at a Walmart one day. She had picked up some groceries and a few general household items. When it came time to pay she tried to use a check. She said her bank card recently had to be cancelled due to some fraudulent activities picked up by her bank. They gave her basically some starter checks to make it until her new card arrived. The system would not accept the check. She started to get a bit frazzled because she didn't know how she was going to make it for a week without one as she had no cash and wouldn't be able to go into the bank for another two days. I could tell she was being sincere. I walked up to where she was, smiled, put my card in the machine, and paid for her items. The cashier smiled saying how nice it was for me to do that and the lady was more than grateful calling me an angel. I don't tell this story because I want a pat on the back or any kind of recognition. I tell it because things like this have an impact on everyone involved. This older lady and cashier will remember the middle aged, shaven bald, white guy who went out of his way to be a blessing to someone else. It has an impact upon me because I know I am helping people to keep faith in humanity, that not everyone is the same despite how they may be stereotyped. I raise my children the same way and they get it too. Me personally, I feel if everyone did things like this not only would the world be a better place, but the impact would be broader than that of any rally that could potentially turn into a riot for whatever reason. Making small differences changes the big picture.
