  1. Are Payton and the Saints the new BB and the Pats, win at all costs?
  2. I would say CTE, but this is probably more the result of a bunch of drunks trying to come up with a plan to get rich.
  3. As did I, along with our first playoff victory in over 2 decades.
  4. With it being a trip west I would think we are the late game on either Saturday or Sunday.
  5. I was thinking more along the lines of 8lb 6oz baby Jesus, the savior of the Buffalo Bills though and not our souls.
  6. Indeed. They said he's lost the locker room. One can only hope the Jets stick with the guy and they continue to botch Darnold's development. Also, with all of the bad press between trade talks and the handling of medical issues, I doubt any FA really wants to go there. They may quickly become the bottom dwellers of the AFC East.
  7. Merry Christmas, my friends, from me and my family to all of you. Hope today is full of good times, cherished memories, peace, and grace. ???
  8. What if the Raiders sneak in on the back end? If they win along with Tennessee losing to Houston, Steelers to the Ravens, and a couple other things, which are likely, happen then they get in.
  9. Completely stupid to trot all of the starters out there in an absolutely meaningless game. There is nothing to be gained from this. At this point the team is what it is. We should take advantage of the ability to rest our main guys and let the backups get some work in.
  10. There's not much variation now from what they ran schematically when he was there before. The concepts are basically the same.
  11. This is what happens when the FO makes a bunch of short sighted decisions in hopes of a quick SB instead of building for sustainability.
  12. For what it's worth he still averaged 4.2 ypc last year in 6 games with the Raiders. Of course he's not the player he once was, but the Seahawks have their top 3 RB's on IR and Lynch knows the offense. It's a very low risk, possibly good reward signing for them.
  13. Houshmazilli.....Championship of course
  14. Why Ferguson, oh why?
  15. I absolutely cannot wait until it all comes crashing down. I hope they not only lose in the playoffs, but get absolutely humiliated by whomever it is that takes them down. I want to see a 51-3 drubbing at the hands of whomever it may be. I hope Brady gets hit so many times that they are scraping him off of the turf, Belichick is made to look a fool by the opposing coaching staff, and that Edelman gets pounded. There are no words strong enough for how much I absolutely hate the Pats from top to bottom, from the owner all the way down to the waterboy. Oh, you can bet the league is going to get involved with this one.
  16. Everything I'm seeing for the RT market in FA is iffy at best as far as being an upgrade because I think the better OT's like Conklin, Bulaga, and Daryl Williams will stay with their respective teams. Nsekhe is still probably the best option we have at this point. It will likely be another draft pick spent if they see Ford as a G rather than a RT. I see Jedrick Willis from Alabama as a possible Day 2 guy if we go that route. If we want to go day 3 to address the OL I like guys like Jared Hilbers from Washington, Matt Peart from UConn, and Charlie Heck of UNC. For the DE position you have a few options that will be FA's. Clowney, Ngakoue, Robert Quinn who has had a really good year for Dallas, and Emmanuel Ogbah lead the way. I do believe we need to re-sign Lawson. He has really stepped up his game this year and has earned a new contract from us if he wants to stick around. After that, your guess is as good as mine. I like Clowney, but he is going to want to break the bank. I like Ngakoue, but I worry about his size @ 246lbs as far as being an every down contributor who can set an edge. Quinn is going to be 32 next year and you have to wonder if his production can be consistent for another 2 or 3 years. Ogbah is young and has really scratched the surface of what he may be, but he has battled some injuries in his first few years. If we go with the draft in this regard as well I like Yetur Gross-Matos from Penn St., Terrell Lewis from Alabama, Khalid Kareem from Notre Dame, Kenny Willekes from Michigan St., Bradley Anae from Utah, and Curtis Weaver from Boise St.
  17. There is a plethora of WR's in this upcoming draft. The two that I am leaning towards are Michael Pittman Jr. from USC and Chase Claypool from Notre Dame. I love all the Alabama guys and Higgins, but I believe all of them will be off of the board by the time we get our 1st pick. Both know how to use their size to shield off defenders, are 6'4" 220lbs+, and excellent hands catchers. At RB I don't think Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin will be a viable option either as I expect him to go top 15. A guy I REALLY like who is the big type of RB we need is AJ Dillon from BC. He has kind of flown under the radar because he has played on some really bad teams, but the guy runs with ferocity and has an extra gear to him for a big guy. He's 6'0" and 250lbs, but is in good shape for his size kind of like Henry. There is a run at the 1:00 mark of the video that will make you say "WOW".
  18. Two quality FA additions. Now all we need is a couple of big WR's to match with them, a younger hammering type RB, a OL tweak or two, and we'll be top 5 on both offense and defense.
  19. Yes and one of the top 5-8 QB's in the league, if not better.
  20. Another thing that urks me, aside from Edelman being the sh*t on the bottom of your shoe, is the dumb*ss announcers who defend him. Perfect example last night in Kurt Warner. Tried to say that Edelman wasn't attempting an illegal pick on the defender, no he was bracing at the last minute for the hit he saw coming. Gtfoh with that bs Kurt.
  21. This thread is like an early Christmas present for the Nancy's. They love the misery and that misery loves company. They also carry their banner with pride and take every opportunity to "reinforce" their stance. Josh has now faced a BB, Brady led New England team 3 times. We all know what Belichick does to young QB's. We have seen it for 20 years now. In his first two he put up QB ratings of 52.4 with with 2 INT's and only 1 TD (2018) then earlier this year he had a QB rating of 24.0 with 3 INT's and no TD's at all. Last night Josh has a QB rating of 102.7 while throwing 2 TD's and having no interceptions. Is that not improvement? He also drops two absolute dimes on deep passes right in the bucket while under pressure. Is that not improvement? Were the Nancy's not most vehemently crying about his deep ball? Many others expressed their concerns as well, but this was the feather in the cap of the detractors. "Oh, well he has improved on the intermediate stuff, but he can't throw a deep ball to save his life!" Now it almost seems like whatever he does well they will point to the opposite to justify their stance. Yes, Josh missed some throws. A crossing route to Beasley, a throw a little inside when it should have more towards the sideline for McKenzie or Brown, about a foot out of the window of Knox on that last drive while trying to get the ball over top of a defender. Hell, even running for his life on that 4th down play he still almost found Beasley in the corner of the endzone. He's not Drew Brees, and neither are any other QB's for that matter. He is however a 23 year old QB who is improving and working with some limited resources still on offense whether you want to admit it or not. You can see it. Once he had that drive before halftime, the game wasn't too big for him even in a losing effort. The fact of the matter is NE executed their offense to perfection and had almost a 2-1 edge in TOP. Even with that we were right there again at the end against the 2nd best team in the AFC, just like we were against the best team in the AFC a couple of weeks ago.
