  1. Justin Fields represented Ohio State extremely well during his time in Columbus. I’ll always be a fan.
  2. I did not expect to spend part of my day watching old Dead Schembechlers videos, but here we are.
  3. Why hasn’t QB1 declared? He’s not thinking it over, is he??
  4. Back to work!
  5. Please be true.
  6. Whoever decided to go with the 1920's style 4-4 defense against Alabama in the national championship game, and then stick with that defense until the very end even though it was obvious after 5 minutes that it wasn't working, is who needs to go in my view. Mattison, Coombs, whoever. Pantoni's former assistant recently separating with Purdue and potentially returning to OSU is the type of info that keeps me coming back to this thread - lol. Great stuff!
  7. Smith reminds me of a young Randy Moss. Fast, slim, goes up and catches anything near him.
  8. Take Mattison for all I care. Coombs too (maybe but not really). Other than LJ I’m not happy with the senior leadership on defense. Find more young guys like Washington and let them cook. Pantoni... that hurts. Mick... hallelujah.
  9. Monday was the only Tide game I really watched this season. OSU’s defense gave Jones the underneath passes and he took them all night. There were some nice throws and catches - and not just to Smith. I’m not sure how he would do against different defensive looks. He showed good heart after the leg got banged up. It’s so tough to tell how these kids (if you can call Jones a kid) are going to do in the league.
  10. Great news for the defense. Ruckert betting on himself to break out next year could be epic. Good stuff — hopefully Stroud is a baller.
  11. To my untrained eye his accuracy was better this year than it was in 2019.
  12. Fair enough, and the short season this year makes that question even harder to answer. One other example of toughness was during the Michigan game last year; he aggravated a leg injury, left the game for a very short while (maybe just a play), came back in and immediately threw a nice TD ball.
  13. You don’t think he showed incredible toughness against Clemson?
  14. I’d love to see Ruckert back for his senior year. I can’t help but think OSU didn’t make the most of his talents (a longstanding issue with tight ends that was supposed to change with Ruck) even with the iconic one handed catches against Wisconsin and others. Agree with all of this. Seems to me that Fields is every bit the QB that Deshaun Watson is.
  15. Even with poor first half stats last night, Fields looks solid to me and more NFL ready than Haskins did when he left.
  16. Congrats to Bama who is as good as advertised. Just devastating. The Buckeyes make big plays and it’s awesome and exciting and too much for just about any team, but Saban just drives that tractor up and down the field and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Didn’t matter who was in or out tonight; Bama out played OSU, out coached OSU, and is a more than worthy champion. 13-0 is incredible in any season, but especially in this remarkable season. As for the Buckeyes, as I’ve mentioned, I thought there would be no football this year and that the last pass Justin Fields would throw as a Buckeye would be an interception against Clemson. It’s amazing that they fought their own conference, cobbled a season together, won the B1G, avenged losses to Clemson, and played for the natty. It’s a painful loss for a lot of different reasons, but this was a very entertaining season and Ohio State football has given me a great distraction from everything else going on in the world. And for that, I say How Firm Thy Friendship and Go Bucks. We’re on to Baltimore.
  17. @BillfromNYC congrats on a great game, an unbelievable season, and another championship.
  18. I still can't believe OSU went from no season in September to playing Alabama in January for a natty. I'm nervous but very confident that the Bucks will go hard tonight. Just an incredible opportunity.
  19. I was hoping OL would stay intact.
  20. Good morning Buckeyes!!
  21. Looks like no Miyann Williams, which is too bad for him and the team. He’s been running hard the past couple of games.
  22. Once upon a time getting robbed of a turnover like that at the end of a game would have broken the Bills.
  23. TUN is a mess.
