I like Lamar. He's fun to watch. He's not the best passer out of the top 10 QB's though. He relies on his athleticism quite a bit to carry his team. Most of his yards and passing stats (TD's and all) come off of him running around, then finding an open man on a busted play. Last year was just a sample of things to come. A guy who plays like that, running as much as he does, eventually breaks down from injuries. It happened to Vick too. Lamar also doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. I know he's trying to cut out the middle man and all, but I believe he would benefit from having a Drew Rosenhaus to broker his big contract for him. It would be worth the couple mill it costs him to do so. When it's all said and done I think Lamar gets between $42M-$45M per season on 4 or 5 year deal, somewhere between $150M-$180M guaranteed.

It's definitely not the molasses crawl we have had in some of the mock drafts for sure.

I just don't see reaching for a new QB at this point really. Winston was 5-2 last year before he tore his ACL. You also have a new coaching staff and just singed Andy Dalton as a backup. I think adding to the WR group, with one of the top talents in the class, so the QB in place actually has weapons is the right move. We also don't know what is going to happen with Kamara over his altercation yet either.

With the 18th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.... The New Orleans Saints select.... Chris Olave, Wide Receiver, Ohio St. The WR group is thin outside of Michael Thomas. And who knows how much longer he will be here? They resigned Tre'Quan Smith, but he's a slot guy. Olave will instantly be the #2 in this offense. He can beat you at all 3 levels of the field. He's fast, a good route runner, has good hands, and he understands how to leverage DB's into creating separation. Jameis Winston will appreciate this pick immediately. @MrEpsYtown and the Philadelphia Eagles are on the clock

These are two solid picks that would really help that defense imo.

Jeremiah saw Allen's potential in 2017 and called it back then. Please forgive him for the Flacco comparisons though. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/first-look-scouting-wyoming-qb-josh-allen-0ap3000000814722 -
Giants, Seahawks, or Saints Thanks @Virgil

And the #1 overall pick steps to the podium, leans in, and says "HI!!! My name is, HI!!! My name is, HI!!! My name is...chicka, chicka"

"Wrong" Josh and "Right" Josh on the same team? Are you trying to trigger the apocalypse?

Glad to be wrong I guess this means we are truly BPA in the draft.

We just re-signed Boettger. Pretty sure that means Bates is gone.

Where do we stand on the countdown? When is the signing official for the Bears if we don't match the offer?

Peter King trolls Miami fan's expectations following Tyreek trade
H2o replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think McDaniel is going to be more along the lines with the offense that you see in San Fran. Everything was predicated off of the running game. If the Dolphins can't run the ball against our front then it will all still fall on Tua. The guy cannot go toe-to-toe with JA. -
Josh Allen is Buffalo's true savior. Without Allen and a winning franchise it makes this deal a lot less likely imo.

You'll find it at about the 3:15 mark in the video.

Drew Rosenhaus says there’s more bombshell trades coming.
H2o replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder if the other trades that Rosenhaus is speaking of are going down during the draft? -
He's only 28. He could still be that fast for another 4-5 years if he avoids a serious lower body injury. And even when he does "lose a step" compared to his current standard, he'll still be faster than 90% of the people playing defense in the NFL.

Uhhhhhhh, yeah. No way in hades Hunt is 201lbs.

Tua is not a scrub. I'm not saying he's a scrub when I speculate Miami doesn't believe in him as the long term answer. In two years though it seems he struggles pushing the ball down field and is only effective in the short to short-intermediate passing game. Does he have some weapons now? Absolutely. Do I think the Dolphins could make the Playoffs? Absolutely. Do I think you can just pencil in two victories against them this year? No, not by any means. Tua can be serviceable. He can be a game manager. They have two WR's with crazy speed now who can take any of those short passes to the house. We'll see how the McDaniel offense looks with all of this in place.

Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]

Sorry Chad, I think the QB scale tilts the situation just a little bit. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Josh Allen ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Tua Turnadaballova -
I think Miami did this because they truly DO NOT believe in Tua and expect to be having another QB on a rookie deal here within the next 2 years. They are giving him an opportunity to show he can be the guy, but I don't think they really believe he will be the guy. Carr doesn't strike me as a person only concerned with $$$. I think he wants to win. I think that want will outweigh what people clamor he should be paid and he will accept a more team friendly deal in the mid $30M's for a couple of years to do so, giving the team some flexibility.

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)
H2o replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have a lot of the same players going in the first as well. I see you snuck Corral into the 1st Round as well. QB needy teams always pull the trigger even though better players may be on the board, so I can see it. I can tell you that it would be quite disheartening if the Jets stole my man-crush, Chad Muma, in the 2nd. I think he can develop into an All Pro at the position because he has instincts you can't teach, good athleticism, and when he gets his hands on a player they go to the ground. Booth I could definitely see in the 1st, but I think it would be more in the mid-20's if so, possibly to us if the board falls that way. Most of the reports I have read say he would excel in a predominantly Zone scheme, like ours. Daxton Hill was hard to peg for me. He's definitely a 1st Round talent, but I had more teams drafted for needs other than Safety. Beane keeps his intentions close to the vest, outside of the year we knew the Bills were going for a QB, and trusts their draft board. Excited about it already.
