Because people love to turn anything and everything into re-hashed arguments about us passing on Mahomes. The horse has been beaten to death already, resurrected, and beaten to death again only about a billion times on this board. It takes away from the overall outlook of how it seems the Bills have positioned themselves for EACH draft and focuses on one single pick out of the numerous that have been made. Making it about a dead argument versus the broader spectrum he was getting at is indeed hijacking a thread, despite the mention he made of us passing on a single QB (or two as some guys were really in on Watson as well, with the main one people piss and moan over being Mahomes).

I too think they are going to carry 7 WR's. Nice work Bandit.

Bills Security Blanket at Back Up QB Position !!

Definitely not trading Barkley. I think he is more of an asset to this team than just your average backup QB. -

Yes, yes indeed. I think your better served place may be in PPP.

He transferred to VT to be closer to his mother who had surgery for a brain tumor. Upon filling for a waiver to be eligible to play he was denied. He then filed an appeal that was also just recently denied. The NCAA said it was due to his mother returning to work after she had the surgery. WTF?

It's talking about the team needs and the strength of each draft for that year. There is no elephant in the room. Only an element in the room.

Ahhhh, the good ole thread hijacking. I suggest you go join Jeffismagic/Zero(whatever) over on the Chiefs' message board.

Drafting is good, and I hope they continue to do an excellent job as they have up until now, but I think we may be a bit active in the FA market for DE in 2020. I know they will do an extensive scouting of the position. Guys like Clowney, Yannick Ngakoue, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Dante Fowler could all be out there. I'd LOVE to land Ngakoue for this defense if at all possible.

ESPN Existentially Slobbing Patriots' Nuts

Yeah, I got nothing.

Just depends on what kind of pills they slip him at halftime.

Definitely the Jags. Luck retiring, the OL still a question in Houston as well as RB depth now, and shedding the dead weight of Blake Bortles. Foles seemed to be a guy that the team rallied around in Philly. If he brings that same vibe to Jax then they will win the AFC South again.

I mean when your team is good, and putting up these huge numbers, the skill players on the front lines of that will get more of the recognition. It's hard not to give all of the accolades to Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill. In that perception the job being done by some others might get overlooked a bit. Maybe I chose the wrong word to convey my thought, but that was the intent.

The Chiefs have a lot more "perceived" talent on that team and he only played in 11 games last year. If he comes here and right's the ship with this OL, being the state it was in last year, I believe he does get that recognition.

Is there anything more tedious than Fantasy Football talk?
H2o replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of $$$ changes hands in Fantasy Sport, with football being the largest of them. People who are into it seriously on a financial level are always dialed into things like that looking for the perceived edge going into the weekend. I play, but I don't play for money. I have to shell out enough of that on my own without tossing it away trying to guess which Flex-RB is going to put my team over the top that week. -
I can think of a few guys who might make the list: 1. Matt Milano -I think Milano has the best chance, imo, as he is probably the most instinctive player on the front 7 and he's always around the ball making plays. 2. Tremaine Edmunds - If he is really getting the game mentally then it is going to be fun to watch him play this year. The athletic ability was already there. 3. Levi Wallace - If he puts together an entire season like he did in the handful of starts he did last year then I think he gains some notoriety. 4. Micah Hyde - If he's back there ball hawking and flying around like a couple of years ago then there aren't many better. 5. Josh Allen - If Allen throws for 3500-4000 yards and 25-30 TD's and rushes for another 600 yards with 7-10 TD's then he will be in the convo. 6. Mitch Morse - If the guy can stay healthy through the year and the team is successful I believe he gets recognition as the key OL addition.

Is anybody else having anxiety about game one?
H2o replied to billsredneck1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets' defense makes me a bit nervous about week 1. You also don't know what you're gonna get coming out the gate. I hope the OL protects Allen and the defense can stop the run. Those two things happen and we should be looking at a W. -
Apparently the Eagles have $24mill in cap room right now according to Sptrac if I am reading it correctly. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/
