As would AJ Dillon
-
I think the main thing, and the leg up Dorsey has, is his familiarity with Josh and what he likes to do on the field. We need a better run game coordinator for sure and possibly even an OL coach. I say possibly an OL coach because it is likely just as much what he has to work with as it is the coaching. I would also like to see Josh set up under Center more so the play action could actually be of more use. Two out of our 3 RB's are slow and the other just doesn't strike fear into anyone, even though he has a bit of speed. Trying to run or use play action out of the Shotgun isn't really going to yield us results. No one fears us running the football and Daboll has no answer for it. It's all on Josh, every game, every week. I, for one, wouldn't be mad if Daboll isn't back with the team next year.

I think most people knew this would happen eventually, but the true Urban Meyer surfaced faster than expected to help accelerate the process.

We just went through the monster portion of our season

The only game we weren't in this year was the game against Indy. They walloped us. The difference against Pittsburgh was a blocked punt returned for a TD. We know what happened against Jacksonville. A fluke 4th down slip by Josh cost us against Tennessee. If we cash in on any number of opportunities against NE we win that game (dropped TD passes, Bass misses a FG). Last night Josh did everything he possibly could to get us back into the game against Tampa. The refs still love Tommy Boy and the defense did step up when they needed to. -
If the switch hasn't flipped for Edmunds yet then I don't believe it ever will. He gets fortunate enough to guess the right gap to shoot every now and again where he makes a solid play. But his lack of instincts and inconsistency still shows through too often. He will never be Keuchley. We need an upgrade.

Are Daboll and McDermott on the Same Page or at Odds With One Another?

Personally, I wouldn't care if we parted ways with Daboll in the offseason. I would like to see Dorsey get his shot and Dorsey is already familiar with Josh as well. Daboll's concepts are played out. Defenses know what we are going to do week in and week out. We win when Josh is killing it, but lose when he struggles to find his footing. It can't be all on his shoulders every game, of every week, of every season. The scheme needs adjusting, the OL needs to be fixed, and we need to get a better RB group. -
12/6/21 Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 2nd Half Thread

Until we get a running game this is what we will be. A one dimensional offense that can't win the big games. -

December 6, 2021 Gameday Bills vs. Patriots* Pregame Thread

33 degrees with 42mph wind gusts and sustained wind around 25mph. Hopefully Josh is clicking on those short to intermediate routes tonight. We know what NE is gonna be doing, running the football with Harris and Stevenson. -
This year, much more so than last seemingly, rides on JA's shoulders. Especially with Tre White going down for the rest of the year, the Bills will go as far as JA's arm takes them. Go Bills, beat the Pats!!!

In my line of work, and the position I am in, I have dealt with a lot of outside companies over the years. I have built a lot of relationships with these people at these other companies. Yesterday one of those companies took me and another guy out for lunch. After lunch was over the one of the company reps told me he had something for me and to follow him over to his vehicle. He opens his SUV, pulls out this beauty, and says this is for you. An autographed Jim Kelly Buffalo Bills jersey. I was stunned. I've been given all kinds of merchandise before. Company hats, t-shirts, lunch boxes, Yeti cups, but never anything like this. By far the coolest thing I have ever been gifted by a company I use as a supplier. Yesterday was a good day.

Done. Heal up quick Tre. -
Anyone who thinks this defense will be BETTER losing a 1st Team All-Pro CB doesn't understand the game of football whatsoever. Our depth is not great in the first place. You think we struggled against the run before? Wait until we're having to compensate by extending more help in coverage. If he's out for an extended period then we may not even make the playoffs. We have the Pats twice, Tampa, and the Panthers with a healthy Christian McCaffrey (at the moment). A 9-8 record is not getting you in this year, if we somehow lose those four. We needed to remain healthy to make run and it doesn't seem to be on our side considering what happened last night. Think about if we run into KC in the playoffs now. Or Tennessee if they have a healthy Julio and AJ Brown. Pittsburgh with Harris on the ground along with Claypool, Johnson, Friermuth, and Washington. Cincy (if they get in) with Mixon to pound the rock on the ground along with Chase, Boyd, and Higgins. We're just not gonna match up well anymore with a lot of the contenders from either conference.

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]

If it keeps Ford off of the field, I'm good with that. -
Top 5 SB Favorites At This Point (imo): 5. Arizona Cardinals - Kyler has taken a step forward and they have weapons on offense. The lack of Playoff experience is a drawback. 4. Buffalo Bills - Losses happen. We're still one of the best teams in the league. The OL needs to be healthy if we want to win it all. Heck, the team overall needs to be predominantly healthy. 3. Green Bay Packers - Aaron Rodgers is gonna Aaron Rodgers when on the field. He's tough to beat and the defense is slightly better this year. 2. LA Rams - They have, arguably, the most talent of any team in the NFL. McVay and many of the players have SB experience already. If OBJ comes in and meshes with that Offense then they are definitely making a run. 1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - This is basically the same team that won the SB last year and Tom Brady is still their QB. Until they lose in the Playoffs then they are the favorite. Notes: No, I don't see Tennessee as a serious threat without Derrick Henry. I don't see Baltimore as Top 5 at the moment because I think we have shown a blueprint for beating them with our defensive scheme. Kansas City still has a chance to turn it around, but something just looks off with their entire team this year. Raiders, too much of a circus surrounding the team this year. Pittsburgh, the defense is outstanding, but Ben will be a detriment again by season's end. Dallas, yeah nah. New England is better than we want to give them credit for because of the defense, but Mac Jones is still a rookie and their WR group is weak. LA Chargers, not ready yet. Cincy/Cleveland, nope. The NFC is the toughest conference this year imo and I hope they beat each other to death clawing their way into the SB, whoever makes it there.

Breaking News: Odell Beckham is set to be released
H2o replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope so. I'd hate to see him end up in NE or KC. -
I got a gut feeling that if Cleveland ends up releasing him, which I hope they don't, then OBJ ends up on the Chiefs.
-
Idk, I think the one where he planted Van Noy on his back, then stepped over him, was the best one he had because ended up plowing someone else after that too.

That look you make when Aaron Donald now has Von Miller on the outside

Spencer Brown likely out vs Phins, back injury
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dread the thought of Ford being on the field. I'd much rather move Feliciano to RG and have Boettger at LG.
