DC is only about a 3 hour hike from where I'm at in VA. I just might have to go check this out.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
H2o replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope, after all of the offseason additions to the DL and Secondary, that we absolutely murder Burrow and the Bengals this year. We'll see. I still think they are the worst matchup until we prove otherwise on the field. I have seen us beat both KC and Baltimore, no matter how people feel about the way it happened. I haven't seen us beat the Bengals with Burrow, Chase, and Higgins. -
Ehhhh, I don't know about the TJ Watt comparison. Watt has more bend, and is even quicker than Jackson. For Jackson, I was thinking more along the lines of JPP.

I really like our draft as a whole. And though I think Dorian Strong will end up being our diamond in the rough, I REALLY liked this pick, especially where we were able to grab him. We now have two mammoth human beings that will be lining up at bookends on the DL for years to come. At 6'6", 264lbs, with 33" arms, even when he doesn't get to the QB, he will certainly disrupt passing lanes. Fact of the matter is though, for a guy his size, he's quite twitchy and nimble out there. He also converts speed to power well, and will absolutely manhandle opposing blockers. He also plays the run well. It will be interesting to see our rotation this year. I expect Jackson to see a lot of work on early downs, and Bosa in more clear passing situations. I also think the staff wants to get to the Playoffs with a healthy as possible Bosa so they can turn him loose. This DE group could be the best we've had in a long time if everyone stays healthy, that's not even counting PED boy.

The defense was nonexistent on our side. They were cutting through them like a hot knife through butter. -
There are a few, but these two come to mind. The Bills vs Vikings September 2018. This is the game Josh Allen jumped clear over Anthony Barr. At that point, you knew Josh was something special. The Bills vs Rams in September of 2020. Yeah, we blew a 25 point lead, but Josh Allen put the cape on for that last drive. He threw Donald to the ground by his face mask, then hits Tyler Kroft for the game winner in the corner of the endzone with 15 seconds to go.

This is the way I see things shaking out. CB1: Benford, Strong CB2: Hairston, White NCB: T. Johnson, Ingram FS: Forrest, Hamlin, Hancock SS: Rapp, Bishop I think Ingram sticks over Lewis and Jackson. I think Codrington and Hardy are battling for a roster spot strictly based on ST's. I think they keep one less LB on the roster to keep one more DB. I hope the LB cut is the Temu version of Klein, Baylon Spector.

Paper tigers. The whole bend-but-don't-break defense may be fine in the Regular Season, but in the Playoffs they always failed us. They failed us in 2022 when Josh had us a lead with 13 seconds to go, they failed us in 2024 when it came down to a Bass kick to tie, and they failed us this year in the AFCCG again when it mattered most.
-
Seems accurate to me, and makes total sense as to why we always come up short in the Playoffs. The defense has consistently failed us. I have said this before, and I will say it again. There is no QB who has done more, with less, than Josh Allen. None. He won an MVP last year with his WR's being a washed/injured Cooper, Mack Hollins, Shakir, an rookie who spent extended time on the injury report in Coleman, an oft injured or non-existent Curtis Samuel, and an invisible MVS. His leading receiver had 821 yds. His leading rusher just barely scraped 1,000 yds in the final game of the season. 40+ total TD's for the 5th season in a row, and your reigning NFL MVP.

I say Cincinnati because they have beat us handedly. We are 0-2 against them, and likely would have been 0-3 except for what happened to Hamlin. -
Dalvin every chance he gets

I think Cooper ends up back in Dallas on a cheap, one year deal before TC.

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)

This is depth. We have some 2's, solid Slots, and depth guys. Josh will still be Josh. Another 40+ combined TD season. Hopefully, Moore can catch a few of those. -
Great idea, the Bills get one W from the jump!
-
You know, if the kid and his idiot friends had just exercised better judgment, and had not posted the video, who knows if they even get caught. May still have, but can't say for certain. The social media age and lack of common sense strikes again.

I didn't even know who this guy was, or that he was on a team.

The restraining order against you says to try and find it online.

Ed is absolutely on this team in September. It's the same old Bills fans who even bring this up or think he won't be.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
H2o replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you go back and look at the SB's New England won with Brady, it's either middle of the pack WR's or one good WR and a good TE. He never had a plethora or riches at the position until he got to Tampa. He won 6 rings prior to that and got a lot of mediocre guys paid. Peyton Manning, on the other hand, had good WR's (one HOF'er) while in Indy, a HOF RB in Edgerrin James, and Dallas Clark. He still only got one Lombardi in that time because the Pats, Steelers, and Ravens pretty much ran things in the AFC. -
Lol. Beane a bit butthurt here. Listing Kincaid as an option similar to Kelce, LaPorta, or Kittle is pretty hilarious. Kincaid isn't anywhere near that level yet, and actually ended our season this year with his whiff on 4th down.

That looks pretty awesome.

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/elijah-moore/32004d4f-4f27-9723-3c75-0e082bc200c9 This is his Combine profile. Zierlein compared him to Antonio Brown. I was thinking more of a better route running version of John Brown. -
Leading up to the draft, I believe a lot of us thought the Bills would go heavy defense. Pretty much all of us were hoping for two or three DT's, myself hoping for three and two of those were true 1-Tech's. The Secondary, though addressed with ghosts of Bills' teams past, needed another long term boundary solution. One that is scheme versatile, and could excel in either Zone or Man. After that, we as fans, saw a need for a field stretching, deep threat WR. Here's what we got: 30. Maxwell Hairston / CB / Kentucky - This is our versatile boundary CB who will become a stalwart in our defense (imo). Speed, instincts, and he's a real ball hawk. (Grade - A) 41. TJ Sanders / DT / South Carolina - He is a powerful 3-Tech who will operate in heavy rotation, AND combine with Oliver on obvious passing situations to make a fearsome duo rushing from the interior. He has lateral quickness to shake from his would be blocker and collapse the pocket from the middle. Some people didn't like the trade up, but hey, this is a good pick. (Grade - A-) 72. Landon Jackson / DE / Arkansas - This is a LARGE human being who gets after the QB. He has athletic traits, even at his size, which cannot be taught. A good first step, good strength, bend you don't see in too many guys his size, and a good closing burst once he beats his would be blocker. He is also good against the run. He and Groot will be as formidable a duo moving forward as we have seen. (Grade - A) 109. Deone Walker / DT / Kentucky - Walker is another massive human being at 6'7" and 335lbs. He has almost 35" arms and still put up 22 bench reps at his Pro Day. He's our 1-Tech from this draft and the Bills are banking on traits here. If they can coach him up to keep his pad level lower, not playing so upright at times, then he has the ability to be dominant. In 2023 he had 8 sacks. (Grade - B) 170. Jordan Hancock / DB / Ohio St. - He's played CB. He's played Safety. He's like a Swiss Army knife for McD and Babich. Ultimately, I think his position will be more of that Micah Hyde Safety role. And the clay they have to mold here is more athletically gifted than Hyde was. Let's hope McD can work his Secondary magic with this guy. (Grade - B+) 173. Jackson Hawes / TE / Georgia Tech - We needed a 3rd TE, and got one who is one of the better blocking TE's in the class. It's hard to evaluate him as a pass catcher because of his limited opportunities (only 20 targets and 16 catches), but he seems to have good hands and can find a soft spot in a Zone. (Grade - B- ) 177. Dorian Strong / CB / Virginia Tech - Another CB selected trying to get the talent level of our Secondary up. In my opinion, this could be our diamond in the rough. He can play in Man or Zone, and is extremely disruptive. In 2023 he allowed an 11.8 passer rating. He only gave up 83 yards on 9 catches while playing 700+ snaps and being targeted 33 times for an entire season. That's solid. His tackling needs work, but the coverage abilityis there. (Grade - A-) 206. Chase Lundt / OT / UConn - He's a depth OL piece with some potential. He allowed 0 sacks in 450 pass blocking reps this year. He's also as durable ad they come. Decent pick at this spot. (Grade - B) 240. Kayden Prather / WR / Maryland - Decent speed, decent quicks, but nothing special. That is why he was available here. He's a Camp body and potential ST's guy. (Grade - C) Overall, I am extremely happy with this draft. I think we are building a defense that wins Championships. I especially like our top 3 selections. I also like the Strong pick more than most. If Deone Walker pans out at 1-Tech and lives up to his potential, being a mammoth disrupting force, and the other picks turn into what I think they will be, this is the draft that will cement Beane and McDermott's legacy as the guys who brought a Lombardi to western NY. Ladies and gents, we got some players out of this one. Overall Grade - A-.

I say we bring back superstar WR, David Nelson.
