Should we be concerned about Milano in pass coverage this year?
H2o replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
Truth is Milano is now 30 years old. Not everyone is Lavonte David. He may never be the same player again. I believe Dorian Williams will be ready to step in and play a big role on defense if need be. -
One solid season as a starter and B💥💥M. Kinda sketchy to me.

Good for Tua...... Better for us. We know what he is.

Bills 2024 Training Camp! (related content only please)

Josh looks like he's in his best shape ever upon arrival to TC this year. Just my 2. -
Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief
H2o replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand your point on his build, but Smith was cooking everybody in college and that was while playing an SEC schedule. It's why he won the Heisman. Smith was also an excellent route runner coming into the league. Worthy has never been close to that on either front. Let us not forget the Chiefs just had another burner at WR, who was a bit bigger, they thought would play that deep threat role. Didn't quite work out with Mecole Hardman. -
Pretty sure the Dolphins were banking on him being a heavy contributor on that defensive front with the ongoing rehabs of Phillips and Chubb. I wish Barrett the best in his retirement.

Diggs had proven to be a distraction. There was friction between Diggs and JA. There was friction between Diggs and the coaching staff. There may have been friction between Diggs and Beane. We were able to get out from under Diggs contract and get a 2nd in return. Everyone has handled themselves in a professional manner since.

Played at Temple. Spent his first few years with the Steelers. Not too surprising he would go back.

Boomer Esiason speculating Devonte Adams will be traded.
H2o replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dang it. They could have swapped Zach Wilson for Adams straight up. -
We're not handing out the draft capital to acquire, nor are we going to pay Aiyuk $30M a year. It won't happen.

Who was your all-time favorite player that was NOT on the Bills?
H2o replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
For me, as a kid, it was Randall Cunningham. He was different in that era of QB's. To see a guy with his athletic ability that could throw one of the most perfect spirals, it was really something. Then I was really hype for him when the Vikings went 15-1 in 1998. They should have gone to the SB that year, but they choked against Atlanta. -
If you thought we get almost no DPI/Holding calls
H2o replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because the NFL wants Lawrence to be an upper tier QB, to be another face for them, but even with help he's falling short. -

It's hard to Referee in the NFL. -
Russell reminded me more of Daunte Culpepper than anyone. He surely doesn't remind me of Allen outside of them both have a cannon.

The Giants oline last year was historically bad
H2o replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daniel Jones, Devito, and whoever else they played last year are all meh at best. Yes, the OL was terrible for the Giants. We all knew this. But the OL wasn't done any favors by subpar QB play. They also had a ton of injuries up front and were dumpster-diving to fill holes. That contributed as well. For us, Allen makes the OL look better than they really are. He has since his arrival. This isn't the same same crap show we have seen previously, but we don't have the Chiefs OL, or an OL like the Eagles had, or one of the other top groups. We have an overall decent group, with a couple better than the rest, that Allen can work with better than the previous groups. Dawkins is a good LT. McGovern was solid at LG last year and huge upgrade over Saffold. Moving him to C is..... I don't like the idea. I'd rather give those reps to Van Pran. That leaves who at LG? Edwards? Are we confident in that? I don't know. Seems like a lot of question marks up front this year. I like Torrence at RG. He was one of the players I wanted us to draft in 2023, we did, and he played solid for a rookie. Now on to Spencer Brown. We can all agree he was better last year. He's good in the run game and likes to maul people. His pass pro is still lacking at times, getting caught off balance by countermoves and not being able to get out quick enough against speed rushers. Hopefully, another healthy off-season continues his development and he is the bookend we hope for. We have a tough schedule this year. A lot of good teams. Teams with good interior defenders. I hope these moves on the OL shake out. If they don't, the season won't be pretty and Allen will be out here running for his life again. -
Aaaaaand just like that, Keon Coleman got his new nickname: Tortuga

No, not any of them, although we did almost lose to Skylar Thompson in the Playoffs if you remember. If you look through the years, Shanahan (and his system) make it easier for a QB to succeed than others. He took Matt Ryan from good, to MVP caliber. There are a list of backups who have seen success in his offense when their number has been called. No one is insinuating Purdy is some dumpster-dive QB, but he was not heralded coming out of college (spare us any mention of Tom Brady because he's clearly not). He is good in that system. I don't believe he would be as successful elsewhere. Mike McDaniel runs the same offense. Maybe, after scouting this coming year, they see a 2nd or 3rd Round prospect whom they think would be successful in the system. A QB they feel could keep the offense moving in the same direction without a $50M price tag. Tua is solid, but Tua is limited. Tua is solid, but Tua is fragile. His arm strength is meh, his mobility is meh, and his injury history make him a risk to invest heavily in. He does have good accuracy for the most part and gets the ball out of his hands quickly, but he is the beneficiary of the McDaniel/Shanahan system as previously noted about others.
-
Yeah..... I was hoping the Phins would be completely stupid and hand him that big $$$ contract. Sounds like they have their reservations too. They also could be thinking that McDaniel could run his offense with just about anyone. Shanahan can for the most part. Maybe they think McDaniel can turn someone into Brock Purdy 2.0?

Then he'll hit the open market, they'll be left in limbo at QB, and they'll have to eat a hefty cap charge next year as well because of it. Then they still have to worry about CeeDee Lamb and Parsons. They created this situation, and Dak does hold all the power here despite how all of us feel about him as a QB.

Good for her. She has worked really hard to get where she's at now. I don't think she will ever really have much of a hand in the Bills, which is why Mr. Pegula transferred a stake to the other daughter.

Dalton Kincaid/Dawson Knox.....over/under 110 combined receptions??
H2o replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expect Kincaid to be leaned upon more this year. It wouldn't surprise me if he had 80-90 catches himself. That means Knox would only have to contribute 21-31 catches for the over. Probably a safe bet here. Over. -
I see the Jets as our biggest threat. Their defense typically gives Josh a hard time. If they get a healthy, 2021 version of Aaron Rodgers then we could have a real fight on our hands. Even if they get the 2022 version, it's an upgrade from their QB situation last year. They added OL help in Smith, Moses, and Fashanu. They added Mike Williams in FA and Malachi Corley in the draft @ WR. They traded for Haason Reddick. They added DJ Reed and Chuck Clark to their Secondary. They also play a 3rd place schedule where we play a 1st place schedule. I think they are in "win now" mode, and their team (on paper) looks very formidable. Will it play out that way? Who knows. Injuries happen and players do disappoint.

Von Miller/Epenesa/Groot.......over/under 20 combined sacks??
H2o replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
You want to take the over. Three guys, who are supposedly our best pass rushers, can't get over 20 combined sacks? 7 sacks a piece? One get 11 and the other two get 5? Whatever it may be, I'm not confident enough to say yes. I'm going with the under.
