Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My cousin is a cop in a local county here in VA. It does take a special type of individual to deal with the things they see day in and day out. He went in the Marines out of HS and became an MP. He was stationed at the White House while Bill Clinton was in office. There is actually a Time Magazine cover he made saluting the President while Bill is boarding "Marine One". When he got out that is what he chose to do and has been a cop for 20+ now. The stories he tells are sometimes horrifying, inspiring, or extremely comical. He turned out to be one of the good ones, but he has seen many fall by the wayside. -
He's gonna possibly get released and suspended again. Claiming it's his brother's after his history isn't going to fly with the NFL I'm sure.

How old is this my friend? The Burrow ranking is pretty off imo. -
Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They say he first hit the truck with a rock when the guy refused to drop his stuff off because Brown refused to pay the $4,000.00 for the move. The guy left and called the cops. His company told him to go back because Brown agreed to pay the $4,000.00 and then x amount for damages. When he got back Brown paid the $4,000.00, but refused to pay the damages. When he refused to open the truck Brown and the trainer tried to get into the cab to get the keys and assaulted the driver. After reading the story it doesn't sound like a "mental health" incident, but more of the typical douche nozzle behavior that we have seen a pattern of from him over the years. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28541219/florida-arrest-warrant-issued-antonio-brown-battery-case -
True, but in this case his stupid choices won him his stupid prizes (charges of course)

Nope, they're saying it's Josh's fault because he ducked into it

Hopefully we get at least one, if not two, at home. -

The prescription drug charge is a felony most likely. Sucks for him, but stupid choices win you stupid prizes.

Thanks for the memories Eli

In A LOT of instances he's blown past his man or completely left him on the initial move, but his QB's were Brandon Wimbush and Ian Book. Wimbush was wildly inaccurate and most of the time he was having to adjust to Book's passes so it made him look like the defender was closer than they actually were. Book also doesn't see the field that well and misses him open a lot of times. He has no problem whatsoever getting separation. He also knows how to use that big frame to shield off defenders in tight spaces too. He broke a lot of initial tackle attempts as well to get extra yardage, but just like anyone else will be tackled on the first hit from time to time. No WR is Christian Okoye out there. Watch these few videos below. I've watched him his entire ND career and I promise you the kid is gonna be a legit WR in the NFL.

Somebody talented enough should do a remake of the police video and every time it shows his ex they could cut his voice and plug in the song, "Girl you know it's true, ooh, ooh, oo-ooh, I love you." -
Deebo reminds me a lot of Eric Moulds when I watch him on the field

I like Pittman, but Claypool has a gear and hops that Pittman doesn't have. He also excels with the contested catches. He runs a solid route tree and you could see him gain separation from any defender. Book missed him in many instances, not seeing the field well. People saying he should switch to TE are going to be disappointed when he becomes a really good, if not great, WR in the NFL. Watch the combine. I've been telling people for a long time he's Mike Evans 2.0 and the numbers will tell you the same.

He'll be caught when an undercover police officer shows up like he is an Uber Eats driver. -
I hope Beane loves him some Chase Claypool as well. Banging the table for this guy right here. https://fightingirishwire.usatoday.com/2020/01/21/chase-claypools-good-start-to-senior-bowl-week/

Hauschka seemed to turn it around after we put a claim in on McLaughlin. We still need to be on the lookout for a kicker who can be counted on for FG's that extend to about the 55 yard range if given the opportunity. SH's leg strength seems to be on the decline and he's liability when you need anything longer than a 49 yard attempt. Ferguson is fine. Bojo is hit or miss. He has games where he hits some really nice punts, then has a game where he shanks 2 out of 5 with the other 3 being meh. Field position is huge so I would hope that they are looking for an upgrade to a more consistent punter, and Vedvik is not going to be the answer. Vedvik = fodder

Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude
H2o replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked Sammy and argued the point that when he was targeted like a #1 WR then he put up #1 WR numbers. I was disappointed when he was traded. At the same time we don't know the full extent of what went on behind the scenes at OBD, conversations that were had and statements that were made. McDermott and Beane don't strike me as the types to bash players openly to the media, past nor present. I believe they felt it was in the best interests of all parties involved to take what they got and move on. -

It was mainly his attitude, but I'm sure the injuries factored in as well. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/01/rams-sammy-watkins-cant-stop-talking-selfish-he-was-bills/ -
Can you imagine Drew Brees in that offense? He'd take them to another level as well, a level beyond that of what Phillip Rivers could. The only thing Tampa would need is a couple of quality RB's, some tweaking of the OL, and they would be a legitimate NFC contender for a couple of years if Brees' consistency holds up.

This is where he ends up institutionalized, either in a psych ward somewhere or jail for an extended period of time. At least he'll have plenty of commissary money. -
