I wonder what this REALLY means? The Jags are like, "Hey, we are gonna **** you over so we can get back more than a 3rd Round Comp pick. You can see where we're coming from, right?"

Redskins and Tua at pick 2 - Smokescreen or real?

How lucky would the Giants be if Chase Young fell to them at #4? Cincy takes Burrow, Washington takes Tua, someone trades up to #3 to take Herbert, and then Chase Young falls right into that idiot Gettleman's lap. -

Maybe they are after all of Miami's 1st Round picks? I don't think Flores and company take the bait though. I actually think that Miami may even try to trade back in a couple of instances to stockpile picks for next year to go all in on Lawrence. -

We have the $$$, but it would be absolutely stupid to give him $22,000,000 per season. He had 1.5 more sacks than Lawson on 320 more defensive snaps. And yes, Marrone is an idiot. -

Doubt it. I don't see anyone ponying up a 2nd for Haskins. Maybe a 4th. -

They are just looking to squeeze out something in return for him, something more than they would get in the Comp pick variety. It may backfire in the end. We will see. -

Who knows what the Redskins are thinking? To me this would mean that Snyder has completely backed off from the personnel decisions in Washington, which would be a first in 20+ years. Maybe that was a stipulation Rivera had thrown into his negotiations? I think Detroit would be absolutely ecstatic if this happened and Chase Young fell into their lap. -
Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
H2o replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No offense, MVP or not, look at who his QB is and the breakdown of that QB's completions. Out of 265 completions, 125 of those were to TE's. Then you have 49 completions to RB's. That's 174 of his 265 completions. There were 91 spread around to the WR group with Marquise Brown getting 46 of those. He was the speed guy, a bona fide threat to take it to the house every time he touched the ball whom they schemed for. Then you have Snead who was Lamar's security blanket getting 31 receptions. Lamar only targeted Boykin 22 times and he turned that into 13 catches for 198 yards with 3 TD's. He had 1 drop in those targets with only 17 of them being considered catchable. That offense is not an offense that you can really judge WR's off of. We all knew what Brown was and that Roman would scheme for him. I don't know if Boykin will ever be used in Baltimore or be able to do as well as he would in say a GB, NO, Seattle, Houston, KC, or anywhere else that has a true passing QB. I'm not saying he would be a superstar, but he would likely have had more production as a rookie. Claypool on the other hand differs from Boykin in many ways. First off he weighs 18lbs more than Boykin, but is just as fast. Claypool is clearly a more physical WR if you compare the two in their time at Notre Dame. Claypool also has a bit more twitch to him than Boykin did and can beat DB's on inside slants with more consistency. Yes they both ran a 4.42 at the combine, but if you watch them both at ND Claypool is faster in pads than Boykin. Claypool also has better body control and awareness than Boykin, always being able to layout or twist his body for the ball while getting a foot in bounds to secure the catch. They are two completely different players outside of their height and 40 time. The comparison is lazy at best. -
Possibility of trading up to #16 (Atlanta)
H2o replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely not. I don't want to trade up if it costs us this year's 2nd tbh. My guy is Claypool. I like Ruggs/Lamb/Jeudy as well and I'm fine with moving up for them as long as it can be done reasonably. I don't want us to do anything stupid though. Injuries can happen at any point and if, God forbid, JA goes down for an extended period of time that 1st next year could be top 5. -

Depending on who we sign in FA, that will determine if we move imo. The only guys I could see us moving up a few spots for would be Ruggs/Lamb/Jeudy or Chiasson. If we re-sign Lawson I think the move up for a DE would be off the board. If we get a guy we feel is a top tier talent at WR then there will be no move up for Ruggs, or Lamb, or Jeudy (depending on which of the 3 escapes the top 10). I still think the more likely scenario at this point is us staying put, taking whom they feel is BPA, and maneuver around on day 2 or early day 3. -

Oh ye of little faith my Crispy friend. I think it would be the opposite, that they would trade up for what they percieve as an elite weopon on offense because they do believe Josh is exactly what they drafted him to be. Still think it hinges on what we accomplish in FA though. -
He's a slightly slower version of Robert Ayers with more college production.

It just depends on how much the Bills like said player. Whether that player be Ruggs, Chiasson, or whoever. They are not afraid to maneuver anywhere on the board and it has been proven the last couple of years. If they feel a player of significantly higher value has fallen to a spot where they feel justified in moving up for the cost it takes then they will. All that being said, I am not feeling a trade up in the first this year at the moment. Once the chips settle in FA then possibly, but right now I would say no. If we plug what are considered holes in FA with proven vets then I would say yes, they will be making a move up. The three position groups I am watching are OL, DE, and WR. I think whatever we don't address in FA will be our 1st Round draft selection. Not necessarily out of need, but because that is where they feel their own BPA lies. -
Simmons is crazy athletic. A 4.39u time is wow.

Hence we should be looking to re-sign Tre White asap. -
What's wrong with wanting your team to draft a guy you already knew had size, has proven what he can do on the field running the football, and is showing excellent athletic ability even further at the combine? I can't speak for others, but I have been saying I wanted us to draft Dillon well before this.

He's a beast. Watch around the 1:05 mark.

And he runs a 4.53 forty @ 247lbs. Derrick Henry ran a 4.54.

Chase Claypool- I know you want to talk about him
H2o replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB play did hinder him a lot at times. Brandon Wimbush was trash and Ian Book, though way better than Wimbush, was wildly inconsistent at times throwing the football or reading a defense. He had a problem with drops his Sophomore year, but not since. He has stayed healthy throughout his college career outside of a couple dings here or there which did not cost him any games. His numbers have progressively gotten better every season. He runs a solid route tree for a guy his size and can shake a DB just fine. This class is so deep at WR, and because of his size combined with his athletic ability, people have had him pegged all over the place while even talking of a position switch to TE. He's definitely a WR and will be a good, if not great, one in the NFL. -

Been banging the table for Claypool for months now. Have said basically the same things time and time again. Called him Mike Evans 2.0 since that time as well. There are 3 guys I want from this draft. Chase Claypool, Kenny Willekes, and AJ Dillon. If I have to pick one it's Claypool well beyond the rest. I'm good with him @ #22. I truly believe he would be a perfect fit for this team and Josh Allen. -
Look at Dillon who checked in at 247lbs.

Excellent hands, excellent body control, is a good blocker in the run game, runs a solid route tree for a guy his size, and adjusts well to the ball in the air. All that said, I highly doubt he lasts until our 2nd Round pick after his combine. We would have to take him in the 1st. -

Chase Claypool. 6'4-1/4", 238lbs, 4.42 40, 40.5" vertical, 80"+ wingspan, 10'6" broad jump, and got better every year in college. ***bangs the table*** -
Yeah, but he was really their only downfield target so defenses keyed on him. Fink is a poor man's Beasley. They had a trick-play guy in Lenzy and a good TE in Kmet.
