Who should the Bills draft at 60 in the TSW community mock draft v1.0
H2o replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I went with Fiske, but I also considered handwriting in Gabriel Murphy. -
Calling it now: You're all about to witness the arrival of Shakir
H2o replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he could definitely play that Beasley role we've, Josh has, been missing the last couple of years. Shakir has more ability after the catch than Beasley had though. Tough to say whether he can survive on the outside, facing opposing teams' boundary CB's. You could see the improvement from year one to year two for sure. Can he be Amon Ra? 🤞🤞 -
With the 57th pick, in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select..... Chris Braswell / OLB / Alabama We just released Shaq Barrett a couple weeks ago, and our pass rush was lacking outside of our 2023 rookie YaYa Diaby. We signed Randy Gregory a couple days ago, but the cupboard needs to be restocked even still. Braswell, though not possessing the same elite athletic traits as Dallas Turner, is still a solid prospect in his own right. He plays with A LOT of power, using his hands well. And when he gets to the QB, he hits like DE's of old. He had 13 sacks and 33 pressures this past season. Every year as his playing time increased, so did his production. We are excited to get him here in the 2nd. The Green Bay Packers and @mrags @Virgil are on the clock.

New Buscaglia mock has Bills trading up to 7 for Malik Nabers
H2o replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would take Nabers every day of the week and twice on Sunday. -
Oh, I'm sure there are quite a few more who know why this trade went down. I expect no one to talk about it on the Buffalo side though. I do, however, expect Diggs to do an interview or two here at some point in the near future where he throws out some parting shots in typical Diggs' manner.

I think this all goes along with the Josh Allen being relieved Diggs is gone line of thought. I really think Josh was tired of his antics, his attitude, and his "me first" bull crap. I think he was tired of the questions about and defending a guy who was always causing drama, both in public and behind the scenes. Simms probably dealt with some similar stuff to a certain extent and understands. Florio, on the other hand, is just a bobblehead with a mic and a law degree.

Really like this pick for the Raiders. Penix can make every throw on the football field and would almost certainly earn the starting nod.

Passed over Payton Wilson to take Cooper?

If Rex Ryan had not been fired, and we still drafted Josh Allen...
H2o replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rex Ryan inherited the #2 defense in the NFL from 2014. He proceeded to then turn them into a middling group in 2015 and hired his idiot brother to coach with him in 2016. He wouldn't have gotten this team to the Playoffs multiple times in a row, more or less win multiple division titles in a row. One of the most overrated coaches of all time.- 93 replies

"See if Kyler Murray is the guy in the future,"? Bro, you got Kyler ready to square up:

We met with Audric Estime at the Combine as well. I think we are looking for a guy who fits that power back type of mold. Benson does run with power. We'd have to spend a 2nd on him though and I can't see it.

Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?
H2o replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said this yesterday in the Diggs trade thread, that this situation could REALLY be addition by subtraction. This is what I was talking about in that. Allen has no one to try and appease now so he can just go play football again. -
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-works-with-college-presidents-to-form-super-league I can't even claim to say I understand what this would do to College football, but things are already folding as we speak with these super conferences that have been forming. Things may look extremely different within the next 5 years or so. In one regard, it is rightfully so. These universities and other people in general have made billions off of the backs of these young men for years. The system has been corrupt for longer than many of us have been alive. Now things have taken a different turn.

I actually think Franklin would be a solid contributor in that offense. Basically he would just be breaking off routes and looking for space when Lamar goes into his scramble drills. He was good at that while at Oregon.

Who Should the Bills draft at 28 (TSW community mock version 1.0)) 2024
H2o replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guy is Legette, so you already know. I think he has the ability to be that big play WR who can take any ball to the house. Whether it be one Go route, a Slant, a Post, a Post Corner, he can get loose. I also like that he has a big body for a WR at 220lbs. I've seen comps of Deebo, and Steve Smith says DK, but I see AJ Brown with a bit more speed in the open field. -
He was the other guy I was seriously considering. Chose to lean towards the trenches instead.

With the 26th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select, Graham Barton, Tackle, Duke University. The knee injuries that forced Ryan Jensen into retirement left a massive hole in our OL. Robert Hainsey filled in, but he really needs to be at one of the G positions. Barton has positional versatility, but is widely seen as the 2nd best Center prospect in this draft outside of JPJ. His mean streak on the field, especially in the run game, will have many people thinking Jensen is still manning the middle of the Bucs OL. @gonzo1105 and the Arizona Cardinals are on the clock.
-
This is a bit overdramatic. The Bills aren't even close to being the Sabres. Josh Allen is about to turn 28 years old. The window is still wide open and will be as long as he is playing.
-
You see what happens when Deebo gets hurt and they actually feature him. He does really well as "the guy" when he takes on that role. Still, I think that part of what we want to do is shed that big time salary, not take on another more pricey one. Aiyuk is going to want to be PAID. I think they get two WR's in this draft. One in the first and another in the 4th, or on a trade up into the 3rd.

Guilty as charged

Personally, I don't care Diggs is gone. So be it. We got a 2025 2nd, which is more than we would get next offseason if we held onto him. We also take the cap hit this year versus next. Thanks for the play the first couple of years, but the last couple your antics have been ridiculous. A very childish mentality. you can try to say, "He just wants to win. He's a competitor." But all of them want to win and they can keep their emotions under wraps, instead of having toddler type outbursts. Then he would run to social media all the time with his dumb antics as well. I was over it. I think everyone behind the scenes was over it. I think Josh did the best he could to keep the waters calm in all of his interviews, but he was over it. Let's go hit on a couple of WR's this draft and keep it moving. This situation REALLY could end up being addition by subtraction.

Bill O'Brien, end of story.

Inside scoop from Damar?
-
I don't remember Josh mentioning Diggs in that interview with Kyle and Jordan recently. Maybe he already knew?
-
Now he'll be viewed as the greatest FA signing of the offseason (if it happens) and Beane was sleeping at the wheel again.
