  1. Or a big Safety who can bring the same things to the table. Trevon Moehrig - TCU Divine Deablo - Virginia Tech Hamsah Nasirildeen - Florida St.
  2. FAKE NEWS!!! FAKE NEWS, people!!! There was an EXTREMELY credible poster on this board who said he was taking his shovel to break ground on this long ago. What are we, in a time warp?
  3. Ran this one today. Accepted one trade with Atlanta allowing them to move up to 30 with me getting 35 & 167. If it fell this way our DL becomes a tough room to fit into. Buffalo Bills 35.Jaelan Phillips EDGE Miami (FL) 61.Daviyon Nixon DT Iowa 93.Nico Collins WR Michigan 121.Ambry Thomas CB Michigan 161.Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 167.Robert Hainsey OG Notre Dame 174.Tre McKitty TE Georgia 213.Javian Hawkins RB Louisville 236.Josh Ball OT Marshall
  4. Goodell: "With the 2nd pick in the 2021 NFL draft.... the New Yor Jets select....what tha fu.... KJ Costello.... QB.... Mississippi St."
  5. A LB, yes, but how is he on Special Teams?
  6. Yeah, you can't force your beliefs onto others. If anything that pushes them away. It reminds me of Cousins in Minnesota, how it caused a rift between him and some of the players.
  7. I get what he is talking about. Some people on here, others on websites/social media platforms I would read, and even some bobble-heads in the National Media were saying that Watson wanted out partly because the organization was being run by "Jesus Freaks". They were trying to demonize them because of their beliefs and talking like some cult had been formed within the organization. This led to Easterby being called the puppeteering cult leader. To your point though, yes, as of right now that organization is a tire fire. Some of it is still on O'Brien, some of it is on who's there now, and some of it is on Watson himself. I don't know who really would genuinely want to be there right now. We'll see how it plays out.
  8. JAG, he won't make the roster
  9. I watched every throw from like 6 of his games this year and I agree, the young man looks like he is going to be good. Even his incompletions for the most part aren't misses. He throws the ball from different angles as well as to fit them through the window he has. I also like Fields and don't think he is the typical Ohio St. QB we've seen as far as how his game will translate to the NFL. He's been fairly impressive at his Pro Day from what I'm hearing. I just saw a video on Instagram of him throwing a ball 65 yards in the air on a roll out. @YoloinOhio, you have a Twitter link for that one?
  10. Yes, absolutely. I know he's got the acceleration for sure.
  11. Fields might be that fast. Hard to say though with all of these outrageous Pro Day 40's.
  12. I still think the plan is to take a 1-Tech in the draft between Rounds 2-6. I fully expect one of the names below (not a ranking, just a listing) to be in a Bills uni next season. 1. Marvin Wilson - Florida St. 2. Tedarrell Slaton - Florida 3. Tyler Shelvin - LSU 4. Bobby Brown III - Texas A&M 5. Neil Farrell Jr. - LSU 6. Naquan Jones - Michigan St. 7. Khyiris Tonga - BYU Edit: This is just my preference, but I hope we take Bobby Brown III. This is a nice little breakdown of what he brings to the table, even though the commentary is meh.
  13. The Texans conspiracy theory of trying to attempt to damage Watson's reputation beyond repair is people grasping at straws. They're still trying to defend Watson for whatever reason they have chosen. If in fact Watson was never going to play another down for them then they would only hurt themselves as far as potential compensation in a trade. On top of that, if any of this was ever uncovered in any way, you're looking at the largest defamation suit in the history of professional sports. You're talking HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of $$$'s in total that would surely be granted to the plaintiff as well as possible criminal charges. It's just not reasonable to think that such a large number of people could collude together, seamlessly, with no flaws to expose the plot. Not buying it, not in the slightest. People are still innocent until proven guilty and Watson is looking like he will have his day in court. The stories of all plaintiffs involved, including the latest of one who isn't even represented by Buzbee, are all eerily similar and pretty damning though. Watson is headed for the exempt list, suspension, and then some pretty lengthy court proceedings I'd expect. This is not even taking into account the fact that criminal charges could still be levied against him as well. Like I said yesterday, his career could very well be over. If it's not over then I surely expect a 2 to 3 year disruption the further these things continue to downward spiral.
  14. And I understand your thinking on this. But at the same time I think the drop off from the first tier of WR's in this draft, which is still a position of need for the Bengals, is greater than the drop off in OL talent. In my opinion you have the #1 in Chase, 2a in Waddle, 2b in Smith, 3 in Terrace Marshall, and then the rest. It's HIGHLY likely that none of those guys will be on the board come #38, but there will be some high quality OL prospects all the way through the 3rd Round. The Bengals WR group is Higgins, Boyd, and Auden Tate. Higgins is a promising, young WR, yes. Boyd is solid. The rest though? The addition of Chase does wonders not only for Burrow, but for Higgins and Boyd where now all three guys can be interchanged in various sets depending on the route concepts. I just think the value of a true #1 in this draft, whom already noted has great chemistry with our young Franchise QB, is worth the selection when we can adequately address the OL in Rounds 2 & 3 with some REALLY good starting quality players to add to Reiff and Williams on that front.
  15. Who would've thought the Bengals would be the talk of the Mock draft. Seriously though, I feel Ja'Marr Chase is the best WR in this draft. He averaged an insane 21.2 yds per reception in 2019. He's got good size at 6'1" 208lbs, runs solid routes, and has that long speed to be a game breaker. He had more yards and TD's than Justin Jefferson who just broke the rookie record for receiving yards in a single season. The fact that he has chemistry with Burrow already, and the two do not have to learn each other, is a dynamic you can't underestimate as well. Chase will step on the field and be the immediate #1 in this offense. The OL has been addressed with Reiff in FA and Eichenberg in the 2nd Round. But if this draft were to continue, you would see the Bengals are not done setting up Burrow and Mixon for success. I really do feel that Eichenberg is slept on. How many OT's can say they haven't given up a sack in 33 straight games, even at the collegiate level? How many OT's can say their QB has only been hit 4 times due to their fault in almost 3 full seasons? Eichenberg also comes from an OL tree that has produced numerous All-Pro's over the last few years. He may not be seen in the same tier as Sewell, nor are the rest of the OT's, but there isn't a drop off between Eichenberg and the rest of the guys selected before him in this draft outside of Sewell. Jonah Williams played solid at LT last year in the 10 starts he made. This draft pick gives us options though. Williams @ LT, Eichenberg @ RT, and Reiff @ LG. You can flip Eichenberg and Williams. You can have Jonah slide to LG and move Reiff to RT. Any way you look at it, the Bengals OL is much better off at this point than it was at any other last season. Throw in Chase on top of that and we're suddenly an offense that's going to be a problem for teams to match up with.
  16. With the 38th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft... The Cincinnati Bengals select... Liam Eichenberg... Offensive Tackle... Notre Dame. Eichenberg is one of the most slept on OT's in this class. He started 38 games at LT during his Notre Dame career and hasn't given up a sack since September 29, 2018. That's 33 games in a row without giving up a sack. In that time he's had Brian Burns, Clellin Farrell with multiple other 5 star Clemson recruits, Josh Uche, Kwity Paye, Patrick Jones II, Rahsad Weaver, Janarius Robinson, Joshua Kaindoh, Victor Dimukeje, Chris Rumph, and many others line up across from him. No one got his QB to the ground by beating him in almost 3 full seasons. He's only allowed 4 QB hits in that time as well. Also, if you look at the Notre Dame rushing number this year, the left side of the OL (led by Eichenberg and Tremble) was always where Kyren Williams got loose. Burrow needs to be protected, Mixon needs lanes opened, and Eichenberg is just the man to do it. He will be one of the bookends on this OL for years to come. Jonah Williams, drafted in 2019, will be the other. The Carolina Panthers and @MAJBobby are on the clock.
  17. @BigdaddyinOrlando
  18. This is while needing back surgery as well?
  19. Yes, but I think it's just the precursor to the league suspension in this instance.
  20. @Buffalo716
  21. I'm not sure if he suits up ever again after this. If he does I think it may be two or three years down the line. At some point in the next month or two Goodell will put him on the exempt list, prior to TC.
  22. Kyle Pitts is "that guy" for many of these teams who will never have a shot at selecting him.
