  1. Sunday around 4:00-4:30pm (since my gif wouldn't work)...
  2. I think he'll still be out for another couple of weeks to be honest. I think he's back for the Pats* game.
  3. I'm talking about even if he had the option.
  4. I don't believe at any point McDermott would even entertain the thought. He loves this city, he loves this team, he loves the players, he loves the guys he works with, and all he does is talk about how special it is what they are building here.
  5. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/12/04/bill-obrien-don-martindale-are-the-pftpm-week-13-coaches-of-the-week/ Florio picks Bill O'Brien of course(still giving McDermott props), but they go on about McD in the early part of the segment.
  6. Burrow is at 78.3% completion percentage right now which is absolutely unheard of, especially against the level of opponents he has faced all year long. Insane. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/gamelog/_/id/3915511/joe-burrow
  7. I'd bet the house that Shurmur is done in NY. He's 7-21 as Giants HC the last two seasons. That's absolutely putrid. I don't think the Giants brass waits another year to see if he can right the ship. I don't know if Day jumps to the NFL either, but I expect the Skins to make an attempt because of his ties to Haskins, the same reason I could see them attempting to go after Meyer. There was a story at the beginning of October saying that Brian Kelly was on a few NFL teams' radar as far as their HC positions, noting that those same teams feel he is very underrated as a HC. The Redskins were mentioned as one of those teams. Urban Meyer would be an interesting hire wherever he went, but I don't know if him and a meddling Jerry Jones could coexist in Dallas. I really think that guys who will be getting HC jobs in 2020 are Roman, Richard, Saleh, and Schottenheimer. Harbaugh is bound to try the NFL again at some point after his failures at Michigan. Not sure if it will really be his own decision, but he will make it look like it was his choice. Carolina would be quite an interesting destination for him though as you stated. All he would be looking for was his type of QB and to reshape the defense. They have a bunch of weapons on offense already.
  8. I'd move the NY Giants to "Almost certain vacancies" as Shurmur is done and Dallas to possible if they don't make the playoffs and win at least a game, if not two. I expect Robert Saleh from SF to get a lot of looks. I'd also expect Kris Richard from Dallas to get many interviews. Brian Schottenheimer is another I could see getting some serious looks. Don't be surprised if the Skins go sniffing around the college ranks for a HC. I expect them to try to interview Brian Kelly, Ryan Day, possibly Urban Meyer, and maybe even throw a bone out to see if Lincoln Reilly would be interested (whom I also expect the Cowboys to go after if they let Garrett walk). Hell, after his 5 straight losses to Ohio St., I wouldn't be surprised if Harbaugh started interviewing for NFL jobs (even though he says he is staying in Ann Arbor). After this year in Baltimore I expect Roman to get some serious looks @ HC vacancies this offseason. I hope we are able to keep Daboll for at least one more year. Honestly, I think he may get an interview or two, but I can't see a FO being ready to hand him the reigns to a team just yet. There are guys out there with more proven track records @ the OC position than him.
  9. And we care about the opinion of the guy only known as "Derek Carr's brother" because???????
  10. We should save that for "Should Josh Allen be Benched?" and "Is Ed Oliver a Bust?". Kickers aren't worthy of polls.
  11. You knew this run would come to an end at some point. Rivera has done a decent job with the Panthers. In all honesty I expect him to take a year or two off before looking to get back into the coaching ranks.
  12. #9 on PFT's list this week https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/12/03/week-14-power-rankings-9/
  13. I just don't think he fits here. If he is targeted like a #1 then he puts up #1 WR type numbers, as he did in Buffalo when targeted as such and that was discussed many times over. He burned that bridge with McDermott quickly and I just can't see us bringing him back.
  14. Buffalo 31 Baltimore 27 Josh comes up clutch once again with a late 4th Qtr drive to win the game. Bills in the playoffs, home crowd goes banaynays.
  15. The Sporting News has us @ #10 https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/list/nfl-power-rankings-week-14-update/1kq8elruxy9chza5qdbl7bt4v/10 Side note: The PFF dorks probably still have us between 16-20
  16. Even with all of the running, Lamar has yet to take any really big hits this year. Let him take a couple of those in a game and it will slow him down. As good as he has been I still think if you force him into the throws outside of the numbers he doesn't have as much success. He loves to throw the ball over the middle of the field when in the pocket and a lot of his completions come from where he breaks contain to extend plays. Keep him in the pocket and close off the middle of the field as much as possible.
  17. Hopefully it ends just like the year after Don Mattingly retired from the Yankees. That ended in a championship.
  18. I want Hughes and Lawson on the field all game tbh, but Lorax is going to be a liability due to his limited athleticism imo more so than Coleman or Neal would be, against the run and trying to cover TE's. He just can't run with these guys. But if he were to make the correct read on every play, which is highly unlikely, then he could be a thumper against the run. The other guys just have more speed and overall athleticism that is going to be needed this week trying to keep up with these TE's and Ravens' ground game. Like I said, this is what I would do and not necessarily what the team is going to do.
  19. And now that I have watched Josh connect on a few of these, along with the steady improvement in the rest of his game, I couldn't be happier. It is funny to watch people get all bent out of shape about what they previously posted though.
  20. I love how people are finding these old threads and giving them a bump back to relevance. Pretty entertaining.
  21. Throw in JJ Watt who only had 5.5 sacks total as a rookie.
  22. Lorax is not going to get it done in this situation, trying to contain Jackson or covering a TE. We will need to swap out a S in his spot this week. It was mentioned in another thread by @plenzmd1 if I am not mistaken and after considering it with the scheming options I believe it is the way to go.
