Didn't we have some kind of restriction about people starting threads who just joined?

I think he excels out there. They already had a good defense before him.

I honestly think Foles could end up looking more Philly-esque in Chicago. Nagy and Pederson are both from the Andy Reid coaching tree so I'm sure they communicate with one another. Look for Chicago to have a similar system in place as Philly had to see if Foles can rekindle any of that magic. My money would be on the under of 4 starts for Trubisky this year.

This was my thought as well and it's not likely he'll see much action @ RB anyway.

Solid get for the Falcons. I was thinking Chaisson for them in the draft, but with this move and the release of Trufant now I am almost certain they take a CB.
-
Oh, so they did sign Mariota?

I can see Gruden getting pissed enough at Carr by week 3 that he plays Peterman the rest of the year knowing that the pick will be secured (not only multiple times by the defense, but in the draft as well).

Panthers releasing former pro bowl safety Eric Reid

Reid will catch on somewhere else pretty quick. He's a solid player and only 28. edit: He also may not have wanted to be part of the rebuild, not liking the direction the team has taken. -

Titans trade Jurrell Casey to Broncos

It's most likely the $$$. I know the guarantees are up after this year, but probably a lot of teams didn't want to take the cap hit for this season. -

They swung for the fences and missed on most of the key guys they were initially after. The NJ Jets are going to be a hard sell to anyone as long as Gase is HC after the way they treated players last season, the locker room unrest, the trade deadline fiasco, and the way they handled players with injuries (fines and telling them to put off surgeries). I'm good with that. I hope they re-up Gase for another 5 years. -

Typical arrogant POS Bill O'Brien bubbling up again. Houston better give this guy a pink slip before he COMPLETELY destroys that organization. He's getting close to it now. The one guy left I could see wanting no parts of that place would be Watson and if it comes to that they will be bottom feeders like the Browns/Lions were for a long time.

It's early my friend, extremely early. I'd almost expect Dawkins and Milano to get done prior to White. I'm not saying that White is greedy, but I'm sure he and his agent want to maximize his value. His contract will almost certainly surpass Byron Jones now and I believe he may be waiting for the $$$ to get spread out to a couple of other guys as well, Harris and Slay possibly. Tre's deal will make him the highest paid CB in the league when it happens. Again though we have seen that Beane takes care of our own, the guys they really want here, with the Jordan Poyer extension. Last year it was with Hughes. This is one regime that I completely have faith in when it comes to taking care of our core players.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Belichick retires

That would be fantastic. Can you imagine the "Pats*** Nation" meltdown? It would be a most epic scene. -
It truly depends on how quickly things get under control and back to a sense of normalcy. Football is a welcomed distraction right now for us sports fans who have already watched everything else be cancelled. This is usually one of the greatest times of the year with March Madness in full swing and the NFL offseason kicking in. Baseball would gearing up. Instead we are faced with some harsh realities. Life is interrupted. We have friends and family members affected by things out of our control. People are losing jobs left and right at this stage, others are being sent home with no income for weeks on end. It's a mad time in this world right now, one like my eyes have never seen. People are fighting in stores and on the streets for basic necessities because one feels they need to hoard while others have nothing. As much as I want to be excited about the coming season, and part of me still is, it's hard not to be focused on everything going on around us and realize this could change the entirety of everything as a whole beyond the postponement of all the sporting spectacles we all look forward to.

What?!?!?! You wouldn't want this guy as the face of your franchise for the next few years?
