Good analysis. I would also like to add, F Baltimore.
-
Looks like he got benched in the second half of the Cotton Bowl. Final snap counts were Burke 28 and Matthews 47.
-
F it. I'm going too.

Let’s not discuss his body of work tonight lmao. He’s on a roll.

Legendary W Tennessee in the Midwest, went out west to beat Oregon, then headed down to Texas to beat Texas. What a path. And for all the talk of NIL and the portal and the $20M roster, a homegrown kid from Pickerington iced the game. Go Bucks

Yeah, zero turnovers was another satisfying part about the Oregon game. Let’s keep that going.

A few thoughts heading into the semis. Holy Buckeye - that was incredible. Belt to a$$. The offense found huge gaps in the passing game, faster to the edges on the ground, controlled the los, and opened up a 34-0 second-quarter lead on the 13-0 #1 team in the land? Credit Oregon for winning the middle eight minutes, but they were already mortally wounded by a double-foot dropkick right to the face on offense. And the defense was flying around and hitting hard like a silver bullets defense should. Cody Simon looked like the second coming of (dare I say it) Darron Lee out there. Everyone deserves praise. I've wondered about Day, Chip, Frye, Knowles, and LJ at various times over the past few years, but this was a complete effort and total domination at the best time of year. Wow - Go F'n Bucks. So has Day already done enough to keep his job? Probably, but what if they get smashed by the Longhorns? Can the Buckeyes keep their edge for the next round? They were coming off an excruciating loss when they played Tennessee. Oregon was a revenge game. Playing in the semis shouldn't require any extra motivation but I'm wondering if they (coaches and players) will keep that chip on their shoulder next Friday.

One of my buddies refs college games around Chicago (just earned his white hat!). He agreed with the no-call and said the key physical indicators were that the defender’s arms were out and his head was up, which together indicate an intent to make a legal tackle. The tipped ball and the receiver turning into the tackle were additional mitigating factors. Meanwhile, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Penn State can play with either of these teams and has a great shot at making the CFP finals.

Keep that angry, violent energy Buckeyes. We love to see it.

I think McCord took an unfair proportion of the blame for last year, but sure there are bad apples in every fanbase including tOSU’s. I’m not sure Howard is an upgrade. He can move a little better on QB runs, but I’m generally scoring them as a wash. (Also I’m always pulling for the Orangemen, so long as their interests don’t conflict with mine.)

Another fun stat about this season is that the Buckeyes defense has allowed zero (zero!) passing touchdowns since the October 12 game against Oregon. Hopefully Denzel Burke has a redemption game in the Rose Bowl.

We’re going to throw your goalposts in the river was a wild take by Vols fans lol.

Beast of a drive.

I choose to enjoy the rare appearance of Darth Vader Day. Welcome to Columbus, Vols.

Hey kid with no confidence, go hit a 56 yarder to stop the bleeding! NBD!!
-
Time stamp: 21-0, 2nd quarter, Bucks just went for and got a 4th and 4 OSU fans are chanting SEC SEC SEC. Are we back?

The weather thing is interesting — sure the Vols don’t want to play in cold weather, but do we? So many of our players are from different parts of the country now that I’m not even sure. Also, between coaching drama, portal OL drama, ticket sales and in-game control of the music, etc., the game seems like a distraction!

Guys, same page. I just think that Ryan Day has built a soft football team and needs to go. I would like nothing more than for him to prove me wrong over the next four games. As for the Vols, I think they smell blood and are coming in hot. I expect them to really come right at the Bucks. Oddly enough, starting this morning I just started getting hyped about the idea of the skill positions making big plays, and this defense potentially pitching a shutout. I guess that’s how it goes in this soap opera. Go Bucks!

Do we have to?

I was thinking about the Seattle SB play too. The defense and the blocked punt were the problems today, not pounding it in with 17.
-
Lol. Chip went from innovator to has-been in one day for this fanbase. Life comes at you fast.

Tennesee, Hennesey, Lemmesee, it don't matter fire Day. I'm not even close to over the abomination that was the playcalling last Saturday, but I guess we have to move on. Day had the team ready to play Georgia after a crushing loss to TUN two years ago, so I guess we can expect that he will have the team ready for the playoffs this year as well. My current view is that Chip Kelly and Will Howard are the two most responsible for losing The Game, and so I wouldn't mind seeing Day take playcalling back from Kelly for the playoffs even though I think he should not be the coach anymore. Day is a pass-first OC and that is what this offense needs. I have no idea what Kelly was thinking but he needs to not be in charge of anything important going forward. Go Bucks....

I like Ryan Day and feel absolutely awful for him, but he has to go.
