I'll post updates as I watch the games this year and give an honest opinion of how he's looking on the field. He's definitely got talent and solid arm strength.

Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous. It's not about race. Mahomes has been on a pedestal ever since he took over as QB1. His play has warranted that. He hasn't faced any kind of scrutiny because he's brown. Russell Wilson is as beloved as they come as well. With Kyler and Lamar, there are legitimate question marks. Lamar's passing ability and the ability to read defenses has been on display for 4 years now. Yes he won an MVP, but everyone sees it. A lot of his plays are improv, created by his legs, and he finds an open man when the play breaks down. He doesn't really sit in the pocket and pick defenses apart like Mahomes and Wilson. Lamar also struggles with throwing the ball outside of the hashes. With Kyler, it's mainly his attitude and apparently his off-the-field work ethic. If one of the greatest WR's, and most humble people to ever step on a football field in Larry Fitzgerald, make mention of someone's arrogance then I TRULY believe what comes out of his mouth. I have also seen Murray flat out throw his teammates under the bus in post game interviews. Multiple times. He's always trying to deflect blame from him or his play. Now we also have this situation with the contract clause. These things are not race driven, they are legitimate concerns that teams have about their $200M+ investments (even though Lamar hasn't gotten his $$$ just yet).

The city we live in, as small as it may be, keeps producing some quality athletes and young men all around. Darrell Taylor, TreVeyon Henderson, Keyshawn Henderson (TreVeyon's younger brother on the come up), and now Mason Cumbie has committed to the University of Buffalo. He's an extremely athletic young man, who can also sling the rock. He'll be a dual threat for the Bulls no doubt.

I think Baker wins the competition pretty convincingly when it's all said and done. Baker has clearly been the better of the two QB's. I expect nothing different when they start slinging the rock around in padded practices and preseason games.

We always have the video of the 30 yard wobbler he threw to Tyreke Hill in OTA's, where Hill had to slow down so quickly for the ball that he was proud of himself and raised one fist in the air.

The Jets definitely have the potential to be a really good team in the next couple of years. They have a couple of young guys on the OL with a lot of potential, mixed in with a couple of decent vets. They have Lawson, who looked like an up-and-coming star before the achilles injury, coming back. They drafted Jermaine Johnson, who has the potential to be a good/great pass rusher. They still have Quinnen Williams. Sauce has the potential to be a lock-down CB. Their LB group is meh, but if Mosley can stay healthy that will help a lot. They have a couple of young, potential stud RB's in Breece Hall and Michael Carter. They have a solid receiving group in Moore, Davis, and the recently drafted Garrett Wilson. They picked up CJ Uzomah, have Tyler Conklin, and added Jeremy Ruckert to the TE group. Everything still, just as with any other team, will hinge on the play of their QB. If the game slows down for Wilson, if he's improved reading defenses, and makes the right decisions with the football? They could be pushing for that 2nd spot in the AFCE this year, and a potential Playoff berth. Everything has to come together for Zach Wilson on the field though.

It's not the same Patriots anymore, all the way around. The AFC East is better, their defense is nothing compared to what it used to be, and Josh McDaniels has left the building. You have two coaches from failed HC'ing stints, where their offenses were flat out bad, and they don't even have it settled as to whom is calling the plays. Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Brown, Branch, Givens, Patten, Edelman, Gronk, Hernandez, Watson, none of those guys are walking through the doors. Hypotheticals are useless in this situation. If he's that good, he can make it work with average guys like Brady did for all those years before they had that prolific run. He can't. Jones is not that guy. He was the most Pro-ready QB, but he's not the one with the highest possible ceiling out of that draft class and he's not carrying them to victories. He can be the next coming of Andy Dalton, but neither he, nor the Patriots team he leads, will ever be feared again because of the guy under Center.

Alabama fan? Jones isn't a bad QB, but he's not the 2nd coming for the Pats either. He's smart and processes things pretty well, but his arm is average at best. He can succeed in a timing based system, but he's not going to wow you with any escape ability or off script plays. Cover One did a breakdown of he and Allen making the exact same throw. Allen's got there in less than 3 seconds I believe.(2.7 maybe ?) Jones' pass was 4.1 and that was the one Hyde picked off. Out of everyone in last year's draft, I always said he was the most pro-ready QB. He does have limitations though.

Wasn't singling you out my friend, just giving an in general take over what I was reading throughout the entire thread. Some people are moaning about Julio signing in Tampa, like we're supposed to sign every guy available. It's just not going to happen.

For everyone going on and on about this, Julio Jones has only made it 9 and 10 games the last two seasons. He's 33 years old. His body is breaking down. The DL as a whole required an overhaul because Star, Vernon Butler, Addison, Obada, and Hughes were underwhelming. We also weren't going to pay Harry the $$$ he got from Minnesota. We needed a legit, proven pass rusher and got Von Miller. Settle is an upgrade. Jones is an upgrade. Phillips knows the defense and is an upgrade. Lawson knows the defense and is an upgrade. Also, show me how many teams whose #4 WR (basically what the 3rd man up on the outside is) are "great" players. We legitimately have one of the best rosters from top to bottom in the ENTIRE NFL and people are on here pissing and moaning about Julio signing with Tampa. It's pretty amazing.
