Digging Deeper: Insightful Articles on Draft Prospects

Chase Claypool https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/02/06/deep-look-profile-buffalo-bills-draft-target-chase-claypool/ -
I like Joe Burrow, and I think he will be a Franchise QB, but Miami has a heck of a lot of holes on that team. They basically need to rebuild the entire OL, need a long term answer at QB, the defense needs major work, and their RB depth chart is full of a bunch of PS players. At the same time Miami owns an insane 13 picks in this upcoming draft, with 6 of those in the first 3 rounds. They have a whopping three 1st Round picks, two 2nd's, and a 3rd. If any team could move up and still have plenty of picks left to maneuver then it's the Dolphins. Who knows what they will do? Who knows what Mike Brown actually wants? One thing I do believe is if they trade out of #1, passing on the homegrown Burrow, then that could be the final nail in the coffin for that franchise. The fans just won't show up or buy any merchandise.

With the 49th pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select KJ Hamler, WR, Penn St. The Bears @section122 are on the clock Washington came on a bit this year, but even before the injury you could see JuJu struggling without AB. Hamler is a WR in who you will immediately have to take into account because of his speed alone if nothing else. When I see him I think a Desean Jackson clone. This will open up the field for JuJu again and hopefully Washington continues to grow during this time.

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to take into account his homes he has to pay at least taxes on yearly, his lifestyle, his vehicles and their yearly taxes/costs, if his ex goes for child support, his outstanding lawsuits, lawyer fees, the production of his "music", it will dissipate rather quickly regardless of how many people he tries to stiff. -

This is all @Virgil 's fault for crackin the bottle in celebration of his Jake Fromm State Farm Carolina selection and getting lost on the updates.
-
Yeah, you may be right. @whatdrought have you made 2 selections in the 2nd or just the one?

Swift could be what Kareem Hunt used to be for them. Kinda sick to think about especially since they just won the SB.

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I see it as being all part of his wannabe reality show, need for attention, and trying to scheme his way back into an NFL team's wallet. He's not stupid, just an idiot. -
Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?

The apology tour is because he is realizing that his lifestyle + his current income + his current consequences = broke in a short period of time without that NFL $$$. -
I'll take whoever, just let me know

I must admit I have been down on Shenault. I have given people a lot of flak over the guy. I apologize to everyone who I was giving a hard time about LS. I also gave a lazy comparison of Cordarrelle Patterson, but that was physically, playing style, and athletically incorrect. I watched the two, one after another, for a while yesterday evening and realized how far off base I was outside of the fact as to how their respective teams used them. I said I saw LS as Patterson 2.0 and nothing could be further from the truth. So I went back and started digging. Watching Shenault I realized he is a MUCH BETTER hands catcher (as another poster pointed out to me previously) than I was giving him credit for, unlike Patterson who seemed to try to catch everything with his body. Shenault is also going to be an asset in the running game with his strength and physicality, whether it be blocking or getting the ball on a jet sweep. Patterson was not physical, just fast with an ability to put his foot in the ground then get going 0-60 in a split second. I was thinking to myself, "Dang, I made myself look like an idiot saying he was CP 2.0." Then I started thinking about who he actually did remind me of, who was he most similar to, which NFL WR has that same body type, and where had I seen Shenault's style of play before? All of a sudden it was like a light switch came on. The way they catch the ball, the way they move with the ball in their hands, the run after the catch ability, the body type, the way they track the ball in the air then meet it at it's highest point, almost dang near everything. The only difference is the WR he is most like was a more polished route runner coming into the league and his college team did not use him in the same manner as CU did with Shenault. Who he really reminds me of after watching the two side by side is a slightly more explosive, but less polished route runner version Larry Fitzgerald. I also expect Shenault to run a similarly "slow" 40 time to be honest. Maybe not a 4.63 like Fitzgerald did, but I expect it to be in the 4.53-4.58 range. People are going to want to talk about the stat differential between the two, but watch both of them track the ball, watch how they catch the ball, and watch them both once they get the ball in their hands. To me they seem eerily similar. Watch these highlight reels and judge for yourself. I am not saying Shenault is going to be Larry Fitzgerald 2.0 and a have a HOF career, but that Larry is the WR that Shenault reminds me of the most when I look at the two side by side on the highlight reels. If this is who we take at #22 then I wouldn't complain as long as all of his medicals are good.

If Eisen can take him I know you can. I'm 43 and I'm certain I could beat him in a foot race. -

Dang Teef, you're gonna have to work on that this offseason. Tom's gotta be somewhere in the 5.95 40 range by now. -

Jags unlikely to allow Yannick Ngakoue to test FA
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Addison is a little long in the tooth as he will be 33 by the start of next season, as is Campbell who will be 34 by the beginning of next year. They could try to bring him, Addison, in on a 1 or 2 year deal, but he's not any sort of long term answer. I also don't know what you give up in a trade for a DE who will be 34 years old, nothing more than one of our 6th's imo. -

Re-sign Lawson or make a run @ Dante Fowler if Lawson is bent on going elsewhere (but don't overpay for him). I would much rather re-sign Lawson and add a guy in the draft to be honest. There are some talented guys who will be there through the first few rounds imo. You have YGM, AJ Epenesa, Bradley Anae, Zack Baun, K'Lavon Chaisson, and Kenny Willekes. I expect YGM and Epenesa to be gone by the time we pick in the 1st though. There are two guys that I would keep an eye on because they seem to fit the mold McDermott and Beane are looking for, Bradlee Anae and Kenny Willekes. I think they are guys who both will be available between rounds 2-4. The guy that ABSOLUTELY screams "Process" to me is Kenny Willekes. The guy went from walk-on to All American at Michigan State. He's not the DE who will run the fastest at the combine or anything like that. He does however have a good motor, very good instincts, a repertoire of moves, a really good first step, and a functional strength that you don't see very often. He consistently throws guys around that outweigh him by 60lbs and you better not try to block him with a TE. He was a leader in that MSU locker room receiving praise from everyone for his work ethic and contagious intensity. The pundits and draftniks want to knock him for his arm length and the typical "lack of athleticism" jargon they use, but watch him on tape. Don't be surprised if he ends up in a Bills uniform this year. Bradley Anae also seems to fit the "Process" mold of players imo. Really quick off of the edge, but will need to be coached up on how use his hands better and disengage. It's the same talk with him by the pundits and draftniks, his arms aren't long enough, his athleticism will limit him, blah, blah. He as well looks good on tape. He doesn't have the same bend that Willekes does, but I think he can be effective off of the edge in the NFL and no one will question his effort on every play. -
Yeah, that would have been a sick trio for Denver to go along with two quality RB's.

If Ruggs is there I take Ruggs because he's gonna get open every time Josh runs around in the backfield the same way Hill does for Mahomes all the time. We can still get a big WR in 3 or 4 that will be just as capable of seeing the field playing with the depth of this class.
