If the shoulder is good. I think it's part of the reason he hasn't been running the last few weeks. He doesn't want to risk taking that shot or that awkward fall unless he absolutely has to. I also feel like the fumbles are in his head a bit, similar to the way the INT's were last year after the Pats game.

The only time I will ever talk trash about the Pats is when we have the most current Lombardi in our possession. Until then nothing else matters.

It's nice to be able to hand the ball off to an elite 6'3", 250lb running back as well. Not taking away from what Tannehill has done, but it goes along with "the right situation" theme. AJ Brown is a grown man at WR also.

Never underestimate the power of escaping Adam Gase. This could be the greatest blessing in disguise for Darnold if and when it happens.

We weren't going to win every game. We will still likely lose 4 more. The defense is still the most troubling aspect of this team. The last couple of years we have been mainly healthy, especially at key positiions. This year we have some important players missing time, as well as some others who opted out due to Covid concerns. Hopefully this team is playing it's best football on both sides of the ball and healthy heading into January. After that all bets are off and it's a one game season every time we step on the field.

A 6th or 7th would likely get it done. We need the depth. If the Titans will do it for that? Sure. If they are trying to get higher than a 6th? Nope.

Another thing that I believe is showing up is the loss of Lorax. He may not have been on the field for every single play, but the guy was in a way the heart and soul of this defense. You would see him talking to people on the field and on the sidelines explaining situations to them. A LOT of knowledge went out the door when he retired.

The defense has some real problems right now. Missing Star, the constant TSW whipping boy, has hurt the DL. Not having White, Milano, and Wallace showed big time. Edmunds doesn't seem to be healthy and at the same time is making the same mental errors he did as a rookie. Our blitz packages are the least creative and easy to read in the league as they always do exactly what they show you pre-snap. The offense isn't going to be able to carry us every single week. Tonight there were some bad drops, they clearly missed John Brown, the running game is non-existent, and it was like once the momentum shifted right before half it was lights out. We have a lot of work to do and the toughest part of our schedule on deck. We need to get healthy and McD/Frazier have to figure this defense out if we want to host a playoff game.

21 is "late in the game"? Yeah, not really.

I mean he's only 21. Maybe the switch to OLB is needed at this point. He is just too undisciplined to play in the middle. Playing outside would hide some of his flaws.

I wouldn't be opposed to Bell if he comes on the cheap. Maybe he comes here to stick it to Gase too? Who knows. Our RB group is quite underwhelming at this time.

We truly miss Star on that DL. I know Oliver misses him taking up two blockers. Edmunds? Sheesh, I got nothing.
