  1. With the 55th pick in the 2020 NFL draft the Baltimore Ravens select Julian Okwara, DE, Notre Dame. We needed some pass rush juice and it came down to Terrell Lewis and Julian Okwara. Both are solid prospects. Aside from the length, bend, and burst he has off of the edge, Okwara has the frame where he can still add another 8-10lbs as well. Not only can he get after the QB, but he plays the run as equally well and has shown the ability to drop in coverage. We just feel like Okwara is the more complete player for a defense at this time. IOL in the 1st and DE/OLB in the 2nd. @NewEra the Dolphins are now on the clock.
  2. Probably so as far as being the better receiver out of the backfield, but they are still very similar RB's when you compare the two overall. It's like the same guy with one having better hands and one being more agile than the other.
  3. Diggs and Brown outside, Beasley and Claypool running from the slot, occasionally swap Diggs or Brown and Claypool, and then Knox at TE in 4 WR sets? This O would be unstoppable Virgil. Who are you going to double cover? How are you gonna scheme to stop all of these guys? It would be a constant nightmare for opposing defenses and DC's, especially if Josh is making the correct hot reads more consistently this year.
  4. RB's stats on a different team, in a different offense, do not matter in relation to what we are trying to do. A lot of it does come down to where Josh goes with the ball and the play calling in general. Devin's usage as a receiver in college can also be attributed to FAU's offense as can CEH to LSU's. Between the two lead backs at FAU they had a total of 16 receptions. There were 80 completions to RB's this year at LSU with of course CEH getting the lion's share as the lead dog in the backfield. Look up the scouting reports on the two and you will see A LOT of similarities all noted in the previous post. Outside of CEH's usage in the pass game at LSU and Singletary being the more agile of the two, they are pretty much the same guy.
  5. Yeah, they pretty much are the same skillset. Both are more shifty than fast. Both are on the smallish side. Both can catch the ball, though Josh and the play calling determine how many times it is thrown their way. With both being on the smallish side the catch radius is fairly small as well. It doesn't really matter what the stats are for RB's on other teams because of the previous statement about Josh and the play calling. Their scouting reports heading into the draft echo a lot of the same pro's and con's, with Singletary being recognized as the more agile of the two and CEH running with a bit more power.
  6. Claypool hit the 25 mark 1st even though we are at 27 a piece for he and CEH right now. (Now 28-27 Claypool @Virgil) There's a LOOOONG thread about him. I'm an ND fan so I admit to bias for their players, but I truly believe Claypool will be an impact WR in the NFL.
  7. We just mock drafted another midget RB who has the exact same skillset as Singletary.
  8. Nope, just happy to be getting closer to my next selection.
  9. Let's talk about what's coming up for Josh this year with Diggs. 300 yard passing games just for TSW ✔ 4000 yards passing in a season ✔ 30+ passing TD's in a season ✔ At least a 63% completion rate ✔ Talk of Josh for MVP ✔ Get ready Bills fans
  10. Alohi Gilman / S / Notre Dame - I've seen people with him all over their draft boards from the 3rd-7th Rounds. Hard to say where he will go. I think he should fall in the 3-4 category. He kind of reminds me of Poyer only he'll hit like Bob Sanders and doesn't miss tackles. Because he is so aggressive at times he will occasionally not be where he should be on his deeper zone assignments. This can be coached out of him though. I think whoever gets him will have a quality starting S for the next 8-10 years.
  11. Not moving as swiftly today
  12. He's putting together another excel sheet. Trust me, those things can be time consuming.
  13. Devante Parker ate Gilmore alive. Parker is not as good a route runner as Diggs. Gilmore benefited from BB's defensive scheme and the players they had up front. This year he will again be shown to be above average, not elite like he thinks himself to be.
  14. People hate Josh Allen because McDermott didn't draft Mahomes or Watson in 2017. He and then GM Doug Whaley traded back so at that slot we ended up selecting Tre White. People hate him because he is not either of those two. People hate Josh Allen because they feel he is too reckless at times. The hero ball, the picks, the fumbles, and having to run for his life on occasion instead of being able to make a miraculous throw every time a play breaks down. He cleaned up the picks in a big way after the NE game, still had the occasional fumble while on a designed run or running for his life, and pretty much cut down on the hero ball until he made some dumb decisions in the playoff game. People hate Josh because he still leaves some plays on the field. We can all admit we have seen Josh be inaccurate at times, whether it be on a deep pass, in the flats, or on an intermediate route. Sometimes it's due to pressure, sometimes his base isn't right, and sometimes it's just a bad throw. He also doesn't see the open man on occasion because he doesn't identify the defense correctly. He did however take a big step forward from year one to year two in these areas. People hate Josh because he's not Lamar Jackson and hasn't had the same success early on in his career as Jackson. This falls in line with the same as the Mahomes/Watson crowd. You know, the message board GM's who just know these QB's would be doing the same or even better here if the Bills had drafted them. Last year was the first year (being Allen's 2nd season) where he actually had some decent weapons on offense, but even with that you saw some of those weapons making key drops to stall drives and prevent points being put on the board be it 6 or just having a shot at 3. People hate Josh just because that's what people do. They'll find something negative to talk about even if he goes 20-20 for 299yds with 2 TD's in a W. "He didn't throw for 300", "If he throws the ball to so and so he has another TD", "He tucked the ball and ran when he didn't have to on this play", they'll never be satisfied. They just love to piss and moan no matter what. Josh has all the upside in the world. He makes some throws out there that just make you say "WOW!", throws that only a couple other QB's in this league can make. If he takes the same kind of step forward from year 2 to 3 as he did from 1 to 2 then most of the hate he gets will dissipate, but notice I said most. He has a legit #1 now in Diggs, we have kept continuity while continuing to build the depth of the OL, and we have some young players who hopefully take another step forward along with Josh. I, for one, am glad we have him and I truly believe the future is bright around here not only for him, but for our team in general and all of us fans who love our Bills.
  15. With the 28th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select Cesar Ruiz, C, University of Michigan. The retirement of Marshall Yanda hurt. This offense is predicated on running the football and Ruiz is a vicious interior OL'man in that respect. He's a two time All Big Ten performer who will fit in with our offense well. He also has the flexibility to play G which is where he will be starting for us week 1. @Philo and the Titans are on the clock.
  16. @NewEra you are on the clock once again my friend.
  17. I mean Watkins has taken home $32,000,000 the last couple of years and will get another $9,000,000 this year at least. It's not a bad haul and he got a ring. Can't be mad at that.
  18. Well, that's the kiss of death. It's like finding out Eddie Mush just bet one the same horse as you.
  19. I know we haven't advanced in the playoffs yet, but Beane/McDermott have torn it down and built this thing from the ground up basically in 3 years, while still making the playoffs 2 out of those 3, and after a 17 year drought. It's amazing to think we have a top tier organization, FO, and staff at this point, but it is becoming a reality my friends and fellow Bills fans.
  20. Dang, I didn't make the cut.
  21. Are you suggesting he may have been "pulled" in this direction?
