  1. Oh, so you're actually being serious. We had a previous poster who had "sources from deep within the organization" on here who was a total clown. We'll see how reliable yours are. I was expecting Tre back on the field for the Pats game tbh.
  2. Are these "sources" from deep within?
  3. Getting Rousseau back will be big as well if it happens. The Lions are a feisty bunch, but I hope we hang enough points on them early to rest guys most of the 2nd half.
  4. The last two 2nd halves have both been without Tremaine Edmunds. For as much crap as I, and everyone else, have given the guy, the stats don't lie. This defense is better with him on the field.
  5. Allen is the truth. He is undoubtedly a top 3 QB in this league, and #1 in my opinion. As long as you have a guy like that, you have a shot to win it all every year. Outside of the Pats run, where they won 6 Championships in 2 decades, stuff like that never generally happens. Some teams may get a couple or three in a single Era, but not the Pats type of success. The health of your star players is a huge deciding factor as well. If we get one, just one SB, I will be happy. Anything after that is a plus. I do think if we win one, we could very well end up winning 3 though. The way this team is built, and the core of relatively young guys we have, makes it very possible. We shall see. I hope that one SB is finally this year, but a lot of football left to go.
  6. I'm happy for Jerry. He was a great member of the Bills for years. He had some stupid penalties at times, and had trouble actually getting home for the sack when we needed it most, but he was always up there in pressure rates. He's having a bit of a revival in Houston. Good for him. We needed to look to the future and see what we had in the younger guys. That's what we are doing. He would be a nice rotational piece if we still had him, but they wanted to use the $$$ elsewhere. I'm not disappointed he's gone. Our DL has definitely been upgraded versus last year. It's a win for both the Bills and Hughes, except Jerry's team isn't winning.
  7. Nah, he actually got into Culinary Arts and does his Gordon Ramsay thing now. He's actually really good. Been cheffing up all kinds of stuff at the house since he was 13.
  8. Yeah, my son actually quit playing. I didn't think that would happen. I know he had at least one concussion, possibly two, by the time he was 13. I told him it was completely up to him if he wanted to keep playing and he has chosen not to. He was good, a really good LB especially. But I'd rather him not suffer like some of the people you see now days, so I was actually kind of relieved when he hung up the cleats. That was two years ago. I will support him if he changes his mind at any point and wants to go back though.
  9. We really need to come out and make short work of NY this weekend. Have the game over with by the 3rd quarter and the backups playing by the 4th. Rest anyone and everyone of worth we possibly can. Hopefully it's just like the Pittsburgh game.
  10. The Saints are still likely tied to him for at least one more year. He has a $25M+ dead cap hit next year, but only $13M+ in 2024.
  11. I got Duvernay on my FF team so this works out. He may be a decent Flex option now. Sucks for Bateman.
  12. All QB's plead for calls. Many of Allen's are legitimate. Either way, I hope JA17 Van Noy's ole boy this weekend.
  13. So, 2023 will be a bit interesting for Miami. They haven't even added the Chubb deal yet on Spotrac and this is what their cap looks like, $11.78M. I see a few places to free up a quick $8M or so, but they will be right up against it next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/cap/2023/
  14. @ Chicago - W vs Cleveland - W vs Texans - W @ SF - L @ Chargers - Depends on what LA's injury report looks like by them, but probably a W for Miami @ Buffalo - L I don't see them losing to teams like Chicago, who traded their two best defensive players the last couple of weeks and have a lackluster offense. I don't see them losing to a Brissett led Cleveland team. I don't see them losing to the injury riddled Chargers either at the moment, but we can check back in on game week to see what the injury report is looking like. More than likely they will be 4-2 in the next 6. That would have them at 9-5 and clearly in the Playoff hunt.
  15. Rousseau is in the 2nd year of his rookie deal. We don't have to worry about him for another 3 seasons. That's a stretch of a hypothetical at the moment. Also, Von will more than likely be gone by then, the market will be completely different, and so will the salary cap. We have a lot of people coming up on contracts before Groot. But if his play warrants it, and we want to keep him, you pay the man. These are Chubb's career stats. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/ChubBr00.htm His best year was his rookie season, he has missed a lot of time due to injury early in his career, and it doesn't really seem like the $$$ matches the production. Glad the Dolphins made that move and hitched their wagons to him though. Time will tell how it plays out, but this move doesn't make me nervous in the slightest.
  16. Oh, they did. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34938123/sources-dolphins-lb-bradley-chubb-agree-119m-extension
  17. Everyone knows I'm the resident Notre Dame homer on this board. I had really high hopes for Claypool and everyone knows I was banging the table for him in that draft. He was a completely different young man at Notre Dame. He was humble, one of the hardest workers on the team, and always led by example. I watched him improve every year while at Notre Dame. Year one to year two it was his hands. Year two to year three it was his route running. Year four he seemed to put it all together. Go and look at the college tape. He wasn't just a Go Route WR. He had excellent hands, body control, and 4.4 speed in a 6'5" 240lb frame. He came in and had a solid rookie season as well. Somewhere between that rookie year and his 2nd season his attitude changed. It was like he thought he had arrived, but he has a ton of work left to do. Now he is pompous, there was a video of him kicking a guy in the face while one the ground after a bar fight, and seems to just go through the motions. I hope he turns it around and gets back on track, but idk.
  18. I CANNOT believe it.
  19. I think Snyder may know there is actually enough support of the other owners to force him out. Now he'll save face, pocket another $4B-$5B, and go do something else.
  20. Now, this also raises a question about the roster. With the trade for DM yesterday, and Poyer being announced as day-to-day today, is Johnson possibly about to be cut? He has been the weakest link of the S group.
  21. Great news. Sit him against the Jets and let him be in a better place for the Vikes game. Need him for that one.
  22. Deshaun Watson - Serial predator who has no business in the NFL. Joe Mixon - Punching women in the face, especially when you're a 220lb football player, is about as cowardly as you can get. Kareem Hunt - See the above. Christian Wilkins - He's been caught on video grabbing and fondling dudes multiple times now. Keep your homosexual tendencies off of the field. Kyler Murray - Arrogant, throws everyone he can under the bus, and is about as overhyped as they come. Mac Jones - He has the douche attitude of Tom Brady without any of the success to come close to warranting it.
