  1. A day forever etched in the memories of those who are old enough to remember. I remember where I was at, who I was with, hearing about the North Tower being hit, and then watching the South Tower happen live. When I look at our country today, at this very moment, it's easy to see how many people have already forgotten or were not raised with reverence of any kind to where they truly understand.
  2. Happy birthday SDS and thank you for all that you do around here to keep this place running for us Bills fans.
  3. Yeah, just like Gronk throwing all his weight behind his bionic arm while diving into the back of Tre White's helmet. The NFL really took a stand there.
  4. Yeaaahhhhh, no. I think I thoroughly explained my thought process after the post you chose to quote.
  5. Is that another man or a taco?!?!?! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
  6. Sorry for your loss my friend. May your friend rest peacefully. Thank you for sharing. Not a soul on here will fault you one bit for honoring him.
  7. I think it's stupid, but they believe that somehow it will help keep viewers more interested. Time will tell.
  8. Spags after he created this thread
  9. I actually prepared myself for it mentally tbh because I didn't know how all of this would play out. It would have definitely been different to not have Saturday's with Notre Dame football and Sunday's with Bills football, but not having an NCAA Basketball Tourney this year really made everything sink in for me. It also gave me time to get out and do a bunch of different things with my kids that we typically wouldn't do together as often as we have the last few months. Their life was school, video games, and doing whatever on the weekends with their friends usually outside of going to theme parks or recreational type places. When school and hanging out with their friends all the time was taken away we started doing a lot of things together that we didn't do as often anymore. Things were changing because they were getting older and life does that to kids as they get into their teens. In some ways the pandemic has brought us all closer again, even though many of the other lingering effects are still a pain in the nuggets. I will enjoy it while it lasts because they are only young for so long and then adulthood happens for them as well.
  10. I'm sure I am a bit on the optimistic side, but I think the continuity that we have on both sides of the ball is going to be huge for us. Especially in the beginning of the year without having had a preseason. I also see Moss as a sizable upgrade over Frank Gore. Throw in Diggs clearing space out even more for Beasley, Brown, and Knox? Boom!!!
  11. Honestly, I expect a balanced attack with our team putting up around 450yds of total offense. Somewhere between 150-175yds rushing and 250-300yds passing. Bills 34 - Jets 16
  12. I've just found other things I like to do more than spend every waking moment in front of the television just because a game, any game, is on. I'll be at the gym with my sons during the first half of the game more than likely and then preparing for my work day tomorrow when I get home. Covid and the ensuing effects have shown me that I really don't care about sports in general as much as I thought I did. I will still watch my favorite teams play and root for them, but the luster of it all has definitely faded. I used to have like 3 FF leagues every year as well up until this year, but now I'm only in one and halfway could care less about that as well. If that doesn't make sense to some? Oh well, and by no means am I directing that as a slight at you my friend. Just saying in general.
  13. He's proven he can improve as evidenced by looking at his play from 2018 and comparing it to 2019. It's not a free pass. I think everyone is encouraged by the reports coming out of camp and the feeling that he is going to make a similar leap from year two to three as he did from one to two.
  14. Nope, serious. Not that amped about it. Could care less who wins. No vested interests whatsoever.
  15. Meh, the Chiefs and the Texans. I'll probably watch my first game on Saturday when ND takes the field. I'll watch the Bills week in and week out, but I really ain't as amped about the rest of the NFL slate at this point.
  16. Harry, Butler, Oliver, Jefferson, Epenesa, and Addison will all do just fine rotating on the interior. You saw how many times Lorax was thrown into the middle last year on passing downs. I would expect more of the same this year with the group we have. Harry can do the same thing as Star, only he's got more juice in pushing the pocket. Butler is 6'4", 330lbs, hard to move off the LOS, is coming off of his best year as a pro, and is in a familiar system. I honestly believe our run defense will be better this year, as well as our pass rush.
  17. He finally caught the taco and has found peace in his retinas.
  18. They always seem to be right up against it cap wise and have had more than a couple of "wtf" contracts they've handed out.
  19. Soon to be the Rams' FO....
  20. Gotta love this soft new world we are living in today
  21. Gase giving the pep talk for week 1 in a team meeting
  22. Not sure as to the exact science of it all, but this is from an article last year. https://www.businessinsider.com/madden-20-player-rating-process-adjusters-2019-7#:~:text=The "Madden" development team uses, scouting reports and game footage.
  23. Dang it, you are absolutely correct. I didn't even flip to the 2nd page. They have him better than Kyler Murray, Jarred Goff, Fitz, Darnold, Daniel Jones, Haskins, Burrow, Bridgewater, Trubisky, Drew Lock, and Tyrod whom they have at 69 OVR (And I would see Kaep as being closer to him at this point than an 81 OVR). My error in saying Josh was the lowest rated starter, as he is not. They have him somewhere around 20th.
