  1. Lamar gets about 8-10 of those a year to pad the "passing" TD stats.
  2. Surprise, surprise. You knew the ax had to fall somewhere. This is likely just an attempt to save face
  3. Lamar is having a good season so far. They've been talking about him "having a better year than his MVP season" the last couple of weeks. Florio, ESPN, all of them. 15 more weeks to go and a lot of football left to be played. If we get the #1 seed and Josh puts up good numbers then he'll likely get it.
  4. I'd bet my entire life's savings he doesn't. I bet he sits for two or three weeks at the least. The Miami Dolphins and the NFL are now directly in the spotlight. Every sports network in America is all over this story today. He will not be allowed to see the field for at least a couple of weeks.
  5. Ninkovic was just talking about it on "Get Up" and got completely emotional. He said this was part of the reason he walked away when he did. He began to talk about Junior Seau for a second, mentioning his locker was beside Junior. He said he saw a lot of things you don't want to see. Chris Canty also said there is no way Tua should have been on the field for the 2nd half on Sunday, nor last night.
  6. Last night was the first time I had the chance to see Hopewell and Mason play this year due to my work schedule. Hopewell had a bit of a shaky start to their season, losing the first two games against two of the best teams in the state. I also think I understand why after watching them. They have shifted from a run first offense to more of a Spread/RPO scheme. Now they have reeled of three wins in a row. Last night was a 46-0 drubbing of Colonial Heights. First off, Mason is MUCH improved as a passer. I can tell he's really been putting in work. I don't know what his official numbers were, but he made some really nice throws to all levels of the field. He had a Post he threw for a 23 yard touchdown that was an absolute dart and hit his WR right between the numbers. He threw the ball from about the 30 yard line and the WR was about 5 yards in the endzone when it hit him. It was on a rope and there in a heartbeat. There was a play where a WR ran a Post Corner route, he threw the ball with perfect timing, perfect touch, and it was a beautiful 37 yard gain. They also had him getting the ball out of his hands quickly of some WR screen plays. He missed a couple of those, but it was more about him not setting up properly. He also had three tight window throws that were really nice. One was a Slant on a 5 yard TD where he fit the ball in, the WR made a heck of a catch, and held onto the ball after a big hit. He hit a couple WR's who ran nice Curl routes with perfect timing. He threw a couple of nice Out routes. He can still run, and has excellent speed, but I only saw him take off about 5 times last night. All in all it was a solid performance. He threw the ball 20+ times and I only saw 5-7 incompletions I think. You can tell he's playing with a lot more confidence. If he continues to make improvements, and take steps forward like he has from last year to this year, then Buffalo may have a special kid on their hands. Side note: Mason's favorite WR is a young man named Cortez Cheatham. Cheatham plays both WR and CB. This kid is special too. He was on the receiving end of a lot of those passes. He's the one who caught the Slant for the TD and the Post Corner. Not sure where he has offers from, but he's got a real shot to make an impact at the next level as well.
  7. We all know last Sunday was not a back injury. He CLEARLY had a concussion, mild or whatever. Slammed his head on the ground, got up to walk, shook his head real quick trying to clear the cobwebs, then began to wobble when he walked, and teammates had to help him. Last night he has a head injury of a more gruesome variety. That one was scary. Laying there with his fingers all twisted up after being slammed to the ground by a 300+ lb man. It made me think of Trent Edwards and the Adrian Wilson hit. Trent was looking like the QB we had been waiting for until that day. That one hit changed everything. After that he was scared to death in the pocket. His career continued as a backup for a few years, but he was never the same. Tua was just starting his ascension after a couple of mediocre seasons and now this happens. He was definitely playing better. But now one has to wonder if this will change that trajectory. Will he be scared in the pocket? Will he see "ghosts" and be rattled at the first sense of pressure? Mentally, and physically, will he be able to overcome this? Sidney Crosby, different sport I know, has missed a ton of time due to head injuries and I don't believe he's been the same since that terrible concussion he had. I hope Tua returns to full health and doesn't have life altering effects from this. It still makes you wonder with how bad it looked last night on the field.
  8. We should call up Hodgins and Black....wait.....never mind on the second one.
  9. This as well. I hate the platoon system they run at times. If Singletary is getting 5 ypc, and isn't asking out of the game for a breather, then wtf are we playing other guys for? This isn't the defensive side of the football. This is offense, where your most effective players should be on the field as much as possible.
  10. Not even a covered up link, just a straight up post.
  11. I wish they'd stop with the Tua back injury bs. When Milano hits him, he whiplashes, and his head slams into the ground. He gets up, goes to walk, shakes his head, and proceeds to wobble like a punch drunk boxer. The fact that these idiots in sports media are feeding the story is stupid af.
  12. Apparently, Myles has a problem. Someone needs to amputate his lead foot before he ends up worse off than a sprain along with a few lacerations. He got two tickets, in back to back days, going 100+ mph on a freeway. He's going to end up killing himself, killing someone else, or both.
  13. I get tired of reading these "War and Peace" titles
  14. Ford is on IR. The reason he was traded is because he wasn't that good and his athletic profile did not fit what we were trying to do on offense.
  15. A lot of these ideas sound great. Trade for Saquon, trade for Golladay, sign OBJ. Truthfully though, we have a cap situation to navigate. We've also had a run of injuries this year like none I can remember in a looooong time. New, shiny toys would be nice, but we have to be able to sign for need as well. I still think there's a possibility of OBJ come December, but we'll see how it plays out.
  16. Just when you thought it couldn't be done, Big Turk loses his title for longest thread title of all time.
  17. The bottom 5 are all OL. Shocking.
  18. OBJ for the stretch run and Playoffs or Barkley from about Week 6-7 on? Who would have the greater impact?
  19. Paul Walker begs to differ.
  20. Wilson must be excited as can be. Fant, Becton, and Duane Brown all on IR. He won't last long behind that OL.
