To me Josh Allen is a more athletic, stronger armed version of Roethlisberger. Ben Ro displayed that clutch gene many of times, their stature is the same, and some of the throws are eerily similar. He does however have that Brett Favre-esque love for the game where Ben has typically been less emotional. The young man is special either way and the results we see on the field are just scratching the surface of the potential we drafted him for.

The Eagles stuck with the wrong QB, their defense is bad, and the OL fell apart almost seemingly overnight. The Redskins are in a rebuild mode and have some nice pieces on defense. I know they spent a 1st on Haskins and this is only his 2nd year, but I don't think he is the answer long term. The talent level on this roster overall is not good by any means outside of that defensive front. The Cowboys are still the Cowboys no matter who the coach is. They are loaded with talent everywhere, but they always underachieve. Dak, though being a solid QB, almost always shrinks on the field in the biggest of moments for them. The Giants? Geez, they're on the same level as their NY counterparts the Jets. It's early in Judge's coaching career, and they lost Saquon, but dang this is a bad team. I don't know what to think about Jones because they basically have nothing around him. The NFCE is on par with the rest of everything else we've seen in 2020, in every facet of life in general for the most part, a complete and utter show.

This is the biggest screw job I've ever witnessed, bigger than any the Pats were ever handed. This is crazy. -

That INT bs call completely changed this game. A ridiculous call that even Pop Warner refs could have gotten right. The fact they upheld it after a review should cost him his job. Unreal. -

Inside track on Lawrence after 2 weeks?
H2o replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The top 5 in draft order will be: 1. NY Giants - The Giants could possibly not win a game all year without Saquon, but I think they luck into 1 or 2 wins. 2. Jacksonville Jaguars - This race for #1 will be neck and neck between the Giants/Jags, with the shocker in week 1 being why they end up #2. 3.Carolina Panthers - The Panthers have a tough road as well, but this was expected because they are rebuilding. 4. NY Jets - They will win too many to get Lawrence, but lose enough to have another top 5 pick to squander. 5. Detroit Lions - Patricia was a DC? Could have fooled me. This team needs to be completely dismantled and they need to start over. -

Could Mahomes vs Allen be the next....

If the Jets get the #1 pick it will MOST DEFINITELY be Lawrence. Whoever gets the #1 pick for that matter it will be Lawrence. -

Giants sign Devonta Freeman with Barkley out

Meh, Freeman looked washed up after Shanahan left. Or maybe it was Shanahan who made Freeman? Every RB that steps into his offensive scheme produces. -
The Draft Network breakdown of Josh Allen deep ball in 2020
H2o replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The throw that absolutely epitomizes his growth is the long throw down the right sideline to Diggs. Last video of the bunch. His pre-snap read is Man with a Safety over top. He snaps the ball, looks immediately to the left like he's going through a couple of reads, snaps back to the right, and fires a ball out for Diggs as soon as the Safety slides towards the middle of the field. He is not only reading the defense, but he is manipulating defenders with his eyes now.- 21 replies

The switch to Brandon Staley, who learned under Fangio in Denver and Chicago, seems to have injected some life into that defense. In their first two games they have held the opposing teams under 20 points. It's the same scheme Denver was running for the Peyton Manning years. The fact that they are keeping Goff clean on drop backs is also helping the offense as he is off to a hot start. This is why I said in my original post that getting pressure on Goff, especially from the interior, is the key to the game. He starts seeing ghosts if you bang him around in the pocket. McVay is one of the most intelligent coaches in the NFL though and he will surely attack our weak LB group if we are without Edmunds/Milano once again. Higbee is every bit as talented a Gesicki, who just ate us alive last week. Gerald Everett has been known to turn in the occasional as well. The prospects of Levi Wallace trying to hang with either Kupp or Woods also doesn't seem that ideal. The Rams tend to play with more pace than either the Jets or the Dolphins so I worry about our guys getting gassed again, only this time facing a more talented overall group. I'm not saying we are going to get blown out because I believe our offense can score points this year, but I am not at the point where I am overly confident thinking that we are just going to handle everyone on the schedule. We have a much tougher road in 2020 and this is the first big test. With a healthy Edmunds and Milano I do believe we win by 10. Without them I believe in the best case scenario it will be a nail biter that hopefully Josh can go Captain Clutch again to pull off for us somehow.
