I understand people talking about how much $$$ he is getting(even though we don't know the exact figures yet), but he is easily a top 3 and elite RB in this league. A true workhorse who does it all. Those are the kind of guys that command more. That's just the facts. McCaffrey is going to get paid top dollar too you can bet. Saquon will top them all when it's his turn.

Cooper and Byron Jones will be the odd men out if Dak takes his $30,000,000 per year and calls it a day. If not, then Dak might be the odd man out while the other two get paid to stick around. Either way, this puts JJ one step closer to being able to use the Franchise Tag to keep it all together for at least one more year after this one.

It's always nice to get off to a good start. It's also nice to add to a division opponent's possible hole by handing them an L week 1. If the Jets lose this game then they could start out 0-7 as I said in a different thread. They have a tough stretch right out of the gate. It wouldn't be the end of the world IF we lost, but Lord knows I hope we get a convincing W.

I think Treadwell still has a chance. He fell out of favor in Minnesota and they have two top tier WR's as well as one of the better TE's in the league. The talent was evident at Ole Miss, but is the mindset and work ethic for the NFL there? Hopefully he makes the most of his next opportunity.

I think this is the plan unless injuries happen. Then they'll either pull up someone from the PS or sign someone off the street.

An elite RB has been hard to find. Most teams just get RB's that 1) Fit their system and 2) Do at least a couple of things well enough to be effective. It would be nice to have Barkley, Elliott, or McCaffrey, but you can be successful without those types as long as the committee you roll with compliment each other well. I think Singletary can be effective and put up numbers. At the same time he had a ton of touches in college. Let's hope he can give us sustained production for about 4-6 years. I also think our guys we have as a whole can fill their role well. We'll see how it plays out here and for Shady in KC also.

Dang, we missed out on the next Peterman.

I got Singletary. He's younger, quicker, and I think he will be used more in the passing game. I think Gore will lead the RB's in rushing though.

I think our backfield will be a 3 headed monster with Shady, Gore, and Singletary. They will ride the hot hand from game to game.

Despite the meaninglessness of a record in the preseason, it was still really cool to see how the guys fought back in that last game to pull out the W.
