This takes "That's my Quarterback" to a whole new level. TO won't out here getting Romo tats.

George Pickens = SB
-
If this defense is what I think it will be, then we should at least be representing the AFC in the SB. I think Benford, Hairston, White, Strong, and Taron Johnson will be the best group of CB's in the NFL. I think Groot, Jackson, Bosa, AJE, Sanders, Oliver, Walker, Jones, and Carter will be one of the more formidable DL's in the league. (That's not even counting the PED boys). I TRULY believe that opposing QB's are going to be losing sleep before matchups against us this year. We actually have some REALLY good depth at key positions, where in years past we have not. And with JA17, you know what the offense is gonna do.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

Terry sold shares to finance his part of this new stadium and these are the HS auditorium seats we get? -
Cook is a good RB. He is way better than D'Andre Swift. Trying to compare the two just doesn't make sense, to me at least. Their body types are different. Their style of play is different. Swift is like a little bowling ball at 5'9" and 215lbs. James Cook is 5'11" and, at best, 195lbs. Cook is lightening quick and has a burst that Swift does not. I would compare Swift more to someone like David Montgomery, and Swift is not even on his level. Yes they are different players, but Cook is a legitimate homerun threat at the RB position where Swift is not. I know I have my opinions about how he and his camp have handled situation entirely from the jump, and I still think his brother is a complete idiot, but our current team would be weaker without him. It would put more strain on Josh to carry the load if Cook were not here, more so than he already does, and that is not what we want or need at this stage in Josh's career. The hits do start to add up and take their toll. Cook is someone that other teams do have to gameplan for because he is that homerun threat. With the position not being addressed in the draft, and a trade not being made at the same time, I think that pretty much settles he will be here this year. And he better be ready to ball out if he wants to get that big contract he's looking for.

Malaki Starks wants to pick off Josh Allen most

Malaki, get ready to meet our very own JA17. -
Yes!!! We need more of Gabe Davis' mom's thoughts on things.

I don't think it's necessarily gonna be a who, but more so a what. I think the Bills defense will not only be top 3 in sacks, but also top 3 in takeaways. Opposing QB's are going to lose sleep when they see us next on the schedule.

And they'll still be the factory of sadness on the field. -
Hoecht and Ogunjobi can get the boy right.

DC is only about a 3 hour hike from where I'm at in VA. I just might have to go check this out.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
H2o replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope, after all of the offseason additions to the DL and Secondary, that we absolutely murder Burrow and the Bengals this year. We'll see. I still think they are the worst matchup until we prove otherwise on the field. I have seen us beat both KC and Baltimore, no matter how people feel about the way it happened. I haven't seen us beat the Bengals with Burrow, Chase, and Higgins. -
Ehhhh, I don't know about the TJ Watt comparison. Watt has more bend, and is even quicker than Jackson. For Jackson, I was thinking more along the lines of JPP.
-
I really like our draft as a whole. And though I think Dorian Strong will end up being our diamond in the rough, I REALLY liked this pick, especially where we were able to grab him. We now have two mammoth human beings that will be lining up at bookends on the DL for years to come. At 6'6", 264lbs, with 33" arms, even when he doesn't get to the QB, he will certainly disrupt passing lanes. Fact of the matter is though, for a guy his size, he's quite twitchy and nimble out there. He also converts speed to power well, and will absolutely manhandle opposing blockers. He also plays the run well. It will be interesting to see our rotation this year. I expect Jackson to see a lot of work on early downs, and Bosa in more clear passing situations. I also think the staff wants to get to the Playoffs with a healthy as possible Bosa so they can turn him loose. This DE group could be the best we've had in a long time if everyone stays healthy, that's not even counting PED boy.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
H2o replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defense was nonexistent on our side. They were cutting through them like a hot knife through butter. -
There are a few, but these two come to mind. The Bills vs Vikings September 2018. This is the game Josh Allen jumped clear over Anthony Barr. At that point, you knew Josh was something special. The Bills vs Rams in September of 2020. Yeah, we blew a 25 point lead, but Josh Allen put the cape on for that last drive. He threw Donald to the ground by his face mask, then hits Tyler Kroft for the game winner in the corner of the endzone with 15 seconds to go.

This is the way I see things shaking out. CB1: Benford, Strong CB2: Hairston, White NCB: T. Johnson, Ingram FS: Forrest, Hamlin, Hancock SS: Rapp, Bishop I think Ingram sticks over Lewis and Jackson. I think Codrington and Hardy are battling for a roster spot strictly based on ST's. I think they keep one less LB on the roster to keep one more DB. I hope the LB cut is the Temu version of Klein, Baylon Spector.

Paper tigers. The whole bend-but-don't-break defense may be fine in the Regular Season, but in the Playoffs they always failed us. They failed us in 2022 when Josh had us a lead with 13 seconds to go, they failed us in 2024 when it came down to a Bass kick to tie, and they failed us this year in the AFCCG again when it mattered most.
-
Seems accurate to me, and makes total sense as to why we always come up short in the Playoffs. The defense has consistently failed us. I have said this before, and I will say it again. There is no QB who has done more, with less, than Josh Allen. None. He won an MVP last year with his WR's being a washed/injured Cooper, Mack Hollins, Shakir, an rookie who spent extended time on the injury report in Coleman, an oft injured or non-existent Curtis Samuel, and an invisible MVS. His leading receiver had 821 yds. His leading rusher just barely scraped 1,000 yds in the final game of the season. 40+ total TD's for the 5th season in a row, and your reigning NFL MVP.

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
H2o replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say Cincinnati because they have beat us handedly. We are 0-2 against them, and likely would have been 0-3 except for what happened to Hamlin. -
Dalvin every chance he gets

Amari Cooper anyone? (has decided he is going to retire)
H2o replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Cooper ends up back in Dallas on a cheap, one year deal before TC. -
Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
H2o replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is depth. We have some 2's, solid Slots, and depth guys. Josh will still be Josh. Another 40+ combined TD season. Hopefully, Moore can catch a few of those.
