Wow, how about Carolina coming back on Minnesota? They've scored 11 in the last 4 minutes to tie up the game. Darnold, even in his suckage, led them down the field for the game tying TD and 2pt conversion. Still only completing like 35% of his passes today though.
-
He had some decent throws and he had some misses, but his day was still meh. Nothing to be super hype about. It was a typical Baltimore win.
-
Yeah, not so much. He's always electric running the ball and their defense has been REALLY good today which is how Baltimore has won a lot over the last two decades. I'd hardly call 167 yards passing, accounting for 218 yards of total offense, with 2 INT's excellent. I'd call the result Baltimore just being the better team, with the better game plan, and better execution on the day.

This is the story with Lamar. He'll have a great game, then he'll be meh for a couple of weeks, then he has another great game, and the talking heads try to group him with the "elite" QB's in the NFL.
-
Darnold has been really, REALLY bad today. Starting to look like the first couple of weeks were just a teaser and he's still the same guy.

If Miami loses this game they may not win again until Week 9.

Every week I am thankful that Stephen Ross was enamored with Tua and passed on Justin Herbert.

It's amazing how the Jags went from a team in the AFC Championship game who lost 24-20 to the Pats in 2018 to the worst team in the league again by 2020, and looking to be that way again in 2021.

Not scared of Murray. Not scared of Watt. Not scared of Kingsbury. Not scared of the Cardinals in general. Last year was last year and it was a fluke L. They won't make the NFC Championship, more or less the SB.

The Edmunds Report - Week 5, Bills v. Chefs, 10/10/21
H2o replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's pretty awesome to see things starting to click mentally for Tremaine this year. Perfect example was when the Chiefs tried to get that play on the outside off of their LT. Edmunds read it perfectly, took a couple of steps to his right, saw the correct angle, and kicked in that closing burst to make the TFL. He's been seeing things on the field a lot better this year, diagnosing and going in for the tackle. This week against Tennessee will be a true test for him. Last year, though playing with an injured shoulder, I remember him being out of position a lot in that game. Hopefully his great play continues against a more run heavy offense. -
Yeah, something about this all seems targeted and fishy to me as well. I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that there are MANY who have typed out some really stupid or suspect things thinking they were done in the confidence of privacy in general. For some reason Gruden has been singled out and his situation is the one they want people focused on.

The better our pass rush, the better the Secondary looks because it causes QB's to make rushed decisions, throw off balance, and not be comfortable with what they are doing in the pocket. We don't have big sack numbers this year, but our guys have been way more disruptive than in 2019/2020. The Secondary is the biggest beneficiary of that.
-
No there wasn't a bunch of blitzing, but we were constantly making him move off of his spot, throw off of his back foot, or attempt to improvise while being chased. He was clearly uncomfortable. The fact he couldn't push the ball downfield like he wanted was frustrating him as well. For 3 years he's basically done whatever he wanted to back there. This year the way teams are playing defense, finally, is leading to him pressing. He already has 6 INT's in 5 games. Last year he had 6 INT's for the entire season.
-
Just like any other QB, if you rattle them or get in their head it effects them visibly on the field. I can't remember ever seeing him throw that many passes in the dirt tbh. Even though the pass rush wasn't getting sack after sack, the pressure was enough to make him uncomfortable and every chance our guys had they laid a hit on him. He was clearly out of sorts.

A Tale of Two Chiefs Superfans: Fistfight in the stands and more

Josh Norman ain't walking out of that tunnel this year.

GMFB taking notice of how the Bills were a completely different team yesterday as well.
-
Our guys were ready from the opening kickoff. It was complete domination on both sides of the ball. The energy and attitude around our squad is completely different this year as a whole. At no point did I ever feel like the game was in doubt truly nor was I ever worried about the Chiefs making a comeback.

The past couple of years, especially in these big games like KC or Baltimore or Tennessee, you could see that we weren't really our typical selves on both defense and offense. Last year we got past the Baltimore hurdle in the Playoffs. This year altogether is completely different. These guys really are on a mission. We also have guys stepping up to the plate in these big moments with Josh also seemingly more settled no matter the situation. Scratch the weather (because both teams had to make due), scratch who wasn't on the field (because we both had injuries), scratch a lone RTP call (because we saw which way most of the calls went), and whatever other excuse the media or Chiefs' fans want to throw out there. The fact of the matter is we went into their house, with a chip on our shoulders, and punched the bully who had been taking our lunch money right in the mouth. We then kicked him while he was down on the ground a few times for good measure. May God bless this team with good health throughout the season because this just may be our year ladies and gents.

Per Nick Wright: Bills will be a fringe contender.

Can't wait to hear the excuses from this clown all week, because you KNOW there will be excuses. The RTP, no Chris Jones, no Ward, CEH getting hurt, blah, blah, blah
