What kind of season are you expecting from Josh Allen this year?
H2o replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that the Diggs move is addition by subtraction. His diva mentality and sideshow antics being gone will breathe new life into everyone else on the offense. That being said, it remains to be seen whether our WR group can get it done in his stead. I'm not going into the overall WR discussion again because I've already made my thoughts known. Hopefully Knox can get back on track and clean up the drops. Hopefully Kincaid takes a big step forward. Hopefully this forces Josh to rely on his checkdown options at RB more in Cook, Davis, and Johnson. Brady LIVED off of taking what the defense gave him for 20 years. Can Shakir turn into our "Amon-Ra Lite" with a heavier workload? Josh could have his best season ever if he takes what the defense gives him at all times. If he insists on forcing the ball downfield then he could run into turnover problems and give all of the bobbleheads more reason to say it was Diggs who made him. Hopefully we see the full maturation of JA17 this season and consistently takes what the defense gives him. If he does, then he will be pretty much unstoppable and it will be his best ever. -
I don't know if anyone would trade for him. He's a brittle QB who has had multiple concussions. Two of those being quite scary imo. The next could be his last. Then he has meh arm strength. Which team is going to trade for that and then give him $175M gtd with an annual average of $50M? I don't think there's a market for him. If he would have been a FA, I think he gets a Baker Mayfield type of deal.

It sounds like 5 of the 6 WR's are pretty much decided. Coleman, Samuel, Shakir, Hollins, and MVS pretty much sound like locks from listening to Beane talk. To me, when talking about the draft, I think Beane and Co. were going to take one of either Legette or Coleman. They traded back with Carolina because they knew at least one of the two would be there. Our pick, obviously, was Coleman. They were good with that from all of their interactions and evaluations. Beane sounds like he's still holding out hope that Von returns to the form we saw prior to the ACL. I'm not as optimistic. It also sounds like Epenesa may get his number called a bit more this year. I like Rousseau. The kid is a monster against the run and has positional flexibility. Still, idk if he's ever going to be that 12-15 sack type of DE. After that, a couple of JAGs in Toohill and Smoot. He mentioned Solomon, but then said they're not really sure if he'll contribute this year. As a whole, our DE group is a bit underwhelming. When talking about Brady, you could pick up on what caused them to pull the plug on the Dorsey experiment. You could see it as well with Dorsey. He just didn't seem like that leader of men you look for in a coordinator. He also seemed to want to do things his way, and their was no adaptation. Brady seems to be more on Josh's level and can actually lead the offensive group. He also seems to be able to make adjustments on the fly. That's what I took from Beane's comments. Beane is always a pretty good interview.

You hate to see it.

Such is the world these days. Everyone is offended by everything. And if you offend someone, or a certain group of people, then the rest of the "mob" comes for you in one way or another. And there are "mobs" on all side. I'm sure a lot of the things I say or believe offend a ton of people as well. I lived a crazy life as a teen and young adult. A lot of drinking, a lot of drugs, a lot of women, a lot of crazy situations where I very well could not have been here right now. Car wrecks, set up to be murdered (yes, I'm serious), being involved in witchcraft, and situations I avoided by what I thought was "gut instinct". By the grace of God alone I am here. Life is different now. My relationship with Jesus Christ changed everything. I understand what Butker is getting at with what he is saying. I know what the Bible teaches about all of these things being debated around here. I also know the grace that has been bestowed upon my own life. I know the wickedness I walked in and how much was washed away. Because of that, because I have been forgiven much, I love much. It doesn't mean the things I say or believe will not offend others, but it does mean that those same things are not meant as malicious in any way.

Should Bills Mafia invite Jason Kelce to the week 11 game

He'll probably be following his brother around like a hemorrhoid all season long anyway so.... -
And if you would have read through the rest of the way, you would have seen my last response two above yours.

Oh good Lord, is there always going to be someone whining about something that someone else says about any and every topic? We, me and my family, are blessed to be comfortable enough in this day and time to not have to worry about a $15-$17 subscription to a streaming channel. We have Netfilx, Prime, Hulu, and I'm thinking about ditching Xfinity for YouTube. That's not the case for everyone. Some of those people, who are not in the same place we are, do like and watch football. Corporate greed is cutting out some of that fanbase, whether you want to admit it or not. You, too, have a choice. Whatever you choose is up to you.

Only if the new/final season of Stranger Things is about to drop. They usually try to push something current.

Voiced mine as well. I'll be a realist and the rest can....

The NFL doesn't care about their fanbase, only whomever is stuffing their pockets with the most $$$.

Well, we know three of our WR's off top. Those are Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Curtis Samuel. Looking at the roster as a whole, and what we have done previously, I think we keep AT MOST 6 WR's on the active roster. That means all of these guys are battling for 3 spots. Unless some unexpected guys REALLY impress, then I think one of those spots is almost a lock, with that lock being Hollins. I think he will be here come week one. Hollins fills that ST's role they look for and he has been productive at WR previously, albeit two years ago with the Raiders. MVS is that tall, fast WR who they can run on those Fly and Deep Post patterns to stretch the field. Claypool fits that same mold and this is also where he was at his best with Pittsburgh. I think if we get the first and second year Claypool, then he beats out MVS for that spot. Claypool has also played some ST's as well, where MVS really has not. One of those guys makes the #5 WR on the roster. If they both show well in TC and the preseason? Then they could be WR #5 AND #6. That leaves Cephus, Isabella, Shorter, Shavers, Hamler, Johnson, Thompson, and Keys all battling for one spot. This is assuming that we don't keep both Claypool and MVS. This is a pull a name from a hat situation. Isabella and Shorter have a leg up on the rest imo, and Shorter over Isabella if I had to guess.

This is bad mojo for Rodgers. Last year, on the 4th play, Leonard Floyd sacks Rodgers and he tears his achilles. Who is Floyd suiting up for this year? SF.
-
Hackett is trash. This was known prior to him even going to NY. The only reason he was hired is to appease Rodgers. He's like the wish.com version of Adam Gase.

It is a lot of $$$, but they're actually in pretty good shape moving forward cap wise.

It's being reported by ESPN as 4 years $84.1M(in the article, but $81.4M in the title). https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40139300/buccaneers-make-safety-antoine-winfield-jr-nfl-highest-paid-db

No they wouldn't. Milano is about to be 30 and coming off of a major injury. There hasn't been much of an update on him. Don't be surprised if Williams gets in more via in general rotation. It's also a matchup game and they could use him more depending on opposing formations. It doesn't require a complete change of our base defense.
-
I actually think it will be another LB, Dorian Williams. The athletic traits are there. He has the ability on the field. I think after having a year in the defense the game starts to slow down for him. He will play fast, yet controlled, and be an impact player for us.

So the pattern of stupid, criminal, and hood-like behavior has been there for quite some time. If he somehow escapes jail time, which at this point I don't believe he will because of the potential for this to have been another Henry Ruggs situation, then I expect him to be suspended for at least 12 games. The charges of racing and fleeing the scene are absolutely cut and dry with the evidence the prosecution has. Then the assault charges, and now this story coming out from his college days, just add to the picture of Rice's character he himself is painting at this point.

Toohill, or not Toohill? That is the question....... as far as DE rotational depth goes.
