Dotson is also a good route runner who is fluid in his breaks as well. He also knows how to use pace to lull a DB to sleep, kicking into an extra gear to separate. An NFL strength and conditioning program could help him add some good weight, but he doesn't need much. Look at DeVonta Smith, all 170lbs of him (if he weighs that much). Talent is talent and Dotson has talent no doubt.

Not since the early 90's, if ever.

Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
H2o replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
It wouldn't be a bad signing, especially knowing he'd be primarily a backup. It would also mean we could actually run some 12 Personnel formations as well. Draft Charlie Kolar in the 4th and our TE room would be set. -
Everything I have seen has Hall listed around 280lbs, which is still lightweight for a DT. He's probably going to be drafted by a 3-4 team to play 5-Tech.
-
Rudolph would be a solid backup option. We basically have Knox and that's it. Rudolph has made his $$$ in the league too, so he might come here on a discount hoping to get a SB.

@YoloinOhio, what is your take on Olave? I watched quite a few OSU games this year myself, but it seems like they had 5 or 6 WR's that could be starting anywhere else in the country. You've seen more of him than I have overall.

Interested to see the 40 times, 3-cone drills, and shuttles for the RB's, WR's, and DB's this year. Those are three places where we not only need some infusion of talent, but some speed as well. I'm also keeping an eye on the LB group. Chad Muma is the LB I want us to grab as the successor to Edmunds, but I want to see how all of these guys perform.

Now Larry Fitzgerald's father has weighed in with his opinion on Murray. One has to wonder if he had any input from his son or saw things on his own that brought this about? https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/02/larry-fitzgeralds-father-calls-kyler-murray-spoiled/

I really want Fitzy to come back for this season

Colt McCoy, Trevor Siemian, or Andy Dalton is who I hope we bring in as Josh's backup. -
If this is the case, and vaccination will not be a requirement to attend games, then this may be the year I finally come up from VA to see a home game (before anything else can happen). It's a long drive, but something I have increasingly wanted to do the last 5 years or so. We'll wait and see how it goes because the 2022 season is a loooong way off at the moment, but this is a sliver of hope at least.

Travis Kelce's catch percentage was 68.7%. Everyone quoting the "catch percentage" thing realizes it's just the number of catches divided by the number of targets, right? It's not like that player dropped the other 30% of their targets. Njoku actually had the lowest drop % of the three at 3.8%. Knox's drop percentage was 5.6% and Kelce's 7.5%.

Tim Graham: Bills stadium deal could be announced this week.
H2o replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. Arrowhead has a heated field as well and it holds up nicely throughout the season. -
Ran across this story just now.: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/28/report-browns-are-willing-to-break-the-bank-for-david-njoku/ I know Cleveland is not exactly the model franchise, but they're about to pay Njoku 8 figures on top of already paying Austin Hooper 8 figures. This is what we are likely facing with Dawson Knox. Knox has 47 less catches, 500 less yards, and only one less career TD catches than Njoku has. Njoku has been in the league for 5 years, Knox only 3. Knox also wasn't really a part of the offense in college either as he didn't score a single TD while at Ole Miss. We should really look into extending his contract now as the $$$ tag is only going to continue to go up imo.

Oh, you can bet that natural grass field will be as state of the art as they come. It won't be bad at all, plus it's easier on the human body. -
Kyler after his agent hit the "post" icon. "Yeah boy, we bout to get this $$$."

Todays Take on Generational Money Where is That Line ?
H2o replied to T master's topic in Off the Wall
The question is what's your lifestyle and how do you spend that $$$? If you want to be out on the party scene rubbing elbows with the rest of the rich and famous, buying the latest Bentley, showing up to all these red carpet events, with $100K chains/watches, then it's going to be different than for those who live modestly. I could live off of $1M the rest of my life, but I'm 45 and live modestly. If you live within your means then $4-5M in your 20's could last you your whole life easily. But if your tastes are that of more extravagance, then you will need that $50M-$100M. Even then you see people mismanage that $$$ and end up broke. -
McKenzie ain't coming back. We won't pay him what he can get elsewhere and he sounded like a guy looking for a fresh start in the time since our season ended.

I like the ESPN College Gameday group and Herbstreit calling games. I hope that doesn't get broken up and that he gets to do this as a side gig if taken. -
In hindsight, what’s your worst “hot take” on TSW ever?

I thought Jimmy Clausen was a sure fire NFL Franchise QB and nearly lost it when we passed on him twice. -
A nice prospect to groom if Feliciano gets the boot.
H2o replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, he plays with a mean streak. But on a lot of those plays, he seems to get a bit grabby as well. He'll have to watch that in the NFL, as well as using his arm like a hook and falling on top of guys to get them to the ground. Put him with Spencer Brown though? It's an intriguing prospect. -
What I was talking about originally was how guys like Ian Thomas, absolutely pedestrian at the position, are now getting $5.5M per season. I also noted that even our own former Logan Thomas is getting $8M+ per year from the Commanders. I don't know what you would deem his "value" at this point, but it is more than either of those two I can assure you that.

Walter Football Mock with the Hot Take on our MLB
H2o replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is Edmunds a bust? No, not even close imo. He's been solid, just not the Kuechly of this defense we were all hoping for. He still takes bad angles at times. He can still be slow to process what's taking place in front of him which causes him to miss out on making play, some of them he is actually RIGHT THERE to make and doesn't even see the play unfold. He also still has the propensity to get lost in coverage or turn his back to the QB and run towards a receiver flailing his arms in hopes of breaking up a pass. The athletic ability is there, but for whatever reason the light switch still hasn't flipped on. I know he's young, will only be 24 when the season starts, but this is his 5th year in the league already. At some point we have to realize that the game is never going to slow down for him and the "what to do" in every situation is never going to come naturally through instinct.
