Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude
H2o replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked Sammy and argued the point that when he was targeted like a #1 WR then he put up #1 WR numbers. I was disappointed when he was traded. At the same time we don't know the full extent of what went on behind the scenes at OBD, conversations that were had and statements that were made. McDermott and Beane don't strike me as the types to bash players openly to the media, past nor present. I believe they felt it was in the best interests of all parties involved to take what they got and move on. -
Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude

It was mainly his attitude, but I'm sure the injuries factored in as well. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/01/rams-sammy-watkins-cant-stop-talking-selfish-he-was-bills/ -
Can you imagine Drew Brees in that offense? He'd take them to another level as well, a level beyond that of what Phillip Rivers could. The only thing Tampa would need is a couple of quality RB's, some tweaking of the OL, and they would be a legitimate NFC contender for a couple of years if Brees' consistency holds up.

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?

This is where he ends up institutionalized, either in a psych ward somewhere or jail for an extended period of time. At least he'll have plenty of commissary money. -

Tennessee Titans in Search of New DC - Could Impact Buffalo
H2o replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand your point, but I still think it would be wrong to do to the guy personally unless they bump his pay up or something. Pretty sure a DB coach isn't making the same as would a DC. -

I know that technically you can, but it would be a crappy move on the organization's part to hold a guy back from a potential shot at an elevated position. -

I don't go on Drafttek at all really, but happened to look and see if they still had their draft simulator up. I decided to browse through their mock draft and this is what I saw.

I like the idea of dropping back a few slots to pick up an extra 2nd this year. -
Edwards backed out is what I read earlier. https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-football/article239461838.html

This would be a move up in the ranks for him from a DB coach to an actual DC. You can't block that for someone. -

He sounds like he wants to be Future. Not gonna work out for him. -
We need a strong power RB next year...Henry/Lynch type.
H2o replied to pgrace245's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
San Francisco had the #2 Rushing offense in the league this year while having the #13 passing offense. They also ran the ball 43 times against Minnesota to only 19 passing attempts. What did GB think they were going to do against them? They knew they were going to run, but they didn't have a defense that is built to stop them. -

Mostert has actually had a solid year averaging 5.6 per carry, scoring 10 total TD's, and getting 772 yards where Shanahan is always swapping out RB's. He had 19 carries for 146 and a TD against Baltimore earlier this year. He's not really a no name like Timmy Smith who blew up the Broncos for 204 and 2 TD's in the SB back in 1988. -
Gameday Thread Titans @ Chiefs AFC Title

I know people have been talking about this should have been us against the Titans and whatnot, but I don't see how we would have held this KC offense in check. -

Phillip Rivers has moved away from San Diego to Florida
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carolina would benefit to have Rivers as a bridge QB and they have some nice weapons on offense with McCaffrey, Moore, and Samuel. -
Gase is terrible. I honestly think it's only going to get worse for the Jets before it gets better. Peyton Manning and the rest of that offense in Denver made him look like something he's surely not. All of the crap that happened this year with the handling of injuries, the way they treated players around the trade deadline, and Gase's attitude in general is going to make them very unattractive in FA also. Garrett strikes me as a guy like Wade Phillips who can have a long career as a coordinator, but isn't really cut out to be a HC.
