Just like the same narratives the Allen "critics" have which they hold to no matter how many comebacks he leads, clutch throws he makes, how much improvement he shows in his decision making with the football, or W's he leads the team to right?

He has been good for his team and I'm not saying he hasn't been. His 300 yard per game average is due to his legs though so don't get it twisted. Also, 324 of those passing yards and 5 of those passing TD's came week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. You can come back with the whole, "Well what did Josh do against the Dolphins?" argument, but it's clear to see over the last 4 weeks they have been getting progressively better. Lamar didn't singlehandedly beat the Pats either. Ingram had a good game as well as the defense against that Pats offense. I'm not saying he hasn't improved from last year and I'm not saying he isn't the best fit for his team, but I am also not getting the whole reason the media and various other people love to s*** him off like he is some amazing QB. He's not. He's an average at best QB who happens to be the best athlete at the position since Michael Vick. And if Josh were running for all of those yards and on as many plays as he does people would be screaming about that as well. They'd be moaning he runs too much, he's not a real QB, he's not the long term answer, blah, blah, blah. Winning doesn't matter around here unless your QB is throwing for 350 a game and 3 TD's. Haven't you figured that out yet?

Yes, but Lamar's been getting his RB on in that time so that makes him worthy of league MVP discussion.

Weird stuff happens when we play the Brownies

It will all hinge on whether we can stop the run. If we can hold Chubb and Hunt in check then we should be able to win the game. I do worry about Dawkins and Ford/Nsekhe facing Garrett though. Hopefully there is a gameplan in place that takes advantage of his aggressiveness. Slip screens, draw plays(with the RB's and not Josh), and some quick passes. Another thing I am hoping to see is someone light Landry's b**** a** UP out there on a crossing route or something. I could live with a 15 yarder as long as his dirty a** is leveled on Sunday. -
That's just the thing, he hasn't had a "poor" rookie season. They gave a guy who has turned into an animal this year the starting nod, rewarding him for his GREAT play on the field thus far. JJ Watt only had 4.5 sacks as a rookie. Arron Donald had 9 total, with 6 of those sacks coming after his 8th game in his rookie year. He has 2 less tackles and 2 less sacks than Donald had his rookie season through 8 games. He has 6 less tackles and the same amount of sacks JJ Watt had through his first 8 games. That's the definition of a bust? Has he REALLY had a "poor" season? So in turn, yes, the intelligence level of some people on this board is seemingly borderline disabled at times.

If Wisenhunt is calling the plays yesterday they lose that game. That new OC saw something on film and had a good gameplan ready against the Packers. Rivers and those guys executed to a T and had sustained drives that resulted in points 6 times. They kept the Packers off the field and that pass rush never allowed Rodgers to get into a rhythm. You can gameplan, but the guys still have to execute. That's what the Chargers did yesterday was execute.

I mean, technically, we do control our own destiny, but at the same time I think we can be realistic in recognizing we're not going to run the table. I love our team and how it's being built. I think we have our franchise QB. Our defense has shown some scary susceptibility to the run the last three weeks though and Levi has been getting burnt pretty regularly. They got it together in the 2nd half yesterday, but we have a lot of upper tier RB's remaining on our schedule. With Daboll calling the plays, having these "wtf" stretches in games, I don't see us being able to beat every team remaining on the schedule. I just don't. The defense is good, but can they continue to hold teams to 14-20 pts a game for 8 more weeks? I doubt it. There will probably be another couple performances where the offense needs to put up 30+ to win and I don't trust Daboll to call games where we do that, win a shootout so to speak.

The Browns are getting handled by a Broncos team with Brandon Allen playing QB. Wow.

I hope all of the national media, sportscasters, and tv personalities that were ball washing the Jets up until the season started are forced to walk around with cones of shame on their heads for increased visibility.

Can't wait to see Damien Woody throwing a hissy fit on Monday. Greenberg should be comedy gold as well

Anyone else getting concerned about our running game?

What? Singletary had his best game as a pro today against a team who had been playing solid defense the last couple of weeks holding SF and Minnesota mainly in check. -
Or trade all of your picks for a good coach.

As were the Dolphins when he was there. Peyton Manning made this guy rich af.
-
God I hope they do. At least waste one more year of Darnold, draft picks, Bell, and pour out misery upon the Jets.
