Week 2 Power Rankings / Are we actually getting Respect?
H2o replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, Simms has been on the Bills/Allen bandwagon for a while now. Simms is alright, but Florio is just an arrogant douche nozzle. -
Week 2 Power Rankings / Are we actually getting Respect?

Well, the source is all you need to know. I watched the video last week where he and Simms were making the picks. I almost spit my coffee out laughing when he picked the Jets. -
Bills not coming out for National Anthem
H2o replied to DE Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly didn't even cut the game on until it was about 2 minutes into the first quarter. All I saw was a normal broadcast. Then I hit the mute button when they got on the soap box for a minute or two. -
Browns figured out why they lost to the Ravens
H2o replied to richNjoisy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To this point, I couldn't have been more wrong about Baker Mayfield. I thought Mayfield was going to be a Drew Brees type of QB. He seemed to be able to make every throw, to all levels of the field, and accurately in college. The one thing I was wrong about the most was how I thought he saw the field. I thought that reading defenses and going through his progressions was something he did well, but I think it's just another testament to that Lincoln Riley system at OU. He's definitely holding that team back with all of the talent they have on that roster. -
If you're looking for perfection you will never find it. He's never going to make the perfect throw or perfect decision every time he drops back in the pocket. No QB ever has or ever will game in and game out. There were 33 completions on 46 passes and a lot of those came from him standing in the pocket. The fact that he is able to read the defense pre-snap, adjust protections, and audible into plays that attacked the weakness of the defense is light years ahead of where he was when he took the field as a rookie. Every QB sits in the film room on a weekly basis and sees what he could have done different. It's what you do and try to learn from it. His footwork is way better than it was two seasons ago, the touch he is putting on the ball is way better than it was two seasons ago, and his understanding of the NFL game is way better than it was two seasons ago. Once he cleans up the fumbles you have a legitimate MVP candidate. Like I said, you can nitpick every little detail you want, but even Stevie Wonder can see that Josh is getting better.

The offense had 31 First Downs. 17 of those were on passing plays, 8 were rushing, and 6 from penalties. Two of those penalties were on PI calls and one a Holding call in the endzone. Josh took what the defense gave him all day, kept the chains moving, and showed improvement as a passer. Those who continue to nitpick at every single detail of his game, even when he is clearly improving and we are WINNING, will do so even if he ends up hoisting a Lombardi in a Bills uni. He's never going to be perfect. There will never be beautiful rainbows trailing off the back end of the football with every pass he throws. He will however end up being the best QB to ever don a Bills jersey other than Jim Kelly.

Tua is on deck Fitz-hat-trick of INT's Squish the got Phish -
Matekevich is probably on the same athletic plane as Klein so it really doesn't help. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marlowe on the field giving us a 3rd in the box type Safety on the field this week tbh, especially if Edmunds is out as well and Dodson has to man the middle.

From day 1 when Josh stepped onto the football field to take the snaps there was a different energy about this team. Not only he does the offense rally around him, but the defense seems to rally around him as well. He gives you everything he's got on every play. It's contagious. You see it and you can feel it. The whole vibe of the team changed once he lined up under Center.

I've said this multiple times on here that Gase was not only going to waste the years of Darnold while he was coach, but possibly even ruin him as a QB in general. I know he's not elite or anything, but look at Tannehill after he escaped Adam Gase. Pretty much everyone thought he was gonna be a backup at best for the rest of his career. He goes to Tennessee and earns himself a nice contract after having a career season. Yes he has some great talent around him, but his demeanor and play on the field was night/day in relation to Miami/Tennessee.

Darnold has been terrible when under pressure since his days at USC. Darnold also doesn't have much of a receiving group in NY. Gase is also the head coach and that guy is terrible. Darnold hasn't been put in a position to succeed where Josh has. The question is how much time will the Jets give him? Will they give him a pass because of Gase and start over again next year with a new staff or will he be one contract and done?

Bills release their social justice message
H2o replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now I'm watching Notre Dame and there has been no political force feeding or anything else thrown into the broadcast thus far. I hope it's just like this tomorrow with the Bills broadcast. Ending racism starts with the individual. It is our own heart we are responsible for. If you have children then you are responsible for training them in the way they should go. Other than that, the way you treat others is how you will be known. I treat all people the same, with kindness and respect regardless of skin color. I do random acts of kindness for people I don't know. Not for a pat on the back, but because it's what I feel led to do. If you would see me in person I am a shaved bald white guy, with a few tats, and a stocky build because I hit the gym 4 days a week. Easy to be stereotyped and I have been on numerous occasions. It hasn't changed who I am and I just let my actions speak for me. My kids don't look up to athletes because I have explained to them why they shouldn't and I also show them what a man is supposed to be. I show them how they are to treat people and the value of responsibility. They have seen the results first hand of my hard work and endurance through all situations, both in my professional life and my home life, and we have seen both terribly hard times as well as good. I teach them to be leaders and not followers of the latest crowds or fads. If more men were like myself then the world would be a better place, and please don't take that statement as any sort of arrogance because I am not in any way. I just know the importance of a father in their children's lives and the example which must be set. I say all of this to get to the point that I don't have time for people to dictate to me who deserves reverence. I don't have time for people to dictate to me that because of my skin color somehow I have an advantage or have received any sort of preferential treatment. I'm not sorry for how I was born so I will not apologize, or grovel, or submit to a mob trying to tell me otherwise. I have lived my life and know that is not the case, both in everyday life and in dealing law enforcement. I don't support BLM and I don't support all the rest of the mess that has ensued behind it since May. If the broadcast tomorrow is full of this same activity which I just outlined then I won't be watching again. With how Corona gave me a different perspective on things I would imagine that I will adjust just fine if that happens to be the case. You can say whatever you want about anything I just said as well. It is of no consequence to me because though we all share interaction on this board, none of this has any sort of direct effect upon my personal life. To each their own. Their own opinion, their own stances, and their own life to live. Enjoy your Saturday everyone and hopefully the Bills mop the Jets tomorrow. -

Draft gurus: Mekhi Becton vs Jerry Hughes?
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Becton is a hell of an athlete for his size. Jerry is a savvy vet though, who uses his hands well, and has a variety of pass rushing moves. Another thing that will help is Hughes is 100% healthy. I expect Jerry to win some and lose some. The one thing that does worry me is Hughes vs Becton in the running game. The guy absolutely mauled people at Louisville so our LB's and Safeties need to take proper angles and be sure tacklers on Sunday. -
Bills have weapons to be elite offense
H2o replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our offense has all the world of potential. We have very good players at every skill position. We have a solid OL that already has continuity. What we need is for Allen to continue to show improvement while being consistent and for Daboll to not continually make head-scratching play calls, especially on 3rd downs or when we get up by a couple of scores. McDermott also needs to keep his hands out of the offense because we can all tell when McClappy turns into McConservative and tells Daboll to call the game as such. Our foot needs to be on the gas for the entire 60 minutes week in and week out. -
A day forever etched in the memories of those who are old enough to remember. I remember where I was at, who I was with, hearing about the North Tower being hit, and then watching the South Tower happen live. When I look at our country today, at this very moment, it's easy to see how many people have already forgotten or were not raised with reverence of any kind to where they truly understand.

Happy birthday SDS and thank you for all that you do around here to keep this place running for us Bills fans.

Yeah, just like Gronk throwing all his weight behind his bionic arm while diving into the back of Tre White's helmet. The NFL really took a stand there.

Adam Gase on playing the Bills defense: “It’s chaotic”

Is that another man or a taco?!?!?! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
