  1. Not concerned about this at the moment. I'm not even concerned if he's a limited participant for TC. I want impact snaps during the regular season and Playoffs from this guy. I'm not worried about him missing OTA's. I guess it may be because I'm one the ones that are expecting a solid contribution from Landon Jackson this year as well.
  2. Lists like this, for myself personally, help me to remember how quick an NFL career goes by, how quickly it seems the years end up behind us. I remember watching many of these guys in college, and talking about some of them when the draft was coming around. Now they're over 30, and most at or close to the tail end of their careers for the most part.
  3. I was never a fan. I get more enjoyment from being on and reading this website than I ever did over there.
  4. I mean once he played, or practiced, or whatevered himself into the dog house, he never found the way out. His first year seemed promising, imo. I expected a nice step forward into year two. Then he ends up injured, then inactive, or barely seeing the field when he was active on game days. At that point, I think whatever it was had him completely and he just wasn't going to find his way onto the field consistently. I think a fresh start is good for him and he will be better in Dallas for that alone. I don't think he will all of a sudden turn into a superstar, but I think he fits better with what they do in their Secondary. For whatever reason, he fell out of favor quickly here.
  5. Tough. Battled addiction in multiple forms. Found unresponsive in December 2023, later blamed on a respiratory illness. Hopefully he has found peace in his passing.
  6. Is The Smoking Man still alive?
  7. Nah, he'll just be wherever Dad is as an assistant coach, QB coach, if that is the case.
  8. Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde had some extensive work before they got here. This guy is just a bottom of the barrel camp body who won't make it past the first cut.
  9. Pump the brakes there guy. He can't possibly be the highest paid QB in the NFL until after his 3rd season, when he becomes eligible for an extension. He can have his jersey retired and be placed on the wall of fame after two TC practices though.
  10. I live in VA and was checking tickets for the Panthers game in Charlotte. That's only about a 4 hour drive for me. Crazy prices. I'm not going if I can't get decent priced seats that are in the middle somewhere between the 30's. And I'm not paying $600-$700 a ticket.
  11. The Lance deal was an organizational flop from top to bottom. He had barely thrown 300 passes in 3 years at a Division I AA school. One year was good, albeit against weak competition. A blind man could have seen that bust of a QB walking into a room. With Purdy, you saw exactly who he is this past year. A middle of the road QB who isn't a guy that will carry the franchise. He's not terrible. He's better than at least half of the starters in the NFL. $53M a year though? Absolutely not.
  12. Purdy is not that great. He's a middling QB that is another product of the Shanahan system.
  13. I mean, the market is what it is. But guys like Tua, Lawrence, and Purdy getting this kind of money is insane.
  14. What seems fair to you, and what the franchise that has sold it's collective souls to Satan receives for player punishments are two completely different things entirely.
  15. Peter Pan guy? Takers?
  16. There are a couple RB's I can remember being truly productive into their 30's. John Riggins had 1,300+ and 24 TD's at 34, then 1,200+ and 14 TD's at 35 toting the rock. Walter Payton killed it from his age 30 to 33 seasons, going for 5,889 yds and 34 TD's rushing. If Barry Sanders had played another 5 seasons (truthfully, just another 3), I have no doubt he would be the NFL's all time leading rusher. Players like Henry are a rare breed. But, all it takes is one injury at this stage and he's likely done. An ACL, an achilles, a hip labral tear, any of these could spell the end.
  17. Nice breakdown. Beane/McDermott, though we get frustrated and talk a lot of crap at times, when you stack them up against the other top end teams in the league, we look just as good. I really believe this year's draft is the one that is going to put us over the top. I really loved this draft class.
  18. Xavier Restrepo has entered the chat...
  19. Tough break. Hope he makes a full recovery.
  20. If my guy would have just taken some of that $$$, bought pizza and water bottles, then distributed them in a nearby neighborhood he could have gotten off scot-free.
  21. This takes "That's my Quarterback" to a whole new level. TO won't out here getting Romo tats.
  22. George Pickens = SB
  23. If this defense is what I think it will be, then we should at least be representing the AFC in the SB. I think Benford, Hairston, White, Strong, and Taron Johnson will be the best group of CB's in the NFL. I think Groot, Jackson, Bosa, AJE, Sanders, Oliver, Walker, Jones, and Carter will be one of the more formidable DL's in the league. (That's not even counting the PED boys). I TRULY believe that opposing QB's are going to be losing sleep before matchups against us this year. We actually have some REALLY good depth at key positions, where in years past we have not. And with JA17, you know what the offense is gonna do.
