Training Camp 8/20 - live hitting in Bills Stadium
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like that our offense is facing a defense like ours in practice. Our defense is easily top 3 in the league. Josh is gonna have some rough days, but it will make him better for it in the end. -
I completely disagree with this one my friend. Bruce was a monster both rushing the passer and playing against the run. How many DE's do you see end up with over 100 combined tackles these days? In his prime Bruce would give you between 80-105 tackles, 14-19 sacks, 14-20 TFL's, and 3-5 FF per season. That was none too common in his day nor is it now. His presence alone would strike fear into opposing QB's. I take Bruce over Revis ANY day of the week and twice on Sunday.

That's just it though. Ngakoue THINKS he's elite and wants to get paid like he's elite, but he's truly not. Pass.

Training Camp news? Yeah, I'm gonna be sidelined a couple of weeks. I failed my conditioning test. Laughing at the responses in this thread has left me a little too winded to physically be out there right now.

BIG10 Cancels Cancelling the Season- It Starts 10/23

This situation is blowing up in their faces completely. I figured there would be some resistance to the idea of trying to move the season around, but I didn't expect this. -
I wouldn't say it's absolutely make or break, but you look for growth and maturation from your QB. He needs to be less careless with the ball, running and throwing (at times). He needs to trust his reads and throw his man open. He needs to continue to put air under those deep passes like he was towards the end of the season last year because that's when he was connecting. Sometimes he still gets happy feet in the pocket and looks for a lane to take off when he actually has a man open. You look for improvement in these areas. He's going into year 3 in the same offense, year 3 as a starter. You look for the game to slow down for him even more. I fully expect for this to happen so I'm not worried about Josh whatsoever. He will put up between 3,800-4,200 yards passing, 30-35 passing TD's, a 62% or better completion rate, 500-600 yards rushing, and 5-8 rushing TD's. It's going to be stellar year for the young man.

Beane has officially become the Minister of Magic, no more mere wizarding. -
Tough break for a 32 year old DT. He's always been a good player.

Yes, a 110 yard field.
-
Feel sorry for the players who are affected, but I never really watched it myself.

BILLS 1. Stefon Diggs becomes the first Bills WR to have more than 1,200 yards in a season since Lee Evans in 2006. 2. Moss has a Karlos Williams-esque rookie year. 3. Ed Oliver will have 12 or more sacks. 4. Tre White will win DPOY. 5. The Bills will be top 5 both defensively and offensively in the NFL. NFL 1. The Bengals will win 8 games. 2. San Francisco will not make the playoffs. 3. Houston will finish below .500 and be 3rd in their division. 4. KC will have a SB hangover and have to battle all the way to Week 17 for the division. 5. Ben Ro will win Comeback Player Of The Year as he leads Pittsburgh to the AFC North division itle.

I think they'll make the playoffs, but I think the division is going to be a dog fight this year with Pittsburgh. Ben has some nice weapons on that offense. A quality RB group lead by Conner, a good group of WR's (watch out for Claypool to make an impact year one), and they picked up Ebron to play TE who is just a year removed from a 66 rec for 750 yds with 13 TD campaign. Their defense was already stout and with Ben under Center the offense looks to have a bounce-back year as well.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29674110/ohio-state-qb-justin-fields-starts-petition-relaunch-big-ten-season They should just let the kids opt out who want to opt out. If the rest want to play then they should let them play.

Especially if they are legitimately expecting a reduction in the salary cap to $175-$180 mill next year. -

Can't say the guy isn't deserving. He's been a monster both blocking and receiving. Hopefully he passed on a lot to Knox during the workouts this offseason.
