NFL Week #2 - 9/18/2022 - 2nd half thread Titans at Bills
H2o replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This butt whooping was thorough. We may have also broken Tannehill mentally. Another W, even with all of the injuries. On to Miami. Squish the phish -
What about Frank Clark and his gun charges he just recently pleaded out on? 🤔

We'll see how good the depth is tonight against Tennessee. If we, even with injuries along the interior DL, still get pressure on Tannehill and find a way to contain Henry then I'm not worried about Miami. Our defense is predicated on keeping everything in front of them, which is perfect for how Tua and Miami are running their offense. If our front four terrorizes Tua the way I expect, then he'll be throwing wobblers and seeing ghosts all game long. One big game, against a defense that seemingly rolled over, is not a cause for concern in my book. Flacco had 307yds, 4 TD's, and 0 INT's against the Browns yesterday as well. Do we think his career is now revived? Until this becomes consistent, and not just a spot occurrence against a suspect defense, I'll hold my judgments. Are they better than last year though (Miami), especially on offense? Yes, and they should be because of the addition of Tyreek Hill.

Tough situation for Lance. He loses a year of possible development, the 49ers will do much better with Jimmy G, and now San Fran will really be behind the 8 Ball as far as how the future plays out. This doesn't bode well and likely pushes Lance more towards the "bust" column on the draft chart.

Saw a stat on Countdown this morning. Only 6 of Tua's 33 pass attempts last week traveled more than 15 yards. And his noodle arm was on display, one-hopping passes to wide open receivers 20 yards away.
-
So basically, Tua is saying he has trouble seeing the field. Also, he's saying that he is going to wait until guys are "open" and clearly in his line of sight before he will throw the ball. A recipe for disaster in this league. Both he and McDaniel make themselves sound like idiots.

Justin Herbert - fractured rib cartilage, day to day
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they are smart, then they'll sit Herbert for the next month. They have the Jags, Texans, Browns, and Broncos on deck. Heck, I might even sit him until after the Bye. The game after the Broncos is Seattle. Even without Herbert they should at least win 3, if not 4 of those games. That would have them at 4-3 or 5-2 heading into the Bye week. Herbert could then return at basically full health in week 9 against the Falcons. They need to think long term here and not put him in harm's way to lose him for a longer period imo. -
Justin Herbert - fractured rib cartilage, day to day

No surprise and I don't blame Tyrod at all. There are levels of incompetence that have no business in this league or anywhere else for that matter. This is surely an example of such. -

H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs' first appearance on the show was quite memorable with his: Steve Harvey: "Leave it" Diggs: "In" answer. Classic We must have been putting our posts together at the same time. -
‘It’s Over!‘: LeSean McCoy Rips Patriots Head Coach
H2o replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that it's a combination of things. They just had a solid season last year, but that was with McDaniels heading up the offense. McDaniels was a huge loss for them imo. He was there for 5 out of 6 championships. The replacements, so to speak, Patricia and Judge are putrid. The roster is lacking the talent it once had ALL the way around. OL, Secondary, DL, having Mac-n-Cheese back there versus Brady, WR, LB, RB, it's really not good at all. Their drafting has been pretty bad the last 5 or 6 years as well. The loss of Brady, and now McDaniels, just pushed everything else to the forefront and the light is shining directly on their HC/GM. -
Mahomes and Allen are basically even to me. They both make all kinds of off script throws, using different arm angles, are accurate to every level of the field, and their arm strength allows them to make throws into windows that other QB's just can't. I do believe that Josh is the better athlete of the two, and therefore more dangerous. But as far as actual QB play, throwing the football, reading defenses, and whatnot, I have them dead even. They are clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the QB's in this league. Herbert is still growing as a QB. He's got every tool you would want in a Franchise QB. To me though, every time I watch him play, it just seems like he doesn't have that same killer instinct that you see with Mahomes and Allen. If the game is close in the end, and you need a single game winning drive, Mahomes and Allen are by far the best in the NFL. Herbert just doesn't seem to have that same fire and that "it" factor to me. He will have a long, successful career in the NFL. But right now, I don't put him in the same tier as Allen and Mahomes.

The guy has had a bad run as far as injuries go the last few years. Seattle is likely stuck with him until after the 2023 season as well, where his dead cap hit becomes more manageable at $14.2M.
-
I remember reading somewhere, may have been on this board, that the only friction was between him and Cousins. I also think what I read said it had something to do with Cousins and his religious habits/preferences that Diggs didn't really want to be a part of.

That's about as sure a bet as you losing your wallet

Can't wait to see how that Chiefs OL handles that LA pass rush. I hope to see Mack and Bosa knocking Mahomes around a lot. This will be a real test for KC, unlike the Cardinals.

That is strange. See, one mention of Dunkirk Don and the unexplainable begins to happen. (X-Files music playing in the background)

A look at Sam Martin on the sidelines during the games this year........ -
Fear not my friends, Dunkirk Don (a.k.a. Chadwick Chad) will swoop in to save the day. He's already connected the dots and taken into consideration all data points in this situation.

This is such BS - Britt Reid trial now postponed to Sept 2022
H2o replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only way to save any kind of face here is to give him the maximum allowed sentence. Hopefully the judge does the right thing. -
