  1. That’s rough. Hope he can go. Meanwhile, lots of smoke this week from UM boards about Fields not being 100% but all I see from the OSU beat is that he’s totally fine. Not sure what to make of all that.
  2. It was fun to watch him battle up front every play. Looked like a lot of action but nothing egregious jumped out at me.
  3. Just returned from the game. Credit to the lions for not only causing turnovers but for turning them into points. Exciting game to be at— especially the part when it looked like PSU was coming back but they didn’t come back and the Buckeyes won. That was the best. Xichigan Hate Week starts now.
  4. I hear you. The way this team came out of the gate this year was different. Watching them take the best shots of several ranked opponents, figuring those teams out, and then comprehensively dismantling them has been highly, highly satisfying. It does seem different. I never say championship or bust because I try to enjoy each season for what it is, but this does feel like one of *those* seasons. There's still no way in hell I'm laying all those points in a cold weather game against PSU a week before TTUN Go Bucks!
  5. Please don't rain on Saturday.
  6. No way they cover this. If they do, look out.
  7. Two things I know: This season was going way too smoothly. The complete lack of any drama was giving me anxiety. The OSU athletic department will botch this somehow.
  8. Same here. And if the 84-1 super bowl bet hits....
  9. I have my doubts about whether Coach O is doing the same prep work on the Bucks.
  10. A reckoning between Ohio State and Joe Burrow may be on the horizon. That would be a wild, wild scene considering everything he and the program went through together.
  11. Well, this is quite the breakdown.
  12. “Live that dream baby!”
  13. Dobbins is running really hard. Hopefully he’s gearing up for a Zeke-like run down the stretch.
  14. I’ve never appreciated B Deck more than I do right now. Fully covered and no columns blocking my view.
  15. We got a slobber knocker on our hands!
  16. Funny you should bring that up because I was just allaying my concerns with the soothing sounds of Gus Johnson calling the 2014 B1G Championship Game. "Von Bell just went up and said 'Give it here! And don't. Say. Nothin'!'" Lol
  17. How do we feel about Wisconsin this week? Championship-quality team caught in a trap last week and about to ball out with great anger in the shoe, or an exposed over-hyped team that's about to walk into an absolute beat down by the Ryan Day death machine? My sense is that the Badgers are good team with maybe a great defense. I'm expecting a tough game. I'll be in the shoe with my son this weekend - can't wait!
  18. This is interesting.
  19. I love how Day didn't take the bait and get into a dogfight, which is exactly what Dantonio wanted and the prior two coaches at OSU would have gladly obliged. Instead, Day found a way to get the ball to his playmakers in space, run up the score and make MSU try to keep up.
  20. Watching Fields and the offense gradually figure out MSU's defense and then destroy it was highly, highly satisfying. The off-week comes at a good time because it sure looked like a lot of people were getting dinged up out there. Go Bucks!
  21. If Michigan wins out, they’ll have a great argument for the playoffs.
  22. MSU is a home bugaboo PSU is a road bugaboo
  23. Worried about overconfidence heading into a night game with sparty. Everyone seems to be predicting another blow out. I hope we don’t get “Tressled.”
  24. I'm not sure Urban's coaching held back the team, but his hiring practices did. Former LB coach and Urban's good friend Bill Davis certainly held back the defense. Zach Smith held back the WRs, and his relationship to Urban and Ohio State is well documented. Schiano is similar but not as egregious. Now that the "relationship" hires are gone and top-end coaches are developing the top-tier talent that Urban brought in, the team looks angry and fast again like it did in Urban's first few years. Hopefully Day sees that lesson from the end of Urban's tenure and learns from it.
  25. Saturday is going to be a wild scene. I've heard uniformly excellent reports over the years about the atmosphere in and around Memorial Stadium. As for the game, I'm most interested to see if all the injuries along the D line cause noticeable problems against a stronger opponent than the Bucks have faced so far this year. I'm also interested to see if Victor in particular can play as calm and cool as he has so far with the bright lights on him.
