I don’t get the hate that Josh Allen gets around here.
H2o replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People hate Josh Allen because McDermott didn't draft Mahomes or Watson in 2017. He and then GM Doug Whaley traded back so at that slot we ended up selecting Tre White. People hate him because he is not either of those two. People hate Josh Allen because they feel he is too reckless at times. The hero ball, the picks, the fumbles, and having to run for his life on occasion instead of being able to make a miraculous throw every time a play breaks down. He cleaned up the picks in a big way after the NE game, still had the occasional fumble while on a designed run or running for his life, and pretty much cut down on the hero ball until he made some dumb decisions in the playoff game. People hate Josh because he still leaves some plays on the field. We can all admit we have seen Josh be inaccurate at times, whether it be on a deep pass, in the flats, or on an intermediate route. Sometimes it's due to pressure, sometimes his base isn't right, and sometimes it's just a bad throw. He also doesn't see the open man on occasion because he doesn't identify the defense correctly. He did however take a big step forward from year one to year two in these areas. People hate Josh because he's not Lamar Jackson and hasn't had the same success early on in his career as Jackson. This falls in line with the same as the Mahomes/Watson crowd. You know, the message board GM's who just know these QB's would be doing the same or even better here if the Bills had drafted them. Last year was the first year (being Allen's 2nd season) where he actually had some decent weapons on offense, but even with that you saw some of those weapons making key drops to stall drives and prevent points being put on the board be it 6 or just having a shot at 3. People hate Josh just because that's what people do. They'll find something negative to talk about even if he goes 20-20 for 299yds with 2 TD's in a W. "He didn't throw for 300", "If he throws the ball to so and so he has another TD", "He tucked the ball and ran when he didn't have to on this play", they'll never be satisfied. They just love to piss and moan no matter what. Josh has all the upside in the world. He makes some throws out there that just make you say "WOW!", throws that only a couple other QB's in this league can make. If he takes the same kind of step forward from year 2 to 3 as he did from 1 to 2 then most of the hate he gets will dissipate, but notice I said most. He has a legit #1 now in Diggs, we have kept continuity while continuing to build the depth of the OL, and we have some young players who hopefully take another step forward along with Josh. I, for one, am glad we have him and I truly believe the future is bright around here not only for him, but for our team in general and all of us fans who love our Bills. -
With the 28th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select Cesar Ruiz, C, University of Michigan. The retirement of Marshall Yanda hurt. This offense is predicated on running the football and Ruiz is a vicious interior OL'man in that respect. He's a two time All Big Ten performer who will fit in with our offense well. He also has the flexibility to play G which is where he will be starting for us week 1. @Philo and the Titans are on the clock.

@NewEra you are on the clock once again my friend.

Sammy Watkins restructures contract - Will Return
H2o replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean Watkins has taken home $32,000,000 the last couple of years and will get another $9,000,000 this year at least. It's not a bad haul and he got a ring. Can't be mad at that. -
Well, that's the kiss of death. It's like finding out Eddie Mush just bet one the same horse as you.

Brandon Beane press conference 4/2 & One Bills Live
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know we haven't advanced in the playoffs yet, but Beane/McDermott have torn it down and built this thing from the ground up basically in 3 years, while still making the playoffs 2 out of those 3, and after a 17 year drought. It's amazing to think we have a top tier organization, FO, and staff at this point, but it is becoming a reality my friends and fellow Bills fans.- 100 replies

For one day be nice to Robert Kraft

Are you suggesting he may have been "pulled" in this direction? -
Has he even been reinstated yet? I guess Smith and Gregory will be best of friends almost immediately.

I'll jump in again, whatever team will be fine. @Virgil Cardinals Bucs Pats There

Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
H2o replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's a 20 minute breakdown Simms did on Claypool. Look at that 1.52 10yd split time. Hope he's there @ #54 and Beane pulls the trigger. Diggs and Brown on the outside, with Beasley and Claypool playing in the slot, then throw in Knox at TE? We'd be unstoppable. -

One would think the Diggs deal was already in the works. I don't believe they were thinking, "Diggs or Sanders, Sanders or Diggs, hmm? Diggs it is because Sanders won't commit." -

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/coronavirus-induced-recession-least-likely-in-east-coast-midwest-cities I live here in VA just outside of Richmond. There are many factories out here and I happen to work at one named AdvanSix. There are many such as Dupont, Honeywell, Phillip Morris, Ashland Chemical, Green Plains which is an Ethanol plant, and AdvanSix. We used to be a division of Honeywell, but the "Resins and Chemicals" division got spun off into our own separate entity back in October of 2016. Our company has already received a letter from the government telling us to continue onward doing what we do. All of the other local facilities have as well. These factories employ a hefty number of people in this area. As long as they keep running then many of us around here will not be without a job. Thought it was good to see Rochester and Buffalo both on the list as I know many of my fellow Bills fans reside in those areas.

Yeah, but they also played against the best comp in college football being in the SEC with both of them balling out. They also both got it done in the biggest moments. If Tua's health holds up I expect them both to do well in the NFL. -

14 teams in the Playoffs confirmed. Are we a lock?
H2o replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to believe it doesn't hurt our chances by any means, but a number of things could happen in which our season would be derailed. -
