  1. I just don't see us investing heavily in another CB at this point. I think we may sign another guy or two, but it will be scenarios like the one with Kevin Johnson last season.
  2. Highly doubt that, but I'm sure it is going to provide some immediate cap relief for them.
  3. I take it this means they are out on Blake Martinez?
  4. This is where I am at as well. I think Freeman was a product of the offensive scheme as you see with all of the RB's in SF right now. Would much rather have Howard.
  5. Jordan Howard would be a solid addition to our RB group. It would also fill a need which would free them up to move around their draft capital to get the guys they are truly targeting. I honestly think this is what will happen this year. I think we make moves in FA, re-sign our own, and condense our 9 picks to 4 or 5 guys they are truly after. Let the fun begin.
  6. How crazy would that be on the Texans' part? The guy is about to be 28, in the prime of his career, and one of the 3 best WR's in the league for sure. Just doesn't make any sense.

  8. Also some kind of mental health problems as well I believe.
  9. https://www.nbcsports.com/video/nfl-free-agency-san-francisco-49ers-out-tom-brady-bucs-patriots-left Seems Tommy boy doesn't have the suitors he thought he would. I hope he goes back to NE and they fall flat while he takes a beating behind that OL next year like he hasn't taken in the last 20. His pride leads me to believe he will go to Tampa and try to "prove" it was him, not BB or the system.
  10. Next up, Derrick Henry eclipsing Elliott's contract.
  11. That's what I was just about to say, just a 50 vote margin. That's 51.5% that voted yes.
  12. Seriously? This guy doesn't have a highlight reel of himself and has to look to outside sources?
  13. Didn't click the link. Hopefully she said no.
  14. I called this in the Diggs thread a month ago, that they could do this to open up a quick $20,000,000 in cap space and was always more likely to happen than trading Diggs.
  15. They are not the same type of player physically, but Shaq PRODUCED on the field the same number of tackles for loss (13), 1.5 less sacks, was only 9 total tackles behind Yannick, and had 18 QB hits to Ngakoue's 15 in 320 LESS DEFENSIVE SNAPS. It's not all due to the back end of the defense. Murphy is not the better player, especially when you watch the two having to move around in space. Murphy looks dreadful lumbering around out there. The staff likes him though and he is a decent rotational option. I think you could see Frazier and McDermott's trust grow with Lawson as the season went along which is why he started to get more PT as the season progressed. You can see how they used him in the attachment below. I think they want him back and I believe he will see the field a lot more in 2020 if he is.
  16. Three years for $15,000,000 is a solid deal imo. We surely didn't overpay and he was solid last year. I don't think this excludes us from adding another guy or two via FA and the draft either. Beane is all about value and you can never have enough quality OL players because injuries happen.
  17. Yeah, but I take the "4L❤" as "For Life" so hopefully meaning an extension is about to be announced.
  18. I am still holding out hope we re-sign Lawson. He has turned into a solid all-around player in this defense. He had 6.5 sacks to Ngakoue's 8 sacks, but in 320 less defensive snaps.
  19. DC Tomiavelli
  20. Face Time for interviews and looking like our scouts better have earned their money this year on the trail.
  21. Yolo, I didn't see much of the Ohio St./Clemson game. Did Okudah stay with Higgins that game? If so how did he look? I see the box score where he only had 4 catches for 33 yards, but I also know that Ohio St. had Lawrence under a lot of pressure which forced him to run with the ball.
  22. McDermott Face Timing Brandon Beane right now
  23. Wherever he goes I will root for him individually, even if I do not like the team necessarily. Be that Michigan, Ohio St., or wherever. I do know that he doesn't really have any interest in my homer squad, Notre Dame. He's a bright young man and impossible not to like if you ever get the chance to have a conversation with him. He talks to the younger kids in the youth football league, takes pictures, and offers his wisdom to them which I find exceptional for a young man his age with a sort of "super stardom" in this area. He's still grounded. I expect great things next year in HS, in college, and beyond.
