  1. A full, semi-normal offseason is going to benefit both Singletary and Moss imo. Weight room, offseason workouts, Mini Camps, it's all going to make a difference. Does Singletary all of a sudden go from a 4.6 to a 4.45 guy? Highly unlikely. But when the season gets going, I am expecting two different players on the field. Throw in Breida who has that speed we didn't have before and I think our RB stable isn't as bad off as people make it out to be.
  2. Josh's rookie season the OL was a glaring weakness. Our starters were as follows: Dawkins (LT) - Ryan Groy (LG) - Russell Bodine (C) - Vlad Ducasse (RG) - Jordan Mills (RT) Depth: Conor McDermott, Wyatt Teller (made a mistake trading that one), Adam Redmond, John Miller, and Marshall Newhouse Outside of Dawkins, that was an absolutely atrocious OL. Offensive even. No wonder we have so many highlights of Josh absolutely running for his life during his rookie season. We made one mistake in not keeping Teller, but such is life. Now, going into Josh's 4th year, our starting lineup consists of: Dawkins (LT) - Ford/Lamp/Feliciano (LG) - Morse/Feliciano (C) - Ford/Lamp/Feliciano (RG) - Williams (RT) Depth: Ford/Lamp (depending on which one does not crack the starting lineup), Brown, Doyle, Bates, Boettger, Anderson It's night and day here with the talent level swing on the OL over the last 3 years. We have gone from it being one of the weakest spots on the team to one where us on the board are having convos about flipping guys for picks because there's just not enough room to keep them all. Beane and McDermott don't get enough credit in this area imo. The options we have for starters now and the depth behind them is really good. We also have guys with have the potential to plug in as starters at some point down the road over the course of their rookie contracts. Guys like Spencer Brown, Tommy Doyle, and Jack Anderson all have that potential according to all of the post-draft interviews I have seen. It's great "problem" to have.
  3. Without Rodgers, the Packers will be stuck in purgatory. They won't be contender and they won't lose enough to get a top QB prospect. Unless you believe Jordan Love is gonna be that good. I don't.
  4. I don't see CB as a problem. I like the young guys we have in Dane Jackson and Cam Lewis. Wildgoose looks like he fits the mold on defense. Levi will be used more in rotation imo, as I think Dane will be the starter, and serve as solid depth. Johnson isn't bad in the slot. The main thing is getting pressure on the QB. You get pressure on the QB and it makes ALL of your DB's look better. I expect Epenesa to take a step forward with a full offseason in the strength and conditioning program as well as being involved in workouts. I hope Rousseau comes in and gets to work. I have REALLY high expectations for Basham. If Rousseau turns out to be a hit then this front is going to be scary. Addison is more here for being the solid vet depth at this point. But if Hughes, Epenesa, Rousseau, and Basham are constantly being rotated with all of them getting after it? Whew. Our DB's are gonna be out there making all kinds of plays because the opposing team's QB will be under constant duress.
  5. He's a 5'6" RB, without blazing speed, who doesn't offer much in the receiving game. How many LB's is he picking up on blitzes? How many DE's is he going to be able to slow down who evade the first level of blockers? He was a good story at UB, but he's just not that intriguing of a prospect when you take everything into account.
  6. That thread is full of TBD OG's, many that I wonder what had happened to over the years.
  7. If a guy you really want is on the board then you take him. You don't worry about picking up an extra 6th or whatever trash it was to drop back three spots and then 🤞🤞 in hopes he'll still be there.
  8. How far this team has come in 4 years from the depths of purgatory we once perpetually resided in.
  9. I'm good with this. Tremaine is still young and coming off an injury riddled season. Josh was a no-brainer.
  10. Draft grades are in?
  11. If Rousseau hits then this draft is an A++. I know Rousseau had one really productive year, but it's just a small sample size. I actually have more faith in Basham being productive than Rousseau at the moment, but that's just me. Basham, playing at 270, will be quicker and more twitchy than he was at Wake where he played between 285-290lbs. I think he will do really well getting after it while lining up against RT's in the NFL. He's good against the run already as well knowing how to set the edge and shed his blocks to close on the ball carrier. He also has a knack for punching the ball out when he gets there, having 3 FF in 2019 and then 4 FF in 2020 playing only 6 games. I REALLY liked our 2nd Round pick. I also understand the Spencer Brown pick. Adebo and St-Juste were both off of the board. The OL needed some young depth and by all accounts I've read we got one hell of an OT prospect. Can't be mad at that. Until the other day I had not even heard of Marquez Stevenson. After that I watched different videos of the guy for about 30-45 minutes straight, Houston games and highlights of him. To me, and this is just my 2, he will be to this offense what Foster could have been. On top of that, he will contribute in the return game. He has a career average of 26.1 yds per kickoff return with 3 TD's on 34 total returns. That means in college 1 out of every 11 he took to the house. Love this pick. Doyle I had only seen his name on mock draft boards, but didn't do much research behind it. I think he may be a PS guy unless we move someone else to keep him on the 53/55, whatever it is now. Hamlin I had looked into a bit. He seems to be a fit for the defense we run, but will need to be coached up on his responsibilities in coverage. Wildgoose? I got nothing. Our UDFA's have some solid potential with Tariq Thompson and Quintin Morris. All in all I give us a B+ right now, with a chance to be an A++ if Rousseau can bring 10-15 sacks a year to this defense. It's more than solid, even though I really wanted us to address the 1T.
  12. Well, I guess we're f****d at the 1 Tech again
  13. Aaaaaaand the final pick is...... Jack Anderson? Who?
  14. There's the S we all knew was coming at some point.
  15. Anytime someone mentions ST this happens to @FireChans
  16. Completely on board with this one
  17. Boom!!! Marquez Stevenson. There's your speed WR.
  18. And as I post that the Eagles take Gainwell.
  19. Kind of surprised that Nixon and Gainwell both are still available at this point, especially Nixon.
  20. Getting closer to our 1T...... Hopefully
  21. Man, Irsay looks worse than Keith Richards
  22. Turns into Janarius Robinson. I think he'll be productive for them.
