  1. Year one? Seeing what we had, sign a couple of FA's, removing those who didn't want to be here, and still made the playoffs. Year two? Cap strapped because of ridding ourselves of the dead weight, go get the QB of the offense, the QB of the defense, Richie blows a gasket, Wood has to retire because of a neck issue, and we are basically all in on the rebuild. Year 3? We had to fix the OL, we upgraded the WR corps, we drafted players (some of whom are making an impact already), and are basically in the 2nd year of the rebuild. This team is pretty young, they are growing together, and we are still 6-3 in spite of Daboll's play calling. Some rebuilds aren't instant gratification like that of your microwavable Hot Pocket.
  2. Irv Smith and Thielen when healthy as well.
  3. Thank you for owning this one Stephen. We appreciate that.
  4. Well, you know they will still be posting. Everyone who thinks the season is over that is.
  5. You know how you know Lee Smith is on the field? He's getting penalized for something.
  6. Ahhhhhhh, TSW after a loss.
  7. No, the guy is like a virus.
  8. Not since we traded Zay Jones
  9. Not saying the Browns are a juggernaut by any means, but they did already beat Baltimore and their schedule is favorable over the rest of the season. If they can beat the Steelers twice, win the other games on their schedule, and their only loss be to the Ravens down the stretch then they hold the tie breaker over us at 9-7 with the head-to-head victory. I do think it is possible for them to do this even still. That's why I said 10-6 is what we need to get in.
  10. This is the remaining schedule. For all the talk of our schedule being a "cakewalk" things have surely begun to look different the last couple of weeks or so. The Dolphins are riding a two game win streak, the Broncos have played some teams tough the last few weeks, the Steelers are making a move in the AFC North, and you never know which Jets team is going to show up. To make the playoffs I believe we will have to go 4-3 the rest of the way at worst. It will take 10-6 to get into the playoffs. Right now we still sit in that 5th spot, but things are getting more jumbled by the week. The Steelers, Raiders, and Colts are all 5-4 with Tennessee (after their big win against the Chiefs yesterday) sitting at 5-5. The Steelers defense is really starting to gel, the Raiders and Derek Carr are playing some of their best football, Tennessee with Ryan Tannehill at the helm is looking like a different team, the Colts have proven they can hang with anyone as long as Brissett is under Center, the Jaguars are about to get Foles back with their record at 4-5, you still can't count out Cleveland at 3-6 just yet, and the Chargers are still possible of a run while at 4-6. The Wild Card race is going to be a marathon until week 17. When it's all said and done I think we get 3 wins in the next 6 games. This is not me saying we can't get more than that by any means because we could actually start playing some complete football ourselves at some point. I would like to believe that we get the next two to be at 8-3 going into Dallas on Thanksgiving. You never know with Daboll calling the plays though (I hate that guy. Not personally, but as an OC I think he's horrible.) as he is constantly making us all go "wtf". If we do somehow pull off a Thanksgiving Day miracle we may still win 11 or 12, but Daboll is the reason I am thinking we likely only win 3 out of the next 6. The 3rd will come somewhere from Dallas, Baltimore, or Pittsburgh. I think we lose to the Pats in NE. So hypothetically at 9-6, going into the last week of the season, the Jets and Gase will have a chance to be our stepping stone into the playoffs or they will be the nail in our coffin. Hopefully this isn't a 2004 type of let down. Not the same circumstances of course, but it could be the same level of disappointment.
  11. He told himself Daboll was excellent at calling plays too
  12. Wallace is getting beaten consistently. Not deep, but he is definitely giving up the most receptions out of the defenders on this team. They need to give Kevin Johnson his turn.
  13. Daboll is an idiot. He calls a terrible game week in and week out. He IS holding this team back. The idiot kicker also didn't do us any favors today, but Daboll has got to go. McDermott won't do it though.
  14. The guy isn't a superstar or anything. If he was he would have been on another roster. If he's active he gets 0-9 snaps. He's a rotational DT and will be another part of the rotation as he gets more acclimated. I wouldn't expect an impact today really.
  15. Bottom line is, despite how any of you are trying to spin it, he is improving as a passer. His completion percentage is up almost 10 pts from last year. He's hitting on the intermediate throws consistently. He's more poised in the pocket, not taking off to run unless it actually is breaking down for the most part. Last year he would take off before it broke down, a lot. His footwork is getting better. He is throwing some absolute dimes out there at times. You can see that the game is starting to slow down a bit for him. What most of the detractors are basing their opinions upon is the fact he is not putting up gaudy numbers. I think you can thank Daboll for that in a lot of instances. Gugny had a spot on post about Daboll and his play calling the other day. He's not calling plays that keep Allen in a rythm a lot of times, A LOT of times. Josh is the highest rated 4th qtr QB in the NFL right now. Could he be doing that if he wasn't improved as a passer? I think not. Put your hatred aside, let go of the Mahomes/Watson Kleenex, and admit the truth.

  17. I was just about to say something about this as well HBF. On a side note, "Billl" just started his account yesterday. The same day this thread was started. Pretty coincidental you think? Yeah, not really. An already member trolling twice as hard in the same thread under two separate names. I have a pretty good idea whom it might be.
  18. Dez was done his last year in Dallas and that was before the achilles injury. At this point I would rather just roll with the guys we have on the roster now.
  19. I don't think you need it to be a public poll my friend. It's pretty easy by the posts in this thread to count the "no's" And a couple of those drops turned into INT's on the ricochet.
