  1. And that's the thing, no one said he was low end. He was a viable NFL starter. That's what I see Darnold's ceiling as.
  2. But what is he remembered for? Choking in big games maybe? Underachieving when it mattered most? Never being able to quite get over the hump while being on some pretty good teams? I didn't say their numbers would be absolutely identical either, but that is who Sam reminds me of. Is that too hard to comprehend?
  3. This game came to mind, but he had one less INT and still threw for over 200 yards. https://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2007121610/2007/REG15/eagles@cowboys And then there was this gem Romo was putting together before he got pulled against the Panthers the year they, the Panthers, ended up in the SB https://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2015112601/2015/REG12/panthers@cowboys Yes, yes they have. This all originated from my comparison of Darnold to Romo. That is EXACTLY who I see when I watch him play. Romo had a decent career and I expect Darnold to have a decent career, but watching Darnold play is like watching #9 in a Cowboys' jersey all over again.
  4. Can't imagine why he needed help finding a "love connection"
  5. I agree. There's something sketchy about all of this, kinda like some on the dl Asian massage parlor hand j*b.
  6. Maybe he and McDaniels go replace Kitchens and Mayfield in Cleveland?
  7. Good luck with that ......
  8. Do I sense...... Joe, you know you could give two about Scott's feelings.
  9. Not me. My track record about PFF is as consistent as they come. A bunch of dorks making YouTube videos in their mom's basement who all have "online girlfriends"
  10. The Pats expect to be picking 32nd so really it is almost a 3rd Round pick. Either way, they just effed up the market for anyone looking to trade for a WR. BB does it again.
  11. Oh contraire mon frere, Romo had some 5 INT games before. Multiple times. https://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/shutdown-corner/tony-romo-matches-career-worst-game-five-interceptions-035054191--nfl.html
  12. We all know the hit was Josh's fault because the media said so.
  13. THAT was the Darnold I remembered from USC, especially his Junior year. While all the pundits were acting like he was the greatest QB to enter the league since Peyton Manning, I saw a Tony Romo type of QB and ceiling. Romo was my comparison when we were heading towards the draft in 2018. That's not saying he won't be any good because Tony had a pretty good career, but last night he looked exactly like bad Romo. The pressure rattles him and he makes those wild throws under duress leading to turnovers.
  14. Whom is this Tribisky you speak of?
  15. When my kids used to bang the table and throw tantrums I would bang the table screaming like them. They would always end up looking at me like I was crazy then I would start laughing.
  16. See, this is why you need a water bottle in reserve at all times. As soon as he looked like he was about to spit you let that go like a Randy Johnson fastball.
  17. I watched guys on our DL get tackled at least twice while they were on their way into the backfield, three blatant holding calls not called on big Mark Walton runs, and some bs being called on us numerous times when we had made a positive play for a first down, especially on their side of the field. It was probably the worst officiated game I've seen us be a part of in 2019. We got the W and that is all that matters. Make note of that crew though. I hope we don't see them again, especially as the games grow more and more important down the line.
  18. Does this mean we'll make the playoffs, McDermott will name Barkley the starter, and we will suffer a painful defeat in some manner that will earn it's own nickname?
  19. No, I thought I had read it on here somewhere about him moping around at TC and whatnot which seemed to reflect on his playing time. Maybe it was in the Astro Notes segments? I can't remember. You two, you and Joe, are probably correct. I hope he can get healthy and get out there. Speed kills in this league, look at Hardman and Hill together. I think it would open up the entire field even more with two guys who can take the top off of the defense on the field at the same time.
  20. Remember when they were putting Shurmur's name out there as a COY candidate after week 4 when the Giants had won two in a row against the Buc/Skins getting to 2-2?
  21. Yes, but I thought people were saying he had fallen into the dog house before the injury?
  22. I'd say this is about what I think as well. Sometimes I just think to myself, or may yell out loud watching the game, "wtf kind of playcall is that?!?!?!" The whole first half of the Pats game I was thinking to myself wtf. I wish they would utilize the screen game a bit more with say McKenzie or Singletary (I know yesterday was his first game back in some weeks) or even Foster. Hell, I wish they would use Foster at all. I was hype to see what he would do this year after the way he finished last season out. Sometimes I don't feel like Daboll is playing to Josh's strengths in certain situations, but then again I think Josh just may not be executing according to the game plan. I don't know. It's pretty incomplete right now.
