He ran a 5.03 40. There are OL'men faster than him. He may end up being our new Lee Smith, but I wouldn't expect much beyond that.

Why don't NFL players have Tommy John surgery?
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we are taking into account solely the stress put on an arm and shoulder as a whole while strictly comparing a pitcher to a QB? Absolutely. Now if you are talking about getting hit? Of course they don't get hit. The stress on a pitcher's arm though is well beyond that of a QB. Starting pitchers are putting everything they have into hurling the ball anywhere between 85-120 times an outing. They may take the mound 35 times in a year. That's well beyond the 30-60 passes a QB may throw in, at the most, 21 games. And QB's aren't always throwing the ball as hard as can either. -

Not really. The strain on a pitchers arms is a lot more than the strain on a QB's. -
PFF: Von Miller 2nd highest graded defender in 4th quarter/OT
H2o replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone who watched Von Miller's play last year down the stretch, once he got healthy, and throughout the Playoffs could tell you he was a beast. -

This is the answer he is giving which is both true and false at the same time. He has moved past it and is on to his next venture. The truth of what happened in that situation is only known by those directly involved. In truth, the situation is over. Rehashing it constantly is counterproductive and really doesn't have relevance to the present. You learn from it and move on.

Does this Pats fan make sense? 🤔 I HATE to admit I agree with him.

For everyone's viewing pleasure, highlights of the Bills/Pats Playoff game. -
His lawyer basically admitted guilt. There are so many ills in this whole situation. His lawyer saying massages with a "Happy Ending" are not a crime. The fact Watson paid the business owner $5,000 to send women his way (because he's a nice guy ya know ). The fact that Watson asked to be covered with a towel or, even a wash cloth, instead of a standard sheet. The fact that he solicited NUMEROUS massage therapists. All of the stories of the plaintiffs being dang near identical. The fact that they denied, denied, denied, and now his lawyer makes this statement. The fact he tried to settle twice, but wanted a strict NDA for them to settle. The fact he sat on the stand and committed perjury saying he wasn't looking for sexual favors because he "has a girlfriend". The fact he admitted the one girl was crying, just as she testified, through text messages to her after the incident and claims he didn't know why. The fact his lawyer is now trying to walk back that statement. This guy is an unrepentant predator who doesn't deserve the privilege of donning an NFL uniform ever again.

This just keeps getting worse and worse for Watson imo. After sitting on the stand talking about how he wasn't trying to get anything out of the women because he "had a girlfriend", now his lawyer drops this gem. This sexual predator should never take another snap in the NFL, but I hope they give him at least a 2 year ban. The Browns have to be the dumbest organization in all of professional sports.

Austin is nothing more than a TC body at this point. He's not being brought in to take anyone's job. Now, if he can somehow shine bright in the return game, he may end up being able to crack the roster. I highly doubt that happens though. I think it's safe to say that Diggs, Davis, Crowder, Shakir, and McKenzie are locks. That leaves Kumerow, Hodgins, Gentry, Stevenson, Austin, Pau'u, and Malik Williams all battling for what likely will be 2 spots. Last year we had 8 WR's on the roster, but one was IR'd. Kumerow has ST value and has been here for a couple of years now so he likely has a leg up on the rest already for one. We'll see how it shakes out in TC.

Poll: Does Ryan Fitzpatrick Belong on the Bills Wall of Fame?
H2o replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
I liked Fitz, and Fitz was an easy guy to root for, but there is a reason his stint was short here. He was an awesome personality and teammate wherever he's been, but a Bills WOF'er he is not. -

Absolutely, the main difference is between a random cycle and steady abuse. I've seen people get addicted to it pretty much. It seems more mental with them than anything else. They don't really lose any size at all, but their max's may drop a bit. Then you talk to them and they act like the world is coming to an end. I know my co-worker was taking too much and that's what caught up with him. About the HS kids? You'd be surprised the pressure some of them feel because of their living situations. I live in a small city called Hopewell, VA. Hopewell has produced two NFL caliber players the last few years. For a city as small as ours, that's amazing to me. Darrell Taylor, a 2nd Round pick of the Seahawks in 2020, and soon to be NFL RB TreVeyon Henderson. There are a lot of kids in a tough spot here, just like many other places. They see sports as their only way out. Some of them would do just about damn near anything if they thought it would help them get there. All you can do is try to help guide them in the right direction. Like you said, diet and putting in the work naturally (with proper form) will take them where they are trying to get to physically.

Kromer likes OL'men that can move. That's what we got. Break out the beach chairs!!! Can't wait for TC to get here.

If your starting QB is letting the Twitterverse affect him before TC even gets rolling, then this ought to be gold once the regular season starts. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/06/02/tua-tagovailoa-twitter-warriors-and-keyboard-warriors-criticizing-me-arent-at-practice/

My disdain for PFF has been known on this board for years. They manufacture metrics based off of their own skewed views about players. They downgrade or upgrade because of their own personal opinions. They will also beat that dead horse into the ground to push that skewed view until it becomes an impossible narrative to maintain any longer. The real kicker for me personally though? I watched a video they put together after the draft in 2018 (pretty sure it was 2018, but could have been 2019) where they were doing a breakdown of many of the teams' draft picks. The two clowns in the video had the audacity to claim "you can tell which teams FO's were going by our PFF Draft Guide by their selections" because it was supposed to be some kind of draft bible in the hands of every NFL GM. They're idiots.
