I'd rather have someone else than this 🤡. His airplane incident, his whole Prima Donna attitude, and someone who is rich af already moaning about $$$. He's coming off his 2nd ACL injury in the same knee and is over 30. Go float off into the sunset.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
H2o replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He definitely would be much better off in NY with the Jets or Miami. I think he is exactly the type of QB that Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman were looking for in SF though. He's CK, the upgraded in a lab version. Brown is better than Davis though. At least he can get separation. And the TE's? He's had one of the best TE's in the NFL in Andrew's, and Hurst wasn't a slouch either. Not to mention, the threat of his legs makes things happen. He'd definitely be a problem, like you said, in either Miami, NY, and possibly even Washington. -

I like Lamar and he's fun to watch play. But even a lot of his passing is set up by his legs, or the threat there of. I know I've watched him throw 10 or 15 TD's in the Red Zone where he could run, but throws a little 3 yard type TD pass. He's one of the best scramble drill QB's I've ever seen, especially running to his right. He is NOT a traditional pocket passer though and never has been. He still struggles reading defenses, throwing passes outside the hashes, and with timing consistently. -
He's a big boy, and he's got straight line speed, but he's an edge defender and one of the knocks on him is his lack of instincts against the run. We just had one of those.

I work with a few Steelers fans. You think Bills fans are bipolar? Yeah
-
I don't hate him at all. I'm talking about what the Steelers' fan reactions would be. That's your delusional assessment. I don't think he's anything more than a gadget player and you can't argue his affinity for untimely drops that somehow seem to find the defenders. He could have stayed, but it doesn't hurt that he's gone.

I have been as well....... Just couldn't resist. Agree with the thoughts as well. NO obviously hasn't learned from their previous situations. I also don't want us to sacrifice too much of our future to bring in older, pricey players in hopes they put us over the top. It could blow up in our face.
-
Two things. Money and draft picks. We could go all in like that, but it could end up setting us back. Look at the Eagles this past season. They sacrificed a lot by going all in, came up short, and now they have to navigate that. They look like they will take a step back this year. On top of that, word is Hopkins wants to go play in Dallas. We also still have a roster to fill out and don't want to do it with a bunch of UDFA's and league minimum FA's. Injuries happen and we need quality depth, not just bargain basement options.

Lamar Jackson as TV analyst? It’s logical.
H2o replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
At least you can understand what they're saying. Lamar on TV would be like 3 hours of the inner city version of Farmer Fran from the Waterboy. -
Let him drop a pass that so gratuitously lands right in a defender's hands a couple times. They'll be looking to tie a couple cinderblocks to his feet and dump him in one of the three rivers.

I can't see us drafting a TE in Round 1. I just can't. There are a bunch of Day 2 or Day 3 guys I could see us in on though. Look at who they were just going after in FA, Donald Parham, and that kind of gives you the mold they are looking for. 1. Darnell Washington / Georgia 2. Luke Musgrave / Oregon St. 3. Sam LaPorta / Iowa 4. Luke Schoonmaker / Michigan 5. Josh Whyle / Cincinnati I left off Michael Mayer and Dalton Kincaid because I believe they both have the chance to be taken in the latter 3rd of the first Round. I love Mayer, but I am a self admitted Notre Dame homer as well. I love Kincaid's athleticism and what he brings in the passing game, but back injuries scare me a bit. I'm sure his medicals will be a huge factor in where he gets drafted. If either of those guys are around the middle of Day 2, I might pull the trigger to go get one.

Sure, let's put Lamar on TV. He and Leodis McKelvin could be the new Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. The new Nance and Romo. -
It has to be the $$$ he's asking for. He doesn't have an injury or anything at the present time. The Eagles are also strapped cap wise and can only spread the funds around but so much. I would imagine they aren't prioritizing a G. They'll just draft one in the first couple rounds.

I still think this would be more fun to watch with him in a Bills uni. There's something about the #29 that makes Henry want to shove people. How would you like to get stiff-armed and then used as a blocker by the opposing team's RB?
-
Alright, so I think we're starting to get an idea of what the Bills draft is gonna look like. Probably an OL'man or two, a MLB, more of a power style RB, and a TE. DE probably in there again as well, possibly even another WR.

He'll end up in NY on a cheap, 1 year deal
