"Oooohhh, they're all so close to us now." 😬 All the while you are acting completely oblivious to what the Bills have done this offseason. Let's break that down real quick. So the team that has basically been on the brink of the SB the last two years, the team with a Top 3 NFL QB, and talent across the board did what you ask? FA: We brought in Saffold. Surely an upgrade over Feliciano. We retained Bates. That was key. We brought McKenzie back. A nice little Swiss Army Knife player. We signed Jamison Crowder, who is one of the better and more underrated Slot WR's in the league. We signed Duke Johnson to add to the RB group. We signed DaQuan Jones. An upgrade over Star. We signed Tim Settle. Ton of potential on the interior DL. We brought Jordan Phillips back. Best years of his career were in this defense. We brought Shaq Lawson back. Best years of his career were in this defense. We signed this guy named Von Miller too. Maybe you've heard of him? Draft: (only highlighting the guys I really like) We drafted Kaiir Elam in the 1st. Elam fits the defense well and has athleticism that Levi could only dream of. We drafted James Cook to add to the backfield. Cook can run the ball, he can catch passes out of the backfield, he can line up out wide. We drafted Khalil Shakir to add to the WR group. Shakir also has value as a returner and will be groomed for that Slot WR position. We drafted a Punter who can flip field position completely on every 4th down snap, though they may be few and far between. So you talk about what everyone else has done to move closer, but we made quite a few moves to further separate us from the pack in the AFCE and put us closer to hoisting that Lombardi overall.

Hill is just talking up his new QB. He went from Pat Mahomes to the left handed Chad Pennington. Tua never had "crazy" arm strength, he was adequate. The hip injury seems to have affected how he drives the ball because he hasn't been the same since. Tua is a quality, high character young man, but an elite QB he will never be. He won't be asked to sling the ball like Allen has either, especially in that McDaniel/Shanahan style of offense. He'll be used like Jimmy G was in San Fran. I expect a lot of underthrown passes on deep routes and for him to be solid in the short to intermediate ones. One of the best things that happened to us in recent years was Miami passing on Herbert for Tua. Can you imagine Herbert out there with Waddle, Hill, Gesicki, and Williams to throw the ball to? Miami doesn't scare me, even though they are the next best team behind us in the division. This is the year Tua has to take a step forward though because Miami has two 1st's in the 2023 draft and will certainly look to move for a QB if he doesn't do so. There is just too much talent around him on offense.

Highly doubt it. He most likely ran up on someone who had it at the club who wasn't a Veterinarian. I would bet $$$ there is no type of tracing going on here.

When I read the toxicology report on PFT yesterday and that he had been with another female, other than his wife, around the time of his death it made me get that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I know these guys are mostly young, rich, and try to "live it up", but all of the events leading to his death just make me think about his life choices in general and where they can lead. It's sad to see unfold and his life is now over.

In all seriousness, there are two that are in a dead heat. The OL until proven otherwise and the Secondary. I hope Saffold is over the injuries and has a great year for us. Dawkins seemed to have a rough go last year as well after his bout with Covid. I liked what I saw from Bates in limited action, but I hope he builds off of that. Hopefully Kromer has these guys whipped into shape and playing some good football this year. I know there are varying opinions of Levi Wallace, but I was never a big fan. He was decent, but was usually the guy that gave up the big plays or key first downs in his time here. He was the one who got roasted on the slant by Hill for the 65 yard TD. All you saw was Levi diving face first while swiping at his feet and being left in the dust. To me, that summed up his time here. If Tre is not pre-injury Tre then we could be in some trouble. Elam is a rookie, Jackson was decent but not great, and after them two it's a bunch of J.A.G.'s on the outside.

The strongest division foe has to be Miami at this point. They have two electric WR's in Waddle and Hill. Both of them could take any of Tua's dink and dunk passes to the house. They also still have Gesicki at TE and Hunter Long was one of the top TE prospects in the 2021 draft whom they selected last year. We'll also see how well McDaniel can implement that Shanahan run scheme in Miami. They have a decent stable of RB's now, but no one worth talking about. Their defense is middling, but not bad by any means. I think their peak is 10 wins, but they could also only win 7 or 8. Everything is still on Tua though and he hasn't shown anything to make me think he will pose a serious threat. The Pats are barely ahead of the Jets at this point imo. Mac Jones is another decent QB with underwhelming arm strength. Devante Parker is an upgrade to their receiving corp and Bourne showed pretty well last year, but the offense is still lacking. They have a couple of decent RB's in Harris and Stevenson. They overpaid both Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith last year in FA, but neither of them really lived up to the hype either. Their Secondary also took a big hit when JC Jackson went to the Chargers. Judon is another year older, McCourtey the same, and Dugger has been meh for the most part. Nothing about their team scares me anymore in the slightest. I think at most they win 9 games, but more likely 7 or 8. The Jets had a REALLY good draft this year. They added guys who could be difference makers on both offense and defense. Saleh and Douglas could be building something there that may turn out well after their years of futility. Carter and Breece Hall could make for a nasty backfield duo. Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, Garrett Wilson, Denzel Mims, and Braxton Berrios has the makings of a solid WR group. They signed Uzomah in FA and then drafted Ruckert from Ohio St. for TE's. They have Lawson coming back fully healthy and Jermaine Johnson had some excellent tape last year at Florida St. in there Edge group. Quinnen Williams, Sheldon Rankins, and Solomon Thomas are solid on the interior. Ahmad Gardner is an immediate upgrade at CB, and I love the kid's talent, but we'll see how he fares facing the best of the best week in and week out. The NFL is quite a step up from the American Athletic Conference. Also, he's out here writing checks with his mouth that he won't be able to cash. Diggs is going to eat him alive just to prove a point and you best believe Diggs is going to let him know about it while it's happening. I think the Jets will win 7 or 8 games this year. Just like with any other team though it will depend on the QB, Zach Wilson for them. They better hope he's added about 15-20lbs of muscle this offseason and they better hope his understanding of NFL defenses has come a looooong way.

I think it's a combination of things. He's had one set of common opponents on the road and at home in those years. The Pats, Fins, and Jets. The quality of opponents faced at home vs otr need to be taken into account. The weather? Sure, that's a factor as well, but you have to take into account the rest of the variables. Josh also used to have a tough time controlling his emotions early on. As he has matured, that has changed also. He has always had the affinity for clutch moments, but now is just turning into an absolute cold blooded assassin out there. His mentality is starting to remind me of another QB we faced for a long time. The best is yet to come. Home, on the road, whatever.

Double headers are a bit much on a Monday. I would expect the later games to have a much lower viewership across the east coast.

"13 Seconds" is about the same level as "The Music City Forward Lateral" for me. It happened, it sucked, but I'm over it.
