  1. His hands were all over ruining the #4 overall defense in the NFL, which we had prior to his arrival in 2015. Our defenses were putrid under Rex and that was supposed to be his forte.
  2. The season just ended, but the legal tampering period will be here before you know it. March 13th. Heck, it's already February 16th. There really isn't too much of a lull and the offseason gets moving rather quickly after the presentation of the Lombardi trophy. Especially when you factor in the combine and finishing up of coaching hires.
  3. @Ga boyhere is a good breakdown of offseason activities coming up.
  4. I guess Payton didn't learn anything from having that crap defense run by the other brother in NO.
  5. The Chiefs cap situation is a bit different than ours. With 3 restructures they can have $60M. We'd have to kick the can down the road on pretty much everyone to have $35M-$40M. They have less holes to plug than we do and are coming off of winning the SB. I think OBJ chases the money, Jerry pays him the money to come to Dallas, and Beane will not cough up those kinds of resources to bring him here.
  6. OBJ will chase the $$$. He's already got a ring. I can't see us being the highest bidder either. I still expect him to end up in Dallas. I'd rather invest $12M per year in Jakobi Meyers anyway tbh.
  7. No, he was poached by Zay Jones.
  8. 2 knee ligaments and a 1st Class ticket on an American Airlines flight
  9. Pretty sure he's talking about being able to be at the summit of the AFC, and the whole NFL. Not necessarily modeling the Chiefs in every facet, but more so being able to mirror that type of success. It was said about the Patriots for years. Right now, the Chiefs are the new Pats.
  10. I like Jalen. I think he's a good QB who had a great year. I don't see him as top 5 in the NFL as some are trying to tout him, but he's definitely top 10. The Eagles OL was the best in the NFL this year though, they have a bunch of weapons in that offense, and Steichen was a great play caller. Hurts still had to go out there and execute for sure, and he was excellent this year, but the slobbery of Hurts reminds me a bit of how they did with Lamar. We'll see if he can string together back to back good years, especially after losing his OC.
  11. Derek Carr won't be signed by anyone until Rodgers resurfaces. Aaron Rodgers right now: "Play football, don't play football, play football, don't play football."
  12. Simply put, this won't happen. There will be no 1st Round RB come April for the Buffalo Bills.
  13. It's Cowherd. What do you expect? I don't understand how a lot of these people keep jobs. Bayless, Cowherd, Nick Wright, Tony Kornheiser, Dominique Foxworth, Max Kellerman, all of them are basically insufferable. I have never heard anyone say they actually like any of them. But, here they are. Still spewing idiotic takes on a daily basis.
  14. Maybe we could pry Kirk Thuggins away from Minny? Maybe Diggs is looking for a reunion like Carr and Adams? We might be able to pull off an even swap
  15. It means he wants Allen to stick to YouTube and quit playing QB.
  16. Carr will have some suitors. NO, Carolina, Tampa, the Jets possibly. I doubt he's able to secure anything more than a 2 or 3 year deal though.
  17. LT - Dawkins LG - Patterson (ND, 3rd/4th Rd) C - Morse RG - Seumalo (FA) RT - Darnell Wright (Tenn, 2nd)
  18. Oh, I definitely agree with both of you. It is strange, and some things don't sit right with me about it, but I'm not buying the whole clone thing or anything like that. Apparently we can't discuss some other things either because every thread gets shut down. Either way, I'd imagine all of this will continue to play out and he shows up with a clean bill at TC when it gets started. I will say this though, I hope the clone is an upgraded All-Pro version. You know, just in case that is the case.
  19. The answer is they could have talked about it or had GoPro footage of the entire incident from start to finish, but the conspiracy theorists are still going to believe whatever they want to believe. It could also be that he just wants to move past it, not think about it, and get on with the rest of his life. Only Damar knows.
  20. The conspiracy theorists are going to do what the conspiracy theorists are going to do, and they will believe what they will believe. There is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds.
  21. Dawkins is the best player we have on the OL. This could blow up in your face in an instant. You don't trade him, create another hole, and hope that you hit on the pick you get for him. If we have a guy fall to us that we like better, then draft the other. Let them battle it out. Best man wins, but the OL will still be comprised of the best 5 we have by moving whoever around. For years NE has only drafted guys who they felt could play T as well as G. That versatility always helped them have one of the best OL's in the league for years.
  22. And what does misery love?............ Company. Because they are miserable, they try to drag whoever else they can down into the same pit of misery.
  23. I am just seeing this thread for the first time. It's basically the same thing I said in a thread I created this morning about the OL, and a breakdown of what the Chiefs did, but I didn't know about the convo Veach had with Reid.
  24. God save us, everyone, will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns - The Catalyst - Nice
  25. There are facts and there are excuses. In 2020-2021 he had the 10th best OL in the league. That was an MVP caliber year. That was a year with a 69% completion percentage. That year he had 14 total turnovers. This year his OL was 23rd in the league and he was sacked 33 times in 16 games. He still put up almost 5,000 total yards and 45 TD's. He still managed to have the 2nd highest QB rating of his career. He had the 2nd most in yards per attempt in his career. All of this while playing the last half of the season with a torn ligament in his elbow. When you are running for your life on almost every play, while trying to find a guy open downfield, you are going to be prone to making more mistakes and taking hits that cause fumbles. Were some of them on him? Absolutely. There are also turnovers that were on Mahomes, on Burrow, on Herbert, on Lawrence, on every other QB in this league. But he also can't throw the ball and go catch it for himself either. He had 4 INT's that were directly off of his guys' hands or chest that so gratuitously went straight to a defender. There is also no other elite QB in this league who does more with less than Allen. I swear, these narratives that some of you people continue to push are completely dried up. But, here you stand, continuing to beat the flies out of that dead horse. Again, fix the OL and it changes the entire dynamic of the offense from top to bottom. Fix the OL and we are not on the couch for the next SB.
