This actually does surprise me a bit. I guess they feel Morris showed more in Camp and the preseason. They also must be comfortable that the "injury" yesterday is nothing serious.

I still think Jimmy G is the SF insurance policy for if Lance struggles. I think they, the 49ers and JG, know it. They have a SB caliber roster, especially on defense. I don't think Shanahan or Lynch throw that away on a rookie's growing pains (basically what he is), if it does happen. Maybe Lance looks good, but better to be safe than sorry.

If we get more pressure on QB's, that will make our Secondary look that much better. Hurried QB's are forced to make quicker decisions, throw the ball before they want to, and they are more prone to mistakes. The Secondary is then able to make more plays and they aren't forced to cover as long. I'm hoping the front really gets after it this year, which will make the whole defense look even better. I believe we'll be fine until Tre gets back, and then we'll be even more scary on defense when he does.

Yeah, this sounds absolutely horrible. In this day and age I would also hope that nothing like this could or would be swept under the rug for any reason. Hoping it's not true, that Araiza was not involved. If he was? He's got to go.

Could Aaron Donald potentially miss Week 1 due to suspension?

Maybe he didn't cycle off of the roids early enough this time and it's bled over into camp? -

Will the Browns regret it … Mayfield named as starter in Carolina
H2o replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the 2018 draft, Mayfield was my guy. That's who I wanted us to draft leading up to it. I thought he processed well, was accurate to all levels of the field, and he had that chip on his shoulder. I'm beyond happy we have Allen instead. Hopefully, the situation in Cleveland has caused him to do some real introspection and he grows from it. I wouldn't be surprised if he has the best year of his career this season in Carolina. Will he ever be elite? I doubt it. I do think he could play himself into the upper half of QB's in the league though. -
OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"

You know what's even more laughable? Mac Jones ranked ahead of Von Miller in the NFL Top 100. -
Deshaun Watson to be suspended 11 games via settlement
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
All of the women I saw talk about it, on the daily ESPN shows today, are all frustrated by his wavering and still saying he did nothing wrong. He's ruining himself even now. Some of them are frustrated with the NFL also because they believe the ban should have been at least a year. Don't be surprised if the NFL uses his "treatment" as a reason to hold him out even longer if this continues to blow up in their faces. -
Tom Brady Away From Bucs to "Deal With Some Personal Things"
H2o replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
Personally, I think his wife wants him to take a year off before he moves into the booth on his TV deal. Pressure at home may be causing him to have 2nd thoughts about his commitment. Or, he just wanted to come back so he can announce it's his last hurrah. Who knows at this point. Whatever is going on, I do believe that the pressure is coming from the home front. -

Every year this type of thread gets started and every year I rationalize why no deals are going to be made. I'm usually wrong, so I'll keep quiet

I'm not really. He is extremely limited athletically and we have guys remaining that are better suited for the offense.

Yep, I was wrong. Good for the young man. I hate seeing injuries happen to people.

You have to do something when Matt Patricia and Joe Judge are coaching you up on offense.
