  1. Hmmmmmmm, some QB sounds a bit arrogant and butthurt at the same time.
  2. Well, well, well, I get to speak on a former Notre Dame player. Seriously though, Okwara had a solid 2018 with 7.5 sacks and a number of QB pressures. In 2019 he battled through some things and had a down year. Then, in 2020, he put it all together. He had 10 sacks, 31 pressures, 10 QB hits, and 10 knockdowns. If you watch the film he has a quick first step, uses a number of pass rush moves, and is always ripping at the ball when he gets to the QB. He is also solid against the run and is effective lining up on either end of the DL. He honestly reminds me of a younger Jerry Hughes, but he seems to close out better. He's only 25. In the offseason scenario thread I created I had us signing him for 4yrs $32M with $24M guaranteed. The price tag might end up being $1M-$2M higher per year, not sure with the market.
  3. At the absolute latest he will go early in the 4th Round.
  4. I don't know. I've heard on here many times about how Beane sucks in the draft and has only hit on Josh Allen. The people on here have to know it all, right?
  5. I wouldn't rank him higher than Burrow either, but I do believe he is going to be good. Burrow was probably the most accurate deep ball passer I've ever seen.
  6. respect from the resident TSW Notre Dame homer By the way, I like the draft. Leatherwood, Jones, Fields, Joseph, this would be rock solid imo.
  7. Ok, I went and watched some games of Zach Wilson to really dig into what Simms was saying. I watched him against Boise St., against Coastal Carolina, against Western Kentucky, and against Louisiana Tech (all the BYU offensive possessions). I remember hearing a knock on Wilson is that he was like Manziel, minus the party boy lifestyle. That he's basically out there just winging it on the field. In some instances when plays break down, maybe. But he looks like he's out there actually processing what the defense is doing, not just relying on his athleticism like JM. I watched him hang a ball 60 yards in the air with pinpoint accuracy, even though his WR slowed up causing it to be incomplete. He throws from different arm angles. He looks off defenders. He uses that little shoulder pump fake like Josh does. He puts the ball in the perfect place for his receivers almost every time. The only time he's really missing his guy is when he throws off his back foot fading away or sometimes on the run. He stands in the pocket keeping a good base most of the time as well when protection allows. He definitely needs to add about 10lbs to his frame for the NFL, but that shouldn't be a problem. In summary I still don't know if I would take him over Lawrence, but this kid does look like he's gonna be special. He does have a Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers type feel to his game. I am now hoping and praying both the Jets and Dolphins are stupid enough to pass on him because I don't want him in the AFC East for the next 15 years. This kid is gonna be good.
  8. Yes, but are the Jets going to take a QB is the question. They could instead think that Darnold was just a product of Gase the last two years and look to add weapons in the draft. It's going to be interesting to see how the first 3 picks play out. You know Jax is taking a QB, but both NY and Miami could justify taking one. I think Miami is less likely because they just drafted Tua, but you never know. Then you have Atlanta who obviously are looking towards their future, Carolina in need, San Fran I'm sure wants to upgrade, NE is in limbo, then you have Chicago, and Washington. It will be fun to watch the mad scramble and see how it all plays out.
  9. Teams do it ALL the time. They restructure to where the guy loses no money, but it opens up cap space as needed. It's for the cap hit to be spread out, but what they take home doesn't change. It's not really something that poses a problem if they choose to do it.
  10. Flip #1 and #2, but it's legit. I just don't think Wilson is the "clear cut" #1. Lawrence has been dominating the best schools in the nation for 3 years basically. But then you have a guy like Josh Allen come along, now everyone is thinking outside of the typical boxes that QB's have been put into. It's question asked in more like a "wtf" manner.
  11. I know we like Chris Simms, but this is crazy to me. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/03/zach-wilson-over-trevor-lawrence-chris-simms-says-yes/
  12. https://www.google.com/search?q=buffalo+bills+lunar+alternate+helmets&tbm Yeah, there are a ton of alternates
  13. But Beasley plays on a broken leg
  14. Because they didn't call Miss Cleo to find out there was going to be cap issues in 2021 due to Covid first.
  15. French Vanillaaaa, Rocky Road, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough Scoop!!! There it is. Scoop!!! There it is.
  16. He's not going to lose any money, neither him nor Dawkins. Just converting their base salary over to signing bonus so we can work the cap figures.
  17. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/02/j-j-watt-to-kyler-murray-im-here-because-i-believe-in-you/ Pssshhh Watt is there because Arizona offered him the most money.
  18. Between Hayes and Daryl Johnson I think we would be fine.
  19. Okwara is the immediate upgrade to Addison.
